The Yinchuan–Lanzhou high-speed railway is a high-speed railway under construction in China between Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu province, and Zhongwei in Ningxia. It will be part of the Lanzhou–Zhangye intercity railway and Yinchuan–Lanzhou high-speed railway.[1] Construction started in 2017 and is expected to be completed in 2022.[2] The part between Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport and Lanzhou West is the already completed Lanzhou-Zhongchuan Airport Intercity Railway.

History

The line was built in two sections. The first section, a 207 kilometres (129 mi) stretch from Yinchuan to Lanzhou, opened on 29 December 2019.[3]
