The 2018 Nevada gubernatorial election will take place on November 6, 2018, to elect the next Governor of Nevada. The incumbent Governor, Republican Brian Sandoval, is not eligible to run for reelection due to term limits established by the Nevada Constitution. Nevada is one of eight states that prohibits its Governors from serving more than two consecutive terms for life.
The candidate filing deadline was March 16, 2018 and the primary election was held on June 12, 2018.[1] The Republican nominee is Adam Laxalt and the Democratic nominee is Steve Sisolak.
