[edit]Pulilan, Bulacan and Angeles City are the only places in the Philippines where electronic or Bingo Tronics do exist or played, hence the notability of these most advanced and rare Bingo games. They are not online or internet games, but a player fights not people but the machines. It is cheaper since for only P2 one can start the game. [edit]Thanks for the message. I personally took picture of the Philippines rarest icon. I interviewed the owner and neighbors, and even saw a wall sculpture on the history of this Icon. Centuries ago, the boatmen and the natives were saved from drowning, due to the miracle consisting of the cloth or shroud that did patch the hole in the banca. The image appeared and the photo I took is the ancient image, akin to the story of Our Lady of Guadalupe. I put 3 images in the gallery, since, the image is very precious, and they say that many cameras failed to take photo of the icon, hence, I put the 3 images. Unrotated, I think the Commons machine will rotate it. Apology for any mistake I made in typing or uploading. But I certify that the photo is original from my own Sony camera, unedited and raw. Please fell free to correct my work. Cheers.--Ramon FVelasquez (talk) 09:18, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

- I think it's better if you could make a section for past and present provincial capitol buildings for the province. Just a suggestion. Or if you could make collapsible section for your photos (just what I did in your edit on article Central Luzon State University) about the province. I've checked some of your photos, and it's great. --Wakowako (talk) 09:25, 11 October 2012 (UTC)

Rejoinder
[edit]As new editor, I recently learned how to put my images from Blue Mask and administrator Saibo, Baler, Aurora. So, I did the gallery method. Yours, on collapse is also on par if not better. But I would prefer the gallery method. Why? Here in Philippines, students and even professionals rarely know PC or internet, hence, if you open the article and see the images, forthwith, it is more inviting, unless you are an IT expert who can easily click the show on collapse. At any rate, Wikipedia is a continuing edit thing. And I would rather have you or other editors edit my work. As you notice, I rarely and I do not like to edit Wikipedia but only to edit or input images, for photography is my like. Thanks also for your noticing my hard earned images. I take photos of cultural and heritage sites, and I do not like any person or any animal in the photo, and I like the sun to shine in my images. But more often I take photos on bad weather, moving vehicles and at dusk or dawn. But Nikon has the capability to present my photos to the world. As Our Secretary of Tourism, said, there is more fun in the Philippines. Cheers. Notes: [1](cur | prev) 07:26, 27 December 2011 Bluemask (talk | contribs) . . (12,864 bytes) (-865) . . 2 Seats of Government, Nueva Ecija
[edit]Done II: Thanks for the message. I personally went to Nueva Ecija, Palayan City and Cabanatuan City. I checked and verified that the Provincial Government led by the Governor still holds office at the old Provincial Capitol at Cabanatuan City. This is very rare, since the new Capitol building is already at Palayan City. That is a political fact. I surmise that the political climate and forthcoming election on May, 2013 prevented the Governor of his officers to leave the Old capitol. Hence, as you suggested I created a sub-section on the Politics section of the article. Cheers.--Ramon FVelasquez (talk) 11:59, 11 October 2012 (UTC) [3]

