I normally don't include a See Also section, portals were generally under external links. These cultural articles were in the Portal:African American, or so I thought. Until the portal was deleted by an admin after it was vandalized with hate speech. So all the articles that had the portal tag were'nt in the portal, as the tag has to be under a section called ==See Also==. So now I put the section in, and the first editor that comes along erases it and all the portals. CaptJayRuffins (talk) 21:42, 2 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback from New Page Review process

[edit]

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Thank you for this new article, though I am concerned about the "Early life and career" section. That section is not about Mr. Holmes (he is not named in the paragraph) but is instead about all black firefighters of that time. Also, most of that section has no citations. It could be characterized as original research which should be avoided at Wikipedia. I recommend revamping that section to make it more specific to Mr. Holmes and the challenges HE faced early in his career..
