Disputed non-free use rationale for File:The Circle UK flats.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:The Circle UK flats.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Unaired RC for Survivor S39E07

[edit]

Hi, this is IAmNothing712, admin of Survivor Wiki and handler of the Wiki's Twitter account. I won't say this anywhere else but here. I had a brief conversation with a cast member through Twitter regarding the unaired reward challenge. There are screenshots (link deleted because it has served its purpose). About The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star

[edit]

Thank you, repeated 7 times.

I noticed that you requested a GAN for the article. I am quite hesitant about my work—i'm hesitant to publish such major changes to an article. I hope that's an attitude I will be able to improve in the future.

Wish both of us luck. I'll tag along with the GAN process. | abequinnfourteen 02:22, 26 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you are ever hesitant in the future, always go to the talk page and ping a frequent editor of the page. Honestly, doing these types of edits on backgrounds and like the development process is needed for articles like this one.
I requested the GAN, and it might be a strech, but I hope it will be upgraded to GA. Jayab314 02:27, 26 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve All the Freckles in the World

[edit]

Hello, Jayab314,

Thank you for creating All the Freckles in the World.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Nice work, but the plot is on the longer side for a plot section on a single film, especially since it is more than the rest of the article put together

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Kingsif}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Wie is de Mol season 8 article

[edit]

Hi! I saw that you deleted Wie is de Mol? (Dutch season 8) recently.

I'm Dutch myself and I love Wie is de Mol. I want to document all the seasons of the show including future ones. You have done a great job on the season 8 article, and it would be such a waste to delete it, so I got the page restored. About it being irrelevant, I don't think so, since there are many other Dutch television shows with their seasons documented on Wikipedia (The Voice of Holland, Expeditie Robinson, Big Brother (Dutch TV series), etc.).

Please do not delete it again; it's a great article, I don't think it's irrelevant at all, and I'd like to document the entire series. - TheThomanski (talk) 16:13, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I saw that you have season 10 in one of your sandboxes. Is it okay if I (or you) published it? Thanks! - TheThomanski (talk) 16:16, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@TheThomanski: I deleted the original season 8 article because, when I first created it, I was pretty new to Wikipedia and didn't know what I was doing. The article does not use Template:Episode list (which would be better for the list of assignments), nor does it meet WP:MOSTV guidelines (see Background and production, Themes and analysis, Release, or Reception). Also there are not many publications or any type of source that I could find where it talk anything about season 8 of Wie is de Mol?. Adding on the fact that I have since become disinterested in the show, I decided to delete the article. You can certainly edit the current season 8 article to meet these guidelines and I will give you full permission to edit my sandbox for the season 10 article as well. If you need any help on figuring out how to make it meet the guidelines, you can always ask me here, but I do not plan on working on the Wie is de Mol? articles anymore. Recent edit & edit-summary

[edit]

This edit to 2020 coronavirus pandemic in Virginia says that numbers greater than seventy/70 should be expressed in text? I'm sure you're probably right but MOS:NUMERAL states that:

Integers greater than nine expressible in one or two words may be expressed either in numerals or in words (16 or sixteen, 84 or eighty-four, 200 or two hundred). When written as words, numbers from 21 to 99 are hyphenated (including when part of a larger number): fifty-six or fifty-six thousand but five hundred or five thousand.

There's probably some MOS guideline I'm not aware of, if you wouldn't mind posting that here, I want to know. Love learning new things around WP. Cheers, Shearonink (talk) 17:26, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Shearonink: I have no idea why I said 70, but Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Numbers states that Integers greater than nine expressible in one or two words may be expressed either in numerals or in words. With the number 3645 right next to it, it makes sense to state it as "3645 confirmed cases and 75 deaths" instead of "3645 confirmed cases and seventy-five deaths".
Generally, I like to write numbers written out, but having two numbers like this in a sentence, with one being greater than one thousand, it makes sense to keep them both numerical. Jayab314 17:41, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Personal preference then. That's cool and I don't mind one way or the other very much - both being numbers makes sense. Heh, there are so many rules/guidelines around here I thought I had missed one. Which does happen occasionally - Shearonink (talk) 17:58, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Use of “Official website” in medical infoboxes

[edit]

Hi, I noticed your revert of my edit to COVID-19 pandemic in Virginia. So far, I’ve had three editors agree with me on changing the wording. I didn’t realize at first that there was a template specifically for disease outbreaks, so now I’m discussing it on the template’s talk page. I’m mostly a medical contributor to Wikipedia, and I take issue with the term “Official website” being used to refer to an outbreak itself, rather than a government response. So, I’m inviting you to join the discussion. I won’t revert your revert. — Tartan357  (Talk) 12:29, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Jayab314 great work on Love Island (American season 1) and Big Brother 21 (American season)! I noticed the GA nom for BB21 failed recently but no big deal! I currently have the first 116 references cleaned up but I have to take periodic breaks because Wayback Machine times me out after so many searches. ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:51, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
