I liked the list, but could you please take a look at the Manual of Style. Wikipedia has easy coding which allows you to automatically create haedings with lines under them. You rarely need to add ----. I've edited the page now, see what you think. Mgm|(talk) 11:20, Feb 7, 2005 (UTC)
- You're welcome. Remember that you don't have to use a comma in people's names. Try their first name and family name in different orders if you're not sure which one is used, but don't switch them on purpose. The links between articles won't work then. :) Mgm|(talk) 11:28, Feb 7, 2005 (UTC)
Welcome
Hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. Be bold in editing pages. Here are some links that you might find useful:
- Try the Tutorial. If you have less time, try Wikipedia:How to edit a page.
- To sign your posts (on talk pages, Articles for deletion page etc.) use ~~~~ (four tildes). This will insert your name and timestamp. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes).
- You can experiment in the test area.
- You can get help at the Help Desk
- Some other pages that will help you know more about Wikipedia: Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, Wikipedia:Civility, Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not
- If you made IP edits before creating a user account, you can attribute your IP edits to your account at Wikipedia:Changing attribution for an edit.
There is a Wikipedia:Notice board for India-related topics. We're working on a Indian colloaboration of the week.
I hope you stick around and keep contributing to Wikipedia. Drop a note at Wikipedia:New user log.

- Welcome. I noticed your edits to History of Science. They're good, but needs more style edits.I feel it would help you if you read the Tutorial or Wikipedia:How to edit a page (as pointed to by Utcursch). Also remember that you can sign in talk pages by using ~~~~ (four tildes). Good work, have fun. -- Sundar 05:19, Feb 8, 2005 (UTC)
License?
Are you looking for {{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}? Try adding it, click Show Preview button and if you are OK, submit. -- Sundar 07:43, Feb 8, 2005 (UTC)
Re:Copyright and blogs
Dear Sundar,
I had a doubt, I was sure you will be able to answer. I now hold a Creative Commons "Some rights reserved" licence. I was wondering if anything prevents me from putting up my contributions on my blogs. Anything legally/ethically wrong with that? Also, am I elegible to put up 'minorly edited' versions of my articles on my blog? Are they still mine??
Could you please clarify?
Regards, Prashanthns 08:46, 8 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- I saw your attempt at the license. I would suggest that you remove all that and use {{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}. See my userpage to know that it is exactly same as what you've done, but a more elegant way. Coming to your question, this license doesn't restrict you or any one against using this. You can use it freely even if you haven't contributed anything to an article. If you want to know the ethical perspective, I would say that, you cite wikipedia as stated in Wikipedia:Citing Wikipedia. Also, I would ask you not to put material from talk pages. See the section User talk:Sundar#Record of me getting my fingers burnt due to my edits to know why I say this. All the best. -- Sundar 08:52, Feb 8, 2005 (UTC)
Misspelled title
Could you please use {{db|misspelled title}} the next time you accidently put an article in the wrong place? This way admins can easily find those articles and get rid of them. Mgm|(talk) 11:55, Feb 8, 2005 (UTC)
Hello to the BR Hills
Prashanthns,
- I worked at the clinic in the BR Hills for a few months in 1997. I remember the place fondly, and it was where I really started to learn Kannada...ironically, since it was my exposure to the Soliga which gave me theimpetus to learn better Kannada. I hope things are going well there. Does Srinivasan still work there? Who are the doctors now?

Thanks for the Barnstar

AFD on Clarecraft
I noticed you voted Delete in the Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Clarecraft for the very valid reason that it was simply a copy-paste from the company's website. I was not the original creator of the entry, but I've rewritten it, and I would appreciate if you'd take a look at the new article for Clarecraft and consider changing your vote. Thanks! Nominators can indeed vote on AfDs
Hi there,
You've been strikethoughing AfD votes and telling folks that nominators can't vote, but that's not my understanding of the process. In fact, on the articles for deletion page it instructs nominators to 'Consider creating the first entry, for example: *Delete per nomination. to begin consensus gathering.' I, for one, have been acting according to that instruction.

Vandalism?
You accused me of vandalism on the page for Aaron Presley. Why don't you get your facts straight before you mouth off. The change I made to the Judith Miller article was to remove this sentence:
"Unless she decides to testify, or is released by order of Judge Hogan or a higher court, she will remain there until the Grand Jury session is over in October 2005 or extended."
Obviously, she had already agreed to testify and was released from jail. The sentence no longer applied. So the next time you want to accuse someone of "vandalism," it might help to have a basic understanding of what you're talking about.
Also. I'm obviously still active. Wrong there too.
Hi,
You might want to learn about Greek Organizations. Try reading about Fraternities and Sororities before you try to mark their pages for deletions. Also, please try to learn the difference between a LOCAL and a NATIONAL organization. Try www.greekchat.com and also try reading through the National Panhellenic Conference or Inter-Fraternity Council at any University. Thanks!
Strike-off reversion
Thanks for this reversion -- I'm happy that things have been sorted out. An apology in turn from me: on reflection I would have been better to query the strikeout here, rather than in the vote. Anyway, overall the only important thing is to get the outcome right, and that's happened. Cheers, Sliggy 23:23, 29 October 2005 (UTC)

- No probs. You may want to move it to your user page though (edit the section to move the templates). Also, you may be interested in joining the Kannada wikipedia. --Pamri • Talk • Reply 06:47, 2 November 2005 (UTC)
