[Panchkula Shopper]

[edit]

Respected Sir I would request that you un delete the page Panchkula Shopper. it is a 23 year old magazine that was founded by Mr Ashwani Tuli. I create this page with natural process. If there is any un natural contant, i will work on it and make it correct Thank You

It was advertising and there was nothing in the article that stated why it was notable, nor why it was sourced. Regardless if it was created with "natural process", it's not a subject that meets our WP:GNG. RickinBaltimore (talk) 12:09, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

PNO Consultants

[edit]

This company is the largest in the sector and features in multiple press-releases, and European Commission statements as well as has significant activity into the roadmapping and policy making for the European Union. We would like to make the related page but you deleted it before we could start all the highly relevant, encyclopedia needed information. Do you mind stop unilaterally deleting it please? Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fgmartinelli (talkcontribs) 20:50, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article at the time of it's deletion had no references, other to it's own website. This was not a "unilateral deletion", but an examination of the page, and it did not appear to be notable. Also, saying "we would like to make the page" makes it sound that this account is a shared account which is explictly against Wikipedia guidelines. RickinBaltimore (talk) 20:56, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Dear RickinBaltimore. Thank you for your reply. Now i understand the misunderstanding (btw: this is my personal account, private and individual). Indeed the company is highly noteworthy, as as said its strongly involved into the defining of policy making at CONTINENTAL scale (European Union). Several references are available: 2. PNO has demonstrated track record of winning the largest and most difficult BBI grants, the so called Flagships (>20 Million EUR/grant), among others: the publicly available one BIOSKOH BBI 2015: a. http://www.bbi-europe.eu/projects/bioskoh b. http://www.pnoconsultants.com/innovation-services/projects/bioskoh 4. PNO carried out a study paid by the BIC/BBI itself to investigate synergies for BBI funding and structural funding for the bioeconomy, Combining BBI (H2020) and European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) to deploy the European bioeconomy: http://www.bbi-europe.eu/sites/default/files/documents/Guidelines_BBI-ESIF-Final.pdf 5. PNO is strongly integrated in the overall “pan-EU BioEconomy stakeholders community" as peer with proven track record of bioeconomy-relevant non-BBI assignments such as for example: a. European Commission DG GROW Biobased Products public procurement study (main contractor): http://ec.europa.eu/growth/tools-databases/newsroom/cf/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=8767 b. European Commission DG GROW Model Demonstrator Regions for sustainable chemicals production (second largest contractor): European Commission DG GROW: http://ec.europa.eu/growth/tools-databases/newsroom/cf/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=8436 c. Pan-EU bottom-up Vanguard Initiative: BioEconomy Pilot (main contractor): http://www.s3vanguardinitiative.eu/cooperations/bio-economy-interregional-cooperation-innovative-use-non-food-biomass d. Several Horizon 2020 and FP7 BioEconomy funded projects, as visible from the official EU funded project database: CORDIS: http://cordis.europa.eu/search/result_en?q=(organization/legalName%3D%27PNO%27%20OR%20organization/shortName%3D%27PNO%27)%20AND%20contenttype%3D%27project%27&searchType=advanced

Finally PNO has also a strong track record on Water, including being hired by the “European water lobby / technology platform” to build their vision: http://wsstp.eu/wp-content/uploads/sites/102/2016/07/WssTP-Water-Vision-2030_preprint-version.pdf / as well as process industry: https://www.spire2030.eu/uploads/Modules/Publications/spire-roadmap_december_2013_pbp.pdf

As said, we are talking about a company of Eu-wide relevance in terms of stimulating and influencing innovation within the fields of AGRO, Chemistry, Water and Process Industry. I hope you can now concur that the links above (that should have been added to the original page) prove the point. Could you please revert the deletion now? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fgmartinelli (talkcontribs) 13:19, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

About article

[edit]

Hello, you deleted the article on Marton Kovacs I produced. You deleted it because you said it was already once deleted in the past after discussion. I have however added several new information and sources. In addition, I have explained why the changes were significant in the talk section of Marton Kovacs. Now everything I wrote is gone. Can you explain why you have deleted everything without responding to the arguments I presented in the talk section. Also, can you please reinstate the article or send me at least the content of the article and the talk page. User: StudentMadrid (talk) 14:40, 22 February 2017 (UTC)StudentMadrid[reply]

Ali Khaliqi

(talk) hello Dear Rikin, Sorry but I wanted explain you the page Ali khaliqi that i make today and you deleted was not ads page it was belong to an great artist of carpet design and he doesn't have any benefit on that, he is quite famous in Carpet design and his name is everywhere that's why we as his ex students decide to create his page in wiki. could you please recheck or guide me how we can confirm it? thank you for advance (Kobi41 (talk) 15:03, 14 February 2017 (UTC))[reply]

