Makkah Masjid

The Makkah Masjid is one of the largest mosques in India, with a capacity of 10,000 worshippers. Close to Charminar, the mosque is located in the old city. It was built in 1694 by Muhammed Quli Qutb Shah. It is said to have been built with bricks made from the soil brought from Mecca, hence the name.
