The 2010/2011 season is AFC Ajax in the Dutch Eredivisie, they will participate in the tournament for the Champions Cup and playing in the Champions League. The first training of the new season took place on Sunday, 27 June 2010. The traditional AFC Ajax Open Day was held on Friday, 23 July 2010.

Pre-season

In preparation for the new season Ajax organized a trainings stage in Austria. The team of Martin Jol stayed in Stubaital from 5 July to 11 July. During this training camp friendly matches were played against Al-Ahly and Rapid Bucharest. Further practice matches were played against Ajax (amateurs), FC Horst, FC Porto, Rijnsburgse Boys and Chelsea.