Great work all your many photos! I really appreciate your efforts, and many more towns in Luzon could use a photo. But please don't over do it, not every image needs to be added to the articles, that's why we have Commons (WP:IG). Regards, P 1 9 9 ✉ 15:25, 6 November 2012 (UTC) |
A cheeseburger for you!
[edit]Hello, thanks for the star you bestowed upon me. I wish I could meet you someday.
Let me clarify on my edits, with all due respect: a) I am only into photography, and I don't desire to expand articles; b) however, Wikipedia rules vis-a-vis good articles, must have proportional number of images to the number of paragraphs with links; c) as you notice, I never complained nor revert any edits of my images inserted, since I state that Wikipedia is a continuous edit thing; I have no monopoly of my edit or the article; in face best articles are edited by more that 1,000 edits by editors; d) here in Philippines, it is so stressful to expand articles just to put in my images in proportion, as you duly noted; d) but most of the times, the server and internet here are so slow; e) rest assured that if pc gets fast and I would have no stressful times, I will try to expand the articles that I inserted the images. As pattern I desire to emulate Valenzuela, Philippines or any other better Philippine town article. I greatly appreciate your creating categories for my images. As you notice, I only put 1 category, since, the computer is so slow and if the images fail to upload, I would need about 5 hours just for 7 images. Finally, I desire to finish Bulacan, Nueva Ecija and Aurora, inter alia. I deeply understand that many images are bad for a short paragraph or sentence of an article. But, but and but, for example, a town must have at least 4 images of a heritage town hall, 4 or 5 for a church, and at least 1 for the major points like heritage schools, banks, etc. Cheers.--Ramon FVelasquez (talk) 07:15, 7 November 2012 (UTC) |
- Thanks for the burger! Like you, I like to add images to articles (and expand them if I'm interested in the topic). Nice to see that you have the right attitude towards the constant editing here on WP. I will continue to help out categorizing your images on Commons and reformat the images in the articles if needed. Keep up your efforts! -- P 1 9 9 ✉ 13:38, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

- Dearest User talk:P199 and User:Earth100: Actually, it is my image Duman (rice green pinipig desert of Tarlac, but I am waiting for the December 1, 2012 really expensive Duman of Santa Rita, Pampanga) than the common cheeseburger. Duman only blooms in December. The Santa Rita Duman festival starts at 5 p.m.; If you notice, I used Sony 2008 high end camera, but the flash broke out, so I got the only Nikon Coolpix AW100 (underwater 33 feet below water camera just released last August 2012). While it is inferior to Nikon advanced 10,000 dollars cameras, it is the only camera in the world that can shoot in the full rain and water. In photography, it is my obsession to take pictures of Icons of Saints. Tersely, my stint here in Commons and Wikipedia is summed up in a movie: Suddenly It's Magic - Erich Gonzales emotionally told Mario Maurer that all "Philippine towns have a Church in the center". Her icon is in my heart. I desire that the Icon of Blessed Virgin Mary be felt and seen by the Digital world amid by traumatic failure to enthrone her in the Supreme Court of the Philippines. She is the Morning Star that makes/defines my existence photography. For this reason, on 8 - 8 - 08, 12:09 a.m. I was bestowed the most beautiful image, ever, in the universe, my Username profile photo, the Blue Army Leader, I, myself. I would like to thank you for viewing my works. If you take time to examine my photos of Bulacan, Nueva Ecija and Aurora town provinces, especially the most remote and depressed but scenic barangays, each of them will tell you why you should go into the Philippines' fun areas. The center of each of them is the Icon in the Churches. Shooting the Icon, in the middle of the Churches, is the most ecstatic/defining moment of Wikipedia/Commons photography. I write in Coded messages and Revelation of the deepest secrets of the Universe embedded in my ultimate photos. It is so stressful, though, to balance the images vis-a-vis verifiable links, references, format of Wikipedia, Copyright Laws, and the wordings of the sources lest they be not deleted, so that the images would balance with the articles' paragraphs. It is stressful, i repeat, for I work 8 hours to edit and expand an article, even if I only use 2 hours to take photos of a town like Apalit, Pampanga. I desire that Valenzuela, Philippines (with tons of references to balance images and parts of the article, would be achieved by my town articles' images and paragraphs. IN FINE, I dare say that if you view my remote town photos, you would be there, just 1 inch shorter than touching the entire place, location and magic scenery. Cheers and Peace with serenity! (I am here in Bulacan, if you come closer, sit beside me before I press the shutter, at midnight, and you will see the exploding Light vis-a-vis the Nikon flash!