Telugu cinema, consisting primarily of movies in the Telugu language in the Indian states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the largest movie production centers in India. In 1977, the film Daana Veera Soora Karna starred, produced and directed by N.T. Ramarao become the first film to collect one crore. The 1992 film Gharana Mogudu, directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, is the first Telugu film to gross over ₹ 10 crore at the box office[1]. In 2002 the film Indra became the first Telugu film to collect 25cr share.[2]
