  1. Cyberpuke (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) Active since 2006. My major contribution to Wiki is the California Institute of the Arts page. From there, I developed many of the pages of persons associated with the college. To be clear- I am not PR person for the school, or in any way formally affiliated.. I would use my JSTOR access to look up art history and related fields of humanities from a broader range of sources, as my interests lie in the history of significant forms of human expression. 3. Animalparty (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) Active since Oct. 2013 with over 12,000 edits and 100 pages created, I am involved in expanding coverage of arthropods (especially millipedes of late), fossil organisms, and science biographies, with interests in organisms for which there is very little accessible literature (online or off), and for which the Wikipedia coverage has long been absent or impoverished. I currently have a free basic JSTOR account but can only view 3 articles at any given time, and must wait two weeks or so before I can read anymore, which makes it difficult to accumulate sufficient quality sources for an article, or to verify references in GA/FA reviews, etc.--Animalparty-- (talk) 07:01, 13 November 2014 (UTC) Approved[reply]
  4. Uhlan (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I am active in article creation, particularly articles with military and historical backgrounds. I would use JSTOR to add more references to the smaller articles which tend to lack veritable information. Uhlan talk 09:00, 13 November 2014 (UTC) Approved[reply]
  5. Dudley Miles (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I have successfuly nominated five articles on Anglo-Saxon history for FA over the past year, and would find JSTOR access very useful, particularly for articles in more obscure journals. 6. BlackCab (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) Long-time and regular editor with 10,000+ edits. 9. Xelgen (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) Active since late 2006, sysop, botmaster. I often engage in fact checking and FA/GA review on broad range of topics with natural sciences/technology/engineering being of most interest and personal competency. Unfortunately there are no Universities/Public libraries providing access to JSTOR or similar sources in my country of residence, nor it seems any other active editor on project has access to it at the moment. --Aleksey Chalabyan a.k.a. 10. Ww2censor (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) Active editor since 2005, engaged in occasionally trying to save an FAR of Irish interest. 12. Դավիթ Սարոյան (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) Active editor since 2009 over 8000 edits and 500 articles created, I edit biology and biology related articles in hywiki. I'm a junior researcher at Molecular Biology Institute of RA, molecular biologist researching in the field of virology. I will use JSTOR to improve biology articles in Armenian wiki as well as in my study as there's no any institution around me, which provides access to JSTOR. --Դավիթ Սարոյան (talk) 15:11, 17 November 2014 (UTC) Approved[reply]
  13. Iñaki LL (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) Hi! I am a long-standing editor with over 3,000 edits. I created a few articles on Basque geography and music, but basically I have built on started articles poorly or insufficiently elaborated, expanding and correcting them with detail, accuracy and relevance. I deal with Basque culture, geography, history and society, with a special focus on the 7-9th centuries around the Pyrenees (northern Spain, southern France), the 15-16th centuries in the Basque area, and the turn of the 19th century across the same region. Unfortunately I only get limited access to academic and journalistic sources in English. That (e.g. JSTOR) would greatly add to my pursuit of bringing accurate and relevant English language information to the articles. Iñaki LL (talk) 15:41, 17 November 2014 (UTC) Approved[reply]
  14. I am an editor since 2011 mainly on it.wikipedia, where I am very active on general maintenance, quality warnings, organization of "quality festivals", evaluation of good and featured articles (only recently) and a lot of deletion procedures, with many articles published or enlarged in very different area. I am probably quite close to be "Aktive Sichter" (it is a matter of months) on de.wiki and I am close to the 500 edits required on fr.wiki to be "automatiquement vérifié". I know a lot of languages (Some of "my" articles just to prove it: es:Monumento a José Martí, el:Moskauer Deutsche Zeitung, fr:Place du Maréchal-Lyautey). The more access I have to information, the more I can make it availble independetly of the editing Language. --Alexmar983 (talk) 20:35, 17 November 2014 (UTC) Approved[reply]
