Help regarding the list of wikipedians by number of edits

Hi Snowolf, I am an undergraduate student currently doing a project on Wikipedia for my public sector economics module. Would you happen to know how the list of wikipedians by number of edits[1] is collated? Currently, does it still allow Wikipedians to remain out of the list? Thanks very much for your help!Jacolin (talk) 08:00, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Weekly Episodes 46 and 47

Hey, Snowolf. I see that you are retired but may still edit, so I'm dropping off this notice. If you'd rather not receive these anymore, just remove yourself from the list or let me know and I'll do it. I'm sorry to see you go, but I understand you have a good reason. WODUP 03:31, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just a quick note: Wikipedia Weekly Episodes 46 and 47 are out. A good listen as always. :) Cheers, WODUP 03:31, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Missed

I understand, respect, and agree with your reasons for leaving, but do want to express that you will be missed as a valuable member of the community. MBisanz talk 19:32, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I will second that. I have been a fan of your work since I started editing back in January 2007, and we have shared some moments together, most notably the time when I rescued you from a persistant vandal attack when you accidentally blocked yourself instead of the person targeting you... ;-) You've been really helpful on Wikipedia, and everybody will miss you; enjoy what you go on to do next. Thankyou, Lradrama 18:29, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

help with Gerald Guterman?

Dear Snowolf, could you kindly assist with Gerald Guterman? The user NetHistoryBuff5 seems personally invested in seeing a saccharine bio, not a WP article. He or she has ignored all requests to clarify his/her relationship to Guterman, but has no other WP interests. Strongly smells of COI. Also, I edited the piece to include ALL of NHB5's additions, but NHB5 just kills them every day, opting for the shorter and sweeter version. Other editors have added citations from the NYTimes and a noted economist, but NHB5 calls them "slanderous." S/he refuses to make individual edits, prefering instead to just revert back to the short and safe piece s/he likes best. 3RR has become 10RR. I don't know what to do. Please help. Smilo Don (talk) 03:30, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Retired?

Hello, Snowolf. It's kind of sad to see that you're retired on your userpage, but from the edits you have made a little recently, wouldn't that make you semi-retired? To me, I think that users with the {{retired}} tag on their page have stopped editing permanently. SchfiftyThree 02:29, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am retired. The use of the tag pertains to each user individual view, and a couple of edits don't change my retired state. I am in a self imposed retirement from editing, a couple of comments here and there are, in my view, don't change my editing state. Yours sincerely, Snowolf How can I help? 22:52, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

People ganging up to disrupt an article

Hi,

I found you at Wikipedia:Editor assistance. If you can spare a few minutes of your time helping out at Indo-Aryan loanwords in Tamil, I would be thankful.

I am developing an article on words borrowed by Tamil from Indo-Aryan languages. I am citing a standard authoritative lexicon from which I find the words that are borrowed before including them at Indo-Aryan loanwords in Tamil. There are a few people who seem to be intent in damaging the article by adding "cite" tags, "disputed" and "dubious" tags for the article and threatening to delete it within 24 hours.

Could you please help?

Thanks. Kris (talk) 19:01, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
