Modern pentathlon

Based on their results at the 2011 Asian/Oceania Championships three Japanese pentathletes have qualified for London; Shinichi Tomii has earnt places in the men's event; Shino Yamanaka and Narumi Kurosu have earnt places in the women's event.[6]
