Philippine TV vandal on YouTube

I've just found out that the Phil. TV Vandal is now on YouTube. His username is danielle5597. User:Supergabbyshoe

Hey WayKurat

I never edited the pages again after you undid it. Nor any other Filipino actor/movie/etc. Sorry about that. Its just sad that Filipinos don't have their photos on Wiki. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kit the Kat (talkcontribs) 12:20, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you have stopped, but you continued to upload copyrighted material on other pages in Wikipedia. If you want to add images to Wikipedia, make sure that it is clear of copyright claims. Please read WP:COPYRIGHT for more details. -WayKurat (talk) 12:24, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

quick question

Can I add pics of screenshots that I took by myself from films? I want my favorite shows/characters to have their own photos. Please advise. Thanks. --Kit the Kat (talk) 08:28, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Screenshots can fall under fair use category per Wikipedia:NFCI#Images. Please note that there ARE limitations in using these images. Please read Unacceptable use section of the Non-free content policy for more details. -WayKurat (talk) 09:24, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am not fully understanding it. Is it ok for me to submit promotional posters of movies/characters even if they are copyrighted? It says so in the Wikipedia:NFCI#Images section. Unless I misunderstood? Please let me know. I am not going to replace pages with photos, just those that don't have one yet. I'm kind of new to this editing thing and I need your help if that's ok. i don't want to break copyright rules and so on. --Kit the Kat (talk) 01:15, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Copyrighted images such as screenshots, posters, etc. can be used but it has limitations such as, it should be uploaded in lower resolution to prevent it to be reproduced, it should be only used in one article, it cannot be used for templates and infoboxes, and it can only be used for a specific subject. An example of this is you can upload a screenshot or a poster of the movie "'Till I Met You" and use it in the movie's article but you cannot use it as a profile picture of Regine Velasquez or Robin Padilla. Free images such as a photo of an artist you took yourself are being encouraged more than uploading copyrighted images to depict the artist (see the uploaded image in the Juris Fernandez article for the example).

Also, as I as a reminder, you cannot just grab images from the internet and upload it here. The proper procedure for that is you have to get permission from the owner of that image (an e-mail or any confirmation from the owner) and agreed that his image can be used in Wikipedia via CC-BY-SA 3.0 License. -WayKurat (talk) 02:26, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I think I get it now. I will upload an image to a page when I have time and see if it is accepted. Thanks for your time! --Kit the Kat (talk) 03:45, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again, WayKurat! I have uploaded a few promo pics to an article. Please check if they are ok and can be accepted. As I have said, I am just a beginner at this and do not fully understand the policies. If they are wrong, then please feel free to remove them and let me know. I followed other articles that has promo pics for their characters. Some took them from the show's official websites, so I did that as well. I completed the descriptions and received no complaints from the admin like what happened last time, so I guess they are fine. But just to be sure, please let me know if they are ok. I'd rather hear it from you first rather than from an obsessed fan of the show who just doesn't want their edits to be changed (you know there are some of those around here lol). Its on the List of The Sword of Truth characters. Thanks! --Kit the Kat (talk) 07:14, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The pictures that you have added can cause problems since you have added them in a "List of..." characters. As per WP:OVERUSE, As little non-free content as possible is used in an article. Short rather than long video and audio excerpts are used. Multiple items are not used if one will suffice; one is used only if necessary.. Adding the images on the character's article (if it exists) can be acceptable for time to time. An example is the List of characters in The Simpsons article, you can see there that it only included one non-free image and not individual images of every character. But there is an existing image of Homer Simpson and Bart Simpson on their individual articles.
Based on my experience, I have done the same thing (adding non-free images) previously on the Banknotes of the Philippine peso article, adding a set of images of the New Generation series. It was removed immediately by one of the admins citing WP:OVERUSE. -WayKurat (talk) 11:34, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Again, thanks for the advice. I tried to place the pics on their respective individual articles, but they don't have any. Everytime I click their names, it appears on that page. I placed those photos a few days ago, and they have not yet been removed by an admin. Maybe its because, thay don't have individual pages. I'll just keep it there until they do get removed. Thanks again. --Kit the Kat (talk) 17:37, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non-Free rationale for File:Reporter's notebook gma.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Reporter's notebook gma.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under Non-Free content criteria but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a Non-Free rationale.

