Name
[edit]you've got Japanese names like Reina Tanaka and Ai Takahashi in their western form but you have these Chinese names in the traditional writing? --75.100.3.210 16:28, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, this is a problem with WP:MOS-JA --MChew 07:36, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
There was something written that she can speak fluent English. However, I'm almost positive that Junjun (Morning Musume's other chinese member) can speak English fairly well (Wouldn't say fluently), Linlin isn't much better at it then the rest of the girls. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.97.53.88 (talk) 22:17, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

Requested move 2 January 2020
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: Moved to "Qian Lin". (non-admin closure) Cwmhiraeth (talk) 13:40, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
Linlin → Lin Lin – English news sources (The Japan Times [1] and Anime Expo via Anime News Network [2]) list "Lin Lin" as the most common spelling, though I would not be opposed to moving the article to Qian Lin as the subject is no longer promoting in Japan since 2010. lullabying (talk) 23:50, 1 January 2020 (UTC) —Relisting. — Amakuru (talk) 11:02, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 21:34, 2 January 2020 (UTC)
- Should the article be moved to Qian Lin or to Lin Lin? GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 21:34, 2 January 2020 (UTC)
- @GeoffreyT2000: That's what I'm stuck on, to be honest. Subject is no longer promoting in Japan, but Japanese articles still refer to her as Lin Lin. English articles list her name as "Lin Lin." English sources mostly refer to her as that instead of Qian Lin. I'll try to look into it more. lullabying (talk) 00:26, 3 January 2020 (UTC)
- @GeoffreyT2000: After thinking about this subject maybe "Qian Lin" is best because she is no longer promoting in Japan, and her official Japanese bio did mention her real name (and it's not uncommon for Japanese news to sometimes use nicknames). lullabying (talk) 03:35, 3 January 2020 (UTC)
- Support Qian Lin She had appeared in around 10 television dramas before her move to Japan (as an example, according to her zh.wiki article, she played a male prince in the historical drama Founding Emperor of Ming Dynasty when she was ~15 — see the "cast" section of that article). Sinobball (talk) 20:42, 7 January 2020 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
