Please change:
: "catapulting {{red|gender}} Tex Mex into the mainstream market"
into:
:"catapulting the {{green|<nowiki>[[Tejano music|Tejano]] (or ''Tex-Mex'')</nowiki> '''genre'''}} into the mainstream market"
This is a mistranslation that was introduced two months ago (''genre'' and ''gender'' are the same word in Spanish).

It is also clearer to use the term Tejano and keep Tex-Mex in parenthesis since the intro has already used the term Tejano.

Cherokee

I saw a couple of people say that Abraham Quintanilla denied that Marcella had Cherokee ancestry, although she was born on a reservation, he says that she’s Mexican American. It’s obviously Selena and her family is of Native American decent, judging from their brown complexion, eye shape, nose, etc. most Mexicans are Mestizo, but I could tell that Selena is more Indigenous than Spanish (making her indo-mestiza) it’s also rumored that she’s of Tiwa / Tigua Native American decent SelenaQueentanilla (talk) 20:05, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The sentence is misleading and doesn’t reflect the information in the referenced article.

Change this: , while her posthumous collaboration with MAC cosmetics became the best-selling celebrity collection in cosmetics history.[3] To this; , while her posthumous collaboration with MAC cosmetics became their best-selling celebrity collection.[3] Kerstinxoxo (talk) 07:31, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please change:

"catapulting gender Tex Mex into the mainstream market"

into:

"catapulting the [[Tejano music|Tejano]] (or ''Tex-Mex'') genre into the mainstream market"

This is a mistranslation that was introduced two months ago (genre and gender are the same word in Spanish).

It is also clearer to use the term Tejano and keep Tex-Mex in parenthesis since the intro has already used the term Tejano.
