Canada–Uruguay relations are foreign relations between Canada and Uruguay. Both countries established diplomatic relations in January 1953. Canada has an embassy in Montevideo.[1] Uruguay has an embassy in Ottawa (the ambassador being also concurrent to Iceland), 2 general consulate in Montreal and Toronto, and an honorary consulate in Vancouver.[2]

Canada and Uruguay have a Foreign Investment Protection Agreement (FIPA) which came into force in 1999; a bilateral Social Security Agreement that came into force in January 2002; and a bilateral Audiovisual Co-Production Agreement to encourage joint film productions, which came into force in October 2005.