  15. This has been very helpful over the last year, and I would like to renew, if possible. It's helped me with WP:FAC especially, when I've been able to check references, and suggest improvements. Adam Cuerden (talk) 10:04, 18 November 2014 (UTC) Approved[reply]
  16. I have edited >10k articles including >1k in 2014. In addition to lots of copyediting, I focus on genetic engineering, materials science, energy storage, computer science and economics. I run across many incomplete citations that access to JSTOR would allow me to repair. Thanks! Lfstevens (talk) 12:17, 18 November 2014 (UTC) Approved[reply]
  17. Dauster (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I have edited since October 2005, with more than 5500 edits, particularly on the Weekly Torah portion, sections of the Hebrew Bible, on which I have written more than 60 articles. I would hope to add citations to and anthologize articles on the Hebrew Bible. Thanks for your consideration. Approved
  18. Bruin2 (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I have been contributing to Wikipedia.en since 2010, particularly for topics involving Oklahoma history, though I have made some contributions in other areas as well. I have seen several references to materials on JSTOR, but have no access to this source. Access to these should enable me to check information that is available on other public sources, as well as to find information that otherwise is not readily available. 19. Thine Antique Pen (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) During my time on Wikipedia, I have created over 9,000 articles and made over 44,000 edits. Over 100 of my articles have been listed at DYK, and I write about a wide range of topics. I believe that JSTOR will allow me to access many articles that I currently cannot see, and would greatly help me to improve my contributions to Wikipedia. 20. Jnestorius (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) Edited since 2004, mainly Irish history and politics, also sport, pop culture. Adding Start-class articles, inserting sentences and references, occasionally something more substantial. 22. Indopug (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I work in the areas of alternative rock (where I have written 1 FA, 2 GAs and 2 FLs) and Indian political history (3 featured lists). I need JSTOR for the latter, especially for the Emergency (India) article, which I hope to get on the front page for its 40th anniversary next year. I focus on rewriting and improving articles in a range of subjects clustered around physics, electronics, horology, philosophy and history of technology. I am heavily into researching articles and have written hundreds of articles with extensive citations (see list on personal page); Negative resistance is my latest. JSTOR's library would be a good fit for me; I have often chased down promising sources to JSTOR only to be stymied by lack of access. I have seven Good Articles to my credit (with three more presently pending). I have written about two dozen university professors and presidents in the past (including four GAs), and plan to return to the subject area in 2015, hopefully to promote one university president article to Feature Article status, and improve another half dozen to Good Articles. 63. Zigzig20s (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I have been editing Wikipedia for years, creating many articles and adding in-line references to many more. I would find Jstor very useful to expand and add in-line referenced info to articles about antebellum plantations, Jewish history (synagogues, prominent rabbis, etc.), historic buildings, the ancien regime, gay history, the fact-based history of Monaco, etc. I have mostly been using Google searches and Google Books so far, but I find that too limiting for many articles that I work on. I am used to reading academic articles due to my postgraduate training, so I would be able to focus on the salient points and cite them properly. Thank you.Zigzig20s (talk) 08:46, 12 January 2015 (UTC) Approved[reply]
  64. ssriram_mt (talk · contribs) I have around 65k edits and actively contribute in topics related to India and Hinduism. I don't have library or other access to JSTOR. Please provide access to me. Thanks a lot in advance.Ssriram mt (talk) 17:56, 26 December 2014 (UTC) Approved[reply]
  65. Salvador_alc (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I'm editor in Spanish Wikipedia since 2006, where I have ~8100 edits. I struggle with referencing articles about world religions and philosophy, due that neutral and reliable online-references in Spanish are scarce. So, I need extra sources to do it. During last 2 years I've had a Questia account and I'm asking for a new one this year, I hope that's not a problem. Regards! Salvador alc (talk) 23:34, 18 January 2015 (UTC) Approved[reply]