If you have uploaded other Non-Free media, consider checking that you have specified the Non-Free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. All Filipino Cup

Ser,

During the 1970s/1980s, for the record, the PBA dont used the Word "Cup", commentators nor sportswriters never called it All-Filipino Cup, its "Conference", try to be realistic and sensitive in giving infos, like it is during those days, Crispa and Toyota fans are reading this and they deserve a reliable source in PBA history, in the 1990s, particularly 1993-onwards, it's understandable the word "Cup" can be used now in the All-Filipino because of the change of tournament name.Edmon74 02:38, 2 July 2011 (UTC)

No Vandalism here

I never did vandalism on any pages of Wikipedia. I was just improving it, and the last time that I visit Studio 23's page, i found out that the info about it is false, no reliable source (the BBC thing) so I decided to delete those info and improve the page. So if you are thinking that I am vandalizing, your false because I am not. Si if you may, i'll have it changed, well you do not own the page.

Blaming me as sockpuppet?

Hello waykurat, please remove your tag on me about the sockpuppet? I'm contributing Christianity or Protestant-related articles, swear on God, not to vandalize of those.. thank you --ElmersGlue2011 (talk) 23:07, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I know that you've tried to make a contribution about those things, but please don't blame to WayKurat, he was only doing the right thing, and maybe, he didn't know about it. So please leave WayKurat alone? Hamham31 (talk) 03:01, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's not just "blame", all I need is to remove WayKurat's tag on me of being suckpuppet of a very strange user. If he wants some evidence, he may look ony my contributions so what's the matter with that? of being having multiple account to edit Christ's Commission Fellowship, Jesus Is Lord Church, Bread of Life Ministries International, Victory Christian Fellowship, and other Filipino protestant churches and Christian articles? All of my contribution is not to promote any of those especially CCF (I'm a member of that) and Bread of Life (by the way my sister's church), I just want to fix some article into a good tone of sentence and explained briefly. SO sorry to say Hamham, but I sholud have an online talk with Waykurat for "sockpuppet" matter and to fix it as soon as he could, and I can prove the truth. Have a blessed day! thank you --ElmersGlue2011 (talk) 06:44, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

ABS-CBN one year Tag

Hello! I just observed why abs-cbn is the only tag message in the Philippines. Why the other Philippine network like GMA Network and TV5 is also no tag, as well as no program reference of the said networks but why ABS-CBN. And other thing is not a blog site reference but came from the program TV show from the ABS-CBN website itself. So I just moved to current reference of present ABS-CBN show to know it. End of quote And one more thing, No official announcement for franchised of The Voice (Philippines) (A reality signing search of Endemol) for both ABS-CBN and Endemol. But X-Factor Philippines from FremantelMedia will air first next year. Only Pinoy Big Brother will air first which also from Endemol. Puppyph (Puppyph) 14:50, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

ABS-CBN Dramas Removed Number of Episode tags

Hello! I was observed that you removed the number of episodes of the said TV shows mostly from ABS-CBN dramas. It is important to know the actual duration of the said show with actual episode counts after the end of the program which is counted in any drama or any TV shows which based on the US TV shows/series with complete details. Except some IP user allegedly vandalized advance episodes which is not air yet which is prohibited from the network itself(But I was surprised and shock). Instead edit for the last week/days episode a week ago and not the advance one! An honestly there no rule or law that prohibit to put the No. of episode. Puppyph (talk) 04:08, 28 November 2011

I have removed the number of episodes section in the infobox templates for all Philippine primetime shows because some anon keeps on using "future" dates. The anon frequently edits any show from ABS-CBN, GMA Network and TV5, and he/she adds the episode count usually one month ahead. This vandal has been editing here in Wikipedia since last year, and after several warnings, that guy just ignores them. If you can commit that you can maintain the number of episodes that ACTUALLY aired, and you will not use future dates, the templates can stay. -WayKurat (talk) 09:03, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ok I agree, I just put the actual numbers of show but for ABS-CBN shows only (No offense for the other networks) for now I put the actual episodes per show (which already broadcast on-air fresh new episodes) and not use the future dates which is prohibit from ABS-CBN itself, one for which didn't air yet! But we know who's unknown IP provider edited are honest or even as a vandal one! Thanks! Puppyph (talk) 06:15, 28 November 2011

Flint Dale

I've removed the A7 speedy deletion tag from Flint Dale, because there was a claim of importance there (being the first/youngest winner of some competition). Keep in mind that notability is not importance, and that a subject may be important while not notable. You should, however, feel free to PROD it or send it to AfD for notability.--Slon02 (talk) 04:53, 28 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I see you have edited Melisa Cantiveros. Can you please check this edit for accuracy? Thanks! --Slashme (talk) 09:01, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio?

