Speedy deletion nomination of Geoff Taylor (Singer)
[edit]A tag has been placed on Geoff Taylor (Singer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. MuffledThud (talk) 12:12, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
- I deleted as copyvio the article that was written on your redirect. At a glance, it does not look to me like there is any need for that redirect, but feel free to recreate it if you disagree. - 2/0 (cont.) 23:44, 8 February 2010 (UTC)

Paralympic templates
[edit]I notice you've worked on all the Olympic and Paralympic templates such as {{Infobox Country Paralympics}} and was hoping you'd be able to help with the needed changes being discussed at User talk:Andrwsc#Great Britain at the 1980 Summer Paralympics. Its nothing major, we need to add more switches to a number of templates as you did for Chinese Taipei in this edit and this one and i'm not sure exactly how the code works. Hopefully if you could add GBR to the switch i'll be able to see how to add the other nations we need to fix. Cheers - Basement12 (T.C) 10:25, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Alix Pantheres Noirs et Fleurs.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Alix Pantheres Noirs et Fleurs.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:38, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

Robert Anderson Medal of Honor Winner
[edit]Thanks for updating my very basic entry on Robert Anderson. It looks great! I was walking through Calvary Cemetary at lunch when I came across Mr. Anderson's grave maker. I was surprised to find a MOH winner buried there. When I came back from my walk I looked up Mr. Anderson on Wikipedia and found nothing so I decided to create my entry. Your entry really filled in alot of information about Mr. Anderson. Thanks

Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
[edit]SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from Nettrom (talk), SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot (talk) 15:31, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

Just wanted to say good work
[edit]I wanted to stop and say good work on tackling the peacetime recipients. You've made a lot of headway and were almost down to the Indian wars and ACW. I also wanted to let you know also that once I am done with the Spanamwar recipients (hopefully this week sometime) I am going to go through and knock out all the Marine Corps recipients. There should only be about 20 or so left. I also modified the Hall of valor and find a Grave references to act more like the Cite web template so know you can put in more parameters if known. --Kumioko (talk) 00:55, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

The article Matthew Gillick has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Staffwaterboy Critique Me 07:02, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

[edit]You really should check to make sure there's a Wiki entry to link to BEFORE you add the brackets to an article. Today (12/4/10) you rearranged the Willard entry I created and added brackets to link to US Congressman William L. Hatch. If you'd checked beforehand you'd have found there is no wiki article for him, thus we end up with needless dreaded red ink. Sector001 (talk) 23:02, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
