[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – CAF Third Round. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 16:41, 10 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Updating caps and stats

[edit]

Hey. :-)

When you update the stats in football players' infoboxes please remember that you should also update the timestamps as of when the stats are correct. This is done by updating |pcupdate= (or |club-update=) parameter when updating club appearances and goals, or |ntupdate= (or |nationalteam-update=) when updating national team appearances and goals. The easiest way to do this is to use five tildes, which automatically converts to the current time. For example |club-update=19:08, 11 January 2018 (UTC).

When you update the career statistics please remember that you should also update that timestamp as well to a time when the stats are correct. This is done by manually updating the date above or below the statistics table. By doing this we show when the stats were last updated and it prevents other editors from accidentally updating the stats again.

This is done to show other editors when the stats were last updated and prevent them from accidentally updating the stats again, and also it shows readers that it has been updated.

Please keep this in mind. Thank you. Robby.is.on (talk) 19:08, 11 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't forget to update timestamps. Robby.is.on (talk) 15:34, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Transfermarkt

[edit]

Since most of its content is user-generated, Transfermarkt is not a reliable source. Please do not cite the website in articles, as you did with Mahmoud Metwalli. Sir Sputnik (talk) 16:56, 15 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The article Moahmed Fakhri has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. 2006–07 Egyptian Super Cup moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, 2006–07 Egyptian Super Cup, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Hussein Hegazi article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 18:06, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Egypt Cup and 2021–22 Al Ahly SC season. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 17:52, 22 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Mohamed Dhaoui moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Mohamed Dhaoui, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) WP:NFOOTY is no longer a valid SNG, so GNG must be met. It needs several refs from independent, reliable, secondary sources to pass WP:GNG. It should have at least 3 of those. Please remember that routine sports coverage does not satisfy GNG, and that interviews, being primary sources, do not go to notability either. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
