Discretionary sanctions alert

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

The fact was ... that after suspected coronavirus patients in Maharashtra, India, started fleeing hospitals, the government directed officials to stamp the left hand of those quarantined at home using indelible ink? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/2020 coronavirus pandemic in Maharashtra. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, 2020 coronavirus pandemic in Maharashtra), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. User:RoySmith Is this guideline only for non-English-language films? I am seeing a lot of unreleased American films with fewer references than this draft having their own articles like Samaritan (2020 film). M4DU7 (talk) 16:12, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
M4DU7, No, it's a guideline for all films. Unfortunately, it's often ignored, and the fact that we have articles about unreleased American films doesn't change the fact that we shouldn't. WP:CRYSTAL goes into some detail about this. -- RoySmith (talk) 16:17, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

JioMart moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, JioMart, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. DGG ( talk ) 11:22, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

User:DGG How many references would you like the article to have? Every fact in the article is sourced to reliable references. You also mentioned that the article is promotional in your edit summary. Can you let me know which sentences are promotional in nature? M4DU7 (talk) 16:16, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The references all apppear to be written on the basis of press releases from the company. DGG ( talk ) 20:36, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
