Chandrakant Kavlekar (born 7 May 1971) also known as Chandrakant 'Babu' Kavlekar is an Indian Politician who is the current Minister of Town and Country Planning, Agriculture, Archives, Archaeology, Factories and Boilers of Goa.[1] He is a four term member[2] of the Goa Legislative Assembly. He represents the Quepem constituency.[3][4][5]

In the election for legislative assembly Babu kavleker successfully won against BJP candidate Prakash Velip and elected as MLA for fourth consecutive term.

On 11 July 2019 he left Indian National Congress and joined Bharatiya Janata Party. He is now appointed as Deputy Chief Minister on July 13, 2019.[6]