--Ramon FVelasquez (talk) 06:27, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for your time. Actually, I was under stress for having uploaded the 400 years old images of this great Church in Philippine history. I forgot to just put the red and created the article. Instead I read the Wikipedia rules and clicked the Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Santiago Apostol Parish Church, only to remember that I should have forthwith created the article. Hence, please help me delete Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Santiago Apostol Parish Church for it now moot and academic in view of the Santiago Apostol Parish Church. One final point. If you examine the bell tower images. I had a great fear of the heights, I climbed the bellfry tower, and when I looked down, amid the almost destroyed wooden stairs, I got so afraid, but the images are priceless, for if you examine the links I put there, the scholars never attempted to climb the bell tower to shoot the bells, made in 1891. I touched them for thee. Be there 1 inch apart, even if you're in Hong Kong. Betis Church, this article, is a story of painting, the one of a kind furniture wood carving and simply amazing. It is sad that photographers here in Philippines overlooked these bells due to fear of climbing and with my Nikon AW100, Wikipedia has for now, these National Cultural Treasures. Copyright violations
[edit]Hi Ramon, I noticed that in many instances you directly copied content from other web sites or sources into articles. This is copyright violation and against fundamental WP policy!!! You have to completely rewrite it in your own words and add the references. As a friendly warning, stop copying directly from other sources. You may run the risk of being blocked from WP if other Wikipedians find out (see WP:CCI). -- P 1 9 9 ✉ 17:09, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the timely advise
- Hi P199, I thank thee for the timely advise. Before, I am just into photography, but I notice that many of all Philippine town articles are beginning stubs. My hard earned photos would not be in balance with 2 or 3 sentences. Then, I studied how to add more paragraphs. So, I opened their links but most of them are dead links. So I Google and found the live links of Town and Church websites. I noticed that most are verbatim copies of the History of the town from the websites, but just 2 paragraphs. Then, I found that editors would add templates of no links or references, so it may be challenged. I ponder, that the editors would not risk copyright violations if they put the live links and then copy verbatim. Here, in the Philippines, the landmark case of SC Justice Mariano del Castillo and Sen. Tito Sotto plagiarisms, or copyright violations, forced our SCourt to rule. It was ruled that as long as there is attribution, then, no copyright violations. There are 2 ways to follow the law: a) cite with quotes verbatim the sentences and paragraphs, with references, or b) re-write in your own words, as Wikipedia rules, as you advised, devised. Thanks, again, and next time, I would try to use my own words, for Wikipedia will not allow us to use quotations in writing Town history, etymology, etc. Cheers.--Ramon FVelasquez (talk) 12:08, 27 November 2012 (UTC)
- WP is bound by US law (because that's where it is based). So no copying. Writing a good article requires a lot of work and effort. Having written many articles myself, I know this can take a lot of time unfortunately. Regards, -- P 1 9 9 ✉ 13:58, 27 November 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks again for your thoughts. I agree that it really takes time to write a good article without just copy pasting. [Note: it is terrible here, our Internet is so slow more often, as you notice, I just upload in Commons, to later edit in Wikipedia. Regards again.--Ramon FVelasquez (talk) 15:55, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

