[edit] Swords
good luck with them. But please try to find a secondary reference--some of the books on the legends involved should discuss them.DGG (talk) 03:08, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Opera of Operas
I wanted to note that I performed this because The Tragedy of Tragedies page now contains the information and it is a mistake to connect Opera of Operas with the original version (Tom Thumb) and not the later expanded version (Tragedy of Tragedies). I used part of your sentence and expanded on it with dates and the rest here. I hope this makes sense. Ottava Rima (talk) 20:46, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Franceville
I am trying to track down the constitution of Franceville to verify claims about it being the first independent state with universal suffrage. You seem to be the source of most of the Franceville information. Do you know where a copy of the constitution might be? Lalli999 (talk) 22:35, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply. I am heading the WPHC archives next month, in part to try to track down more on Franceville. Am anglophone so am struggling on the French documents side. In one of your early edits of the Franceville info on the Vanuatu history page you said that Franceville had been granted a charter of independence by France. I don't suppose you have a source for this? Lalli999 (talk) 04:59, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Regicides of Charles I
I noticed that you edited List of regicides of Charles I. You might be interested to know that I am working through a list of article with copy left problems (see User:Philip Baird Shearer/BCWs copyright issues). In most cases if I can find an entry in User:Magnus Manske/Dictionary of National Biography (source) I am using that to re-populate the article but we also have a OCR version of the full article on Wikisource that can be copied (copyright expired) to create a full article as has been done for example George Fleetwood (regicide) see Dictionary of National Biography, Volume 19 Page 271 (Fleetwood) or in the case of Isaac Ewer there is a full version checked on Wikisource:Ewer, Isaac (DNB00) that was used as the source.
Before I discovered this rich source of information, I found another source for the Regicides, and although it is biased against them and uses "f" for "s" it is useful as a source "The lives of the English regicides: and other commissioners of the pretended High court of justice, appointed to sit in judgement upon their sovereign, King Charles the First" Volume II, by Mark Noble (1798), page 301-305 for Robert Wallop.
Any help you could provide filling in the dots would be appreciated. -- PBS (talk) 09:40, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
[edit] List of countries by statehood
Same as List of countries in chronological order of achieving statehood, you should remove all the extinct states from the articles, only keep the existing ones. 207.233.71.179 (talk) 16:21, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
- Good idea. As a couple other users have suggested, the "extinct" states should be moved to List of former sovereign states. Goustien (talk) 03:02, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
- I had fixed half of it. Could you check it to see whether they are relevant or not. A lot of countries, I don't know much about their history so I just the contents that are already there. There are many that appear more than once (such as Bulgaria, Vietnam, Georgia), I merge them all together so that they only appear once. Please check them. Thank. And you could continue to do the rest or I'll do it. Qajar (talk) 23:32, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
[edit] Map of Gondor
Hi -- I removed the map of Gondor you added to Gondor. It looks like a fair amount of original research and guesswork. I would be a lot happier if it came with any discussion of its sources. -- Elphion (talk) 05:17, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
- I can't vouch for it. According to the description for Wikimedia commons:File:Map of gondor.jpg, it is the original creation of User:Kerdiven. Goustien (talk) 05:32, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
[edit] Middle Earth Places.
There is already a middle earth place template. Please use this instead of the fictional country one. Please see Gondor for an example. Carl Sixsmith (talk) 07:11, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
-
- Hello again :-) The country box does allow flags, but to my knowledge there are no original flags out there, therefore any flag added would only be either o/r fan cruft or taken from an adaptation; and as per WP:ME consensus we try to avoid specific adaptation related material exception for the adaptation section. (for example loads of movie fan boys would have us think that frodo looks like Elijah Wood). Carl Sixsmith (talk) 07:42, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
-
- Hmm, I wonder how much trouble it would be to alter the ME-place template. Carl Sixsmith (talk) 11:24, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
- Hello. In this discussion at WikiProject Middle-earth it was decided that we don't want too much in-universe facts in infoboxes on ME articles, so let's better represent the flags and coats of arms in the article proper. De728631 (talk) 12:22, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Hello, this is just to let you know that I have granted you the "autopatrolled" permission. This won't affect your editing, it just automatically marks any page you create as patrolled, benefiting new page patrollers. Please remember:
- This permission does not give you any special status or authority
- Submission of inappropriate material may lead to its removal
- You may wish to display the {{Autopatrolled}} top icon and/or the {{User wikipedia/autopatrolled}} userbox on your user page
- If, for any reason, you decide you do not want the permission, let me know and I can remove it
- If you have any questions about the permission, don't hesitate to ask. Otherwise, happy editing! Acalamari 21:48, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
[edit] Wrangel Island known to Chukchi
Not to knock A Dream in Polar Fog (of which I've only read parts) but it as a historical novel, not a work of history and so probably should not qualify as a source. Also its setting is after the 19th century landings and contemporaneous with or after Bartlet and Kakatovik's ice crossing. Incidentally, Bartlet records that Kakatovik was very aware of a tradition among his people of enmity with the coastal Chukchi, perhaps a further bit of evidence for Krauss's argument. [edit] co-directions on director templates
From what i've seen co-directed films are not added to templates.--TheMovieBuff (talk) 18:21, 22 October 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Disambiguation link notification
Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi there. I'm curious why you made this edit. 28bytes (talk) 05:30, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
- Already in subcategory Category:Lists of fictional birds. Likewise for List of historical and fictional birds and List of fictional penguins. Goustien (talk) 06:03, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
