Three-revert rule warning
Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

Hello. While I agree with the content of your recent ANI reports, filing two different reports on the same issue is not helpful. Please combine them into one report. The issue is 100% the same, the last thing we need on ANI is double discussions. Cheers Jeppiz (talk) 10:28, 10 July 2023 (UTC)
Spelling of "grandaughter"
Hello, Seasider53.
You reverted my update to Joseph Cerveau where I corrected the spelling of this word.
So I checked three dictionaries (Oxford, Collins, and Macquarie) - not one of them lists the spelling you used.
Can you cite a source for why you insist on the spelling "grandaughter" instead of the "granddaughter" or "grand daughter" which all of those dictionaries do recognize? Gronk Oz (talk) 23:30, 16 July 2023 (UTC)
Agreed. But nor is it good etiquette to leave that tag in place for so long; it should only be used "for a short period of time, no greater than a few hours". Some people might ask whether the article was ready to publish in mainspace in that case, but let's stick to the point - that spelling is still wrong and I maintain the correction should stand. But you still have left the error there - is there a reason?--Gronk Oz (talk) 10:59, 17 July 2023 (UTC)
Eh? That was probably me misremembering the figure - I don't see how it could change in less than a day! I reckon they shouldn't have the bots listed - having a bot do your editing for you feels like cheating. I counted 23 bots above you're name, so by the power invested in my by myself, I officially name you #30. GirthSummit (blether)18:54, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
I'd like to thank the vandals of the world, since at least half of my daily edits are reversions. I don't think that makes a difference...? Seasider53 (talk) 22:23, 29 July 2023 (UTC)

I have just been copying everyone else who also do the same, if that is wrong I apologize, but my understanding was that if in same transfer window then the edit applies in these sections. Skyblueshaun (talk) 11:03, 7 August 2023 (UTC)

For your benefit, [2][3][4][5]. Four reverts, within 24 hours; not allowed my friend. As you did not acknowledge this in the ANI report, I am left with no option but to block you to prevent further disruption. Please take care in the future. Thanks, Lourdes08:00, 20 August 2023 (UTC)
I have a genuine question. Is there a Wikipedia article that showcases a list of different news outlets or websites that are considered reliable and/or unreliable? That would be very beneficial as a source of reference. Also, thank you for informing me about that article about Rachel Grae in reference to popsugar.com. But why is it generally considered to be an unreliable source. That certain editor on this encyclopedia never went on to explain why... Bibliophile Dragon (talk) 19:56, 31 August 2023 (UTC)

Discussion on the TrueDepth Camera autofocus change on the iPhone 14 Pro
The TrueDepth camera *system* contains all the sensors in the front. The TrueDepth part comes from the infrared camera in combination with the dot projector and the flood illuminator. The front camera is what actually got autofocus and I think the article should reflect that.

Apologies if that was not the place for it but I did not intend that as an idle, "message board" type question. Page's real last name is Davies, and he managed the Kinks, hence the question. If he is related to the Davies brothers then it would be notable, especially since he was fired. 108.28.226.250 (talk) 02:01, 5 November 2023 (UTC)
The source in the article uses "GB", as does the source in the article for the SE 2. Also, the article for iPhone 15 (and seemingly most of the iPhone articles) uses GB.
Yamla, from your ref "The IEC prefixes kibi- (symbol Ki), mebi- (Mi), gibi- (Gi), etc., are generally not to be used except:
when the majority of cited sources on the article topic use IEC prefixes;
in a direct quote using the IEC prefixes;
when explicitly discussing the IEC prefixes; or
in articles in which both types of prefix are used with neither clearly primary, or in which converting all quantities to one or the other type would be misleading or lose necessary precision, or declaring the actual meaning of a unit on each use would be impractical."
Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
The paragraph you left began "In December of that year, the Justice for Kirsty Campaign Committee..." without a reference to a year, since you removed it. If it was referencing the year in the paragraph above, it was still incorrect. Seasider53 (talk) 18:43, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
thanks for your collaborative edits; you still haven't explained your lack of edit summary, your misunderstanding of the word "historical", or your reversal of the overlinking to tangential.
I accept your apology. For someone who can't locate their caps lock or shift key, "do better" provides me with much mirth. Seasider53 (talk) 18:51, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
so, did you think you were reversing vandalism?
or simply going too fast for your actual ability?
either way, you certainly need watching by an experienced editor.
Re your post at AN/I: I fixed a misapplication of the {{Reflist-talk}} template which should have kept the YouTube references along with the proper topic section. [6] Apparently not having that space afterwards messes things up. Before the fix, you mentioned [7] that the links (now gone) weren't related to your post. Now that the problem is fixed, I thought you might want to edit that part out of your post. I wouldn't change another editor's words myself. IP block
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).
Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is 64.135.137.108. Have been without power for three days, so I'm guessing something got reset on the internet provider's side. Seasider53 (talk) 22:13, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
In that case I direct you to WP:IPECPROXY where there's directions on how to request IP block exemption through email to the checkusers' list. Yes, I could give it to you myself but ... a) I'm not familiar enough with you as an editor to feel comfortable doing that, and b) the recent block history, even if the last one was by an admin who spectacularly imploded and banned themselves later, would also make it hard to defend if I were asked to. Daniel Case (talk) 16:32, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
This isn't what the pop-up says to do when I try to edit. I might as well just wait for the auto-expire now. (The other block I received was from an admin who lost his privileges shortly thereafter, but I digress. My block was not undeserved.) Seasider53 (talk) 16:44, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
Hi Seasider, I recently created Butler School (Portland, Maine). It is a very interesting old schoolhouse in the West End of Portland. Since I noticed that you sometimes take pictures of buildings and infrastructure, I think you may be interested in photographing the building for Wikipedia. Hi. I added some text to JC's page, cited and with links, and you removed it pretty much immediately. I've not made many edits so am not massively familiar with the site - but I've written for websites professionally for a couple of decades so am slightly bemused. Could you enlighten me please? Thx.