The Taipei laborers built this Ma-Cho Temple. I am sure if you examine the pictures, even if I just used the All Weather Nikon (for it is handy, and I cannot use high end Nikon, for water photography is my main image obsession), this will be a respite from our stress-laden situations. Cathedral of St. William the Hermit-your church? what do you mean?--✯Earth100✯ (talk✉) 14:17, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
- I am a Catholic. I mean, when I took photos of this Cathedral of St. William the Hermit (the article I just created due to its notability being a Cathedral, not just a church), I could not capture a descent facade because of many electric and phone wires aside from so many garbages around that make dirty the photos. So, I opted to shoot side by side. Unlike the Ma-Cho Temple which is utterly clean and glorious aside from so strong that it withstood the 1990 great quake, the William Cathedral needs to be cleaned from mess. Trombone image
[edit]It appears the image you posted on the trombone page is that of a baritone. I would suggest you post that image on the bariton horn page. Mattdukes (talk) 02:41, 17 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for your message. I really have no expertise in music instruments. I inserted the image in good faith, since the Philippine museum officials did label the instrument as trombone. Respectfully submitted. I stand corrected. Regards.--Ramon FVelasquez (talk) 14:14, 17 January 2013 (UTC)

- I appreciate the work you've been doing on Wikipedia, but do have to remind you about copyright policies. I see that you were advised in November that you must not copy directly from other sources. However, you may not have understood that the person speaking to you was not telling you only to avoid copying into articles. You can't copy-paste content anywhere on Wikipedia or any other project (including Wikimedia Commons) that is owned by the Wikimedia Foundation. All content you place here must be in your own words except for brief, explicitly marked quotations unless you can prove that the source is public domain or compatibly licensed. I have removed all the comments you put on talk pages over the past week or so, as these are in violation of our copyright policy. Please review Wikipedia:Copy-paste and be careful to comply. This is a very important policy for us, with legal implications, and we must make sure that it is enforced. If you have questions about this policy, you are welcome to come by my talk page. Thank you. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 10:59, 24 April 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for your advise, notice and concern. I apologize for, I thought I could put into the talk page what is about the town. I asked the permission of the Mayor's Office, but I failed to ask for written note on approval to put their history on Wikipedia. Another point is that in the Philippines, here, we suffered about 3 days of slow internet. Google chrome would not open often, hence I used opera. And I suffered virus erasure of my 30 of 620 images. Hence, for the first time, I did not use any USB, but I instead put my notes on talk pages. I could have used the sandbox but, due to stress I thought and I stand corrected that I could put there in the talk page what must not be put into the main article. Best wishes and regards, I apologize for my mistake. Thanks.--Ramon FVelasquez (talk) 15:39, 24 April 2013 (UTC)

[edit]User:RioHondo, Let's toast for Judge Florentino Floro's comprehensive contributions of encyclopedic photographs from the Philippines -- Happy New Year; after more than 120,000 photos uploaded by herein User:Ramon FVelasquez, via Donation Inter Vivos or gratuitous gift of 120,000 photos owned by Judge Floro, the other 119,000 as of today, had been uploaded by another User:Judgefloro for Judge Floro, Jr., and both total of 239,000 as of today, had a condition of sole upload in Commons since Wikipedia had no Upload Wizzard and Judge Floro did bar both Users from uploading these photos in any internet site due to his philosophy which Commons shares - of privacy, security protection of the editors, users, free and no advertisement for the education and wisdom of Filipinos, tersely - for Philippine Tourism purpose, for it is so beautiful; the 239,000 photos of Judge Floro has no duplicate and will never be duplicated worldwide, for it is not mere medium or macro-photography of Town, Provinces, not skylines, not just this or that, but microscopic photos of Barangays, the very essence of the Philippines, never ever photographed in the internet; on behalf of Judge Floro, please put User:Judgefloro and User:Ramon FVelasquez on your watch-list, for Judge Floro needs your kindness and help for these 2 editors who, for free and for no gain, but were indebted morally from Judge Floro, fulfilled the Judge's mandate of painfully and religiously uploading these 239,000 photos; One last point: I message you [4] for gratitude on the barnstar of kindness and may I ask you to consult other Commons and Wikipedia editors and administrators, if Judge Florentino Floro can appoint another editor by creating a Commons Account, to Upload Judge Floro's succeeding or to be taken pictures starting this week or month, because User:Judgefloro asked Judge Floro to be on Wiki-break since this user already almost uploaded 120,000 as User:Ramon FVelasquez had and did have now a long Wiki-Break; Judge Floro has not yet responded to User:Judgefloro to take a Wikibreak unless a kind and knowledgeable Commons editor he could trust take the uploading in the place of these 2 users editors of Donated photos of Judge Floro; hoping for your kind reply and please post it in User:Judgefloro or here; Sincerely, for these 2 Users and for Judge Florentino Floro, Happy 3 Kings--112.210.139.242 (talk) 03:06, 1 January 2015 (UTC) |
- Hi there. Thanks for your message. I would love to contribute in distributing your photos in our Wikiarticles where they fit. As i have no Commons account yet, I can't say I know a lot about how Commons work. Will do my share in spreading those amazing images and putting them to good use in our Wikiarticles. Looking forward to seeing more this new year! Cheers!--RioHondo (talk) 06:22, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
