The Indian National Football League (NFL) was a football league system in India run by the All India Football Federation.

The NFL had 3 divisions - the Premier Division (created in the 1996/1997 season), the Second Division (created in the 1997/1998 season), and the newly created Third Division (created in the 2006/2007 season). Each year, two teams were relegated and replaced by promoted teams.

The 2006/2007 season will be the last year for the ONGC National Football League. The inaugaral Pro League will start in September of 2007 to replace the NFL. The new Pro League will be called the I League, following other Asian nation in the naming of their football leagues such as the J League in Japan, the K League in Korea, and the A League in Australia.
