Orphaned non-free media (File:Chromecast.png)[edit]

Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading File:Chromecast.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Werieth (talk) 13:53, 10 September 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Randolph Ellis[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Randolph Ellis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Ducknish (talk) 18:09, 13 April 2014 (UTC)

Do not upload higher resolution non-free images[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to an article may fail our non-free image policy. Please read up on our Non-free image criteria; one of these criteria requires that images are of a low resolution, so please stop uploading higher resolution images. If you have any other questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Rambo's Revenge (talk) 07:10, 28 April 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:The O.C. Opening Logo S3.png[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:The O.C. Opening Logo S3.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

Your contributed article, Gay Propaganda[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Gay Propaganda. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Societal attitudes toward homosexuality#Opposition to "promotion of homosexuality". Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Societal attitudes toward homosexuality#Opposition to "promotion of homosexuality" – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. TheLongTone (talk) 12:04, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

January 2015[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm SNUGGUMS. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person, but you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Snuggums (talk / edits) 21:02, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Vitalyzdtvfb.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Vitalyzdtvfb.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:05, 31 May 2015 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Vitalyzdtvfb.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Vitalyzdtvfb.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 17:12, 31 May 2015 (UTC)

June 2015[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed a file deletion tag from File:Vitalyzdtvfb.jpg. When removing deletion tags, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. There is no evidence of a release on the facebook page Whpq (talk) 16:31, 7 June 2015 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Aaron Heick[edit]

Hello, Rudolph Davis. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Aaron Heick, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Aaron Heick to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, Sulfurboy (talk) 18:15, 23 June 2015 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:CBSOrchestra-Dec2013-TimeWontLetMe.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:CBSOrchestra-Dec2013-TimeWontLetMe.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 22:16, 4 October 2015 (UTC)

Rudolph Davis: I don't know how to do it... That's a screen capture from Worldwide Pants Inc. -David Letterman production company which is almost defunct (they still own licensing page for aired videos). CBS doesn't own Letterman's content anymore, and it should be fair use, I don't think they would mind if wikipedia has 1 frame from the show, and this wasn't aired on the TV, this was between commercials.

Feb 2016 - Vice City Edits[edit]

This is a message to warn you not to continually change an edit to what you think is right, especially arguing in such a manner, like using Capitol Letters for your reasons for an edit. The way you behaved is not acceptable, and you certainly acted in a manner that almost nearly became an editing warring. Please behave civilly about Edit reversions, and discuss it calmly in the Talk Pages. GUtt01 (talk) 03:50, 1 February 2016 (UTC)

August 2016[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Trump Tower (New York City), but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. There is no source to add Michael Jackson. Also, don't use offensive edit summaries that make personal attacks against other editors, such as referring to others as "dummies." epicgenius (talk) 23:10, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
