It is known for airing cartoons and anime, and also live-action shows. It is aired over analog and digital terrestrial television on UHF channel 41 in Davao, and also has its own Twitch channel.

History[edit]

Zekurü Media has founded its own broadcast arm, initially known as Buttercup Broadcasting Network or BBN and set up its own TV station at abandoned house at Shrine Hills, Matina, Davao City, which place houses radio and TV stations of various networks, to launch its own TV channel dedicated to animation. On May 5, 2022, the TV station was inaugurated and opened for business for test broadcast, and the TV channel was launched on May 9, taking inspiration from Indonesia's RTV and Australia's ABC Me but with TV commercials, also as a response to ABS-CBN shutdown and Disney Channel Asia shutdown, and the continued rise of streaming television that caused traditional TV to decline.

On June 26, 2023, BBN switched to widescreen and started broadcasting in 720p HDTV. However for digital TV boxes like ABS-CBN TV Plus, it has been downscaled to 480i/480p SDTV, while it also remains letterboxed for analog feed.

On January 15, 2024, BBN was rebranded to BTVBS to avoid confusion with another TV network that uses the abbreviation "BBN".

On May 14, BTVBS sealed partnership with Metro Manila-based media companies BIT Media and Astra Media.

On May 24, BTVBS has moved from channel 33 to 41, a channel used to relay Disney Channel Asia on terrestrial TV until about 2009. Channel 33 was vacated by BTVBS and occupied by Hydra Network.