Hi WayKurat. You tagged File:20‑presscon‑amaya.jpg as an image copyright violation, citing a URL, but when I attempt to go there I get a HTTP 404 Page Not Found error. Is that the correct URL? Reaper Eternal (talk) 13:32, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pwersa ng Pilipino

User talk:Pwersa ng Pilipino added a template to Katrina Halili that seemed to have nothing to do with Katrina Halili. Did you want to report him? Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 09:05, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Prods

Anyone may remove a Prod tag, including the article creator, for any reason or even no reason at all. By definition, prod is only for entirely uncontested deletions. Once the tag is removed, you'll need to use WP:AfD. Qwyrxian (talk) 06:13, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

CSD notification

The page Luciano Carlos looks like it may be a valid CSD, but I prefer not to delete a page unless the creator has been notified. I understand that sometimes automated tools fail to do the notification for some reason. Not sure if that was the case, but could you make the notification?SPhilbrick(Talk) 16:55, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It has now been deleted. It would still be polite to inform the editor, who may be new and not understanding what happened.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 19:01, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited 2011–12 PBA Philippine Cup Finals, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jason Castro (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to Sabrina: The Animated Series does not have an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! Elizium23 (talk) 05:49, 25 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Can you extended to block this person again to prevent further vandalism stories. Tricia Santos is a former Teen PBB Housemate. How neither abs-cbn website nor pep.ph are not post about Tricia news of alleged inclusion of Teleserye or show of abs-cbn due to her attitude problem since during PBB Teen edition days. Hey, I don't understand why you keep on deleting what I've been editing in Toni Gonzaga's information (Television and Concert). Those weren't personal analysis as to what you are suggesting. I hope before you delete something, you would at least verify it and not conclude that it's not based on facts. I am not violating any of Wikipedia's policy. Thank you very much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by IMHOJS (talkcontribs) 03:09, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

hi, can you please translate this article on Mischief Reef (in Spratly Islands /Kalayaan) to Tagalog please? There's no Filipino-language version of this article, but there needs to be one as it is part of the history of the Philippines, and something the Filipino people need to be informed of about their country. If you can please do the translation i would greatly appreciate it. thanks! - user:Nguyen1310 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nguyen1310 (talkcontribs) 23:44, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

GDC Digital Channnels

I remembered that when we visited by aunt which is a subscriber of Global Destiny Cable, I tuned in to channel 5 and I saw an announcement on how to tune in to their digital box. And I saw that they had 8 channels.

Hey WayKurat

I have a Wikia site called "PinoyTVRadio Wiki" (Formerly Philippine Television Wiki) and I made this Wikia site since Oct. 2010. Bertrand Martinez (a.k.a. Russel Liwag) starts to vandalized my Wikia site (maybe May or June last year) by putting some Us Girls hoaxes and editing my article, "Associated Broadcasting Company (TV5)". Then, I banned him but he returns again (because he's changing his IP address). Please help me!

Here's my Wikia site (in WikiActivity to see some hoaxes and my edits): [1]
Here's the example of Bertrand's hoaxes on my Wikia site: [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jason24589 (talkcontribs) 06:17, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

He doesn't want to contribute to Wikia. Instead, you may report to the VSTF. --ToluMen200 (talk) 04:14, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

PBA championships by team

I'm sorry but the 2003 Invitational is a special tournament I'm i right? so it is also NOT considered an official title like what you said about my Talk 'N Text.

The 2003 Invitational tournament is considered as a regular tournament by the PBA since this is the last year that they adopted the 3-conference format before reinstating that in 2010. The 1998 Centennial Cup however is a not a regular one. If you check out the records carefully, the team standings after the end of the elimination round of the Centennial Cup are carried over at the next tournament, the Governors' Cup. The Centennial Cup is treated as a special tournament, similar to the IBA-PBA tournament held in the late 1980's in between the All-Filipino and Reinforced Conferences. -WayKurat (talk) 12:21, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Source

I have a reliable source about GDC digital. I have read a discussion on PEX between GDC subscribers, that they had offered a digital package which includes PPV, NBA Premium, Chinese, Indian, and European channels. It costs an additional Php150 a month. And check the CATV & DTH Philippines Facebook page album about Global Destiny digital: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.268877356470242.72252.235476459810332&type=3.