The issue is that he does not meet our notability guidelines for a subject on Wikipedia. You have to show that he does through independent reliable sources that can back your claims up. RickinBaltimore (talk) 15:06, 14 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

(talk)Thank you so much ok I will do it one by one and how can I correct them without remake the same page? (Kobi41 (talk) 15:45, 14 February 2017 (UTC)).[reply]

I'd suggest working in your draft space first. If the article looks like it might be ready to go, try going through the articles for creation process, and it can be published through there. This also gives other editors the ability to look at the page and see that it's worthy of publication. RickinBaltimore (talk) 16:09, 14 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

question

[edit]

You have recently deleted a page called Dr.molrok this should have been an english version of an german wiki entry . can you please explain how i can set on a english version according to the terms ,to get the original page been recognized internationally ?! thanks (Denbenutzernamengibtesnochnicht (talk) 20:12, 15 February 2017 (UTC))[reply]

The issue with the page is that it didn't appear that he met the general notability guidelines. If you want to work on the page, I'd suggest perhaps working in your sandbox first, and try to get the page set up with the information needed to show how he is notable. RickinBaltimore (talk) 20:19, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to know why my page that was not duplicating anything was deleted MaxMischief (talk) 15:52, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The definition of duplication is exactly like something else. Exactly has synonyms which are in every aspect, in every way, too name a few. My page List Of Current Car Brands was very different from the manufacturers list. It did not have dates as the other one did, it had a more accurate list. Im just curious as to the controversial power that wikipedia seems to beleive is just when its editors don't know the definitions of words. MaxMischief (talk) 15:57, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The list however was the same as the list on List_of_automobile_manufacturers. Even with adding dates, it was the same information. This is why it was deleted via A10. RickinBaltimore (talk) 16:00, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How is Christopher Duntsch not notable?

[edit]

Can you explain why you think Christopher Duntsch is not notable? There are more than 20,000 results on google for his name and he is the subject of major investigations and lawsuits. Natureium (talk) 20:20, 16 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article originally was tagged for deletion for being an attack page, however the term "Dr. Death" is being used in the media and it appears that an attack page didn't apply. That being said, this may be something where WP:BLP1E applies, as while he is getting coverage for this trial, and specifically "If that person otherwise remains, and is likely to remain, a low-profile individual. Biographies in these cases can give undue weight to the event and conflict with neutral point of view. In such cases, it is usually better to merge the information and redirect the person's name to the event article." I think this section of WP:BLP1E would apply in this case. You're more that welcome however to go to WP:DELREV for a further consensus on the matter. RickinBaltimore (talk) 20:26, 16 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Mess

[edit]

Could you please solve the mess here? "Please" ask this "slow on the draw" editor if he Srednuas Lenoroc who created a new account or a seperate editor whose username is very similar to Srednuas Lenoroc. We have been asking the same question again and again...but he does not give a simple, clear answer. His confusing, blurred responses cause a real mess. If he keep continuing such blurred responses, instead of giving a simple, clear answer, please block him. Because this mess is really trolling the previous cases. 46.221.219.63 (talk) 09:45, 17 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

But can I ask you why Rickin? There is enough on google, google news, google images and google videos about her. She has inspired thousands of disabled India. Prominent mainstream media like Times of India (highest circulated daily in India) have also written on her. If small small villages and every individual one time local body elected politician can be there on Wikipedia, why can't somebody so inspirational and who is not even distantly related to me. Still you deleted.please reply

Again, you need to read over WP:N. I did a Google search on her, and the first hit is her personal website. There is a story about her in Times of India, but that is it. AIV decline

[edit]

Greetings, Rick: I don't believe we have interacted before. I happened to see that you had declined this report, about this user. I would not have blocked at that point either, so I have no quarrel with the outcome of the decision; but I did want to say that given that it was a) a registered account, b) an issue with promotional editing, and c) a report suggesting a spam-only account, the report being stale really does not enter into the picture, does it? A spambot is a spambot, whether an hour old or a month old. Indeed I'd be more wary of older accounts producing spam, as these receive less scrutiny; so TL:DR, declining it as "stale" was probably not the best move. Of course it's possible that you saw something there that I did not, but I thought I'd leave you a note in any case. Regards, Vanamonde (talk) 15:44, 17 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the comment! I understand what you were saying, I used the stale option because it seemed to be the best reasoning as to why I was hesitant to block the account. Re-creation of Ekopedia article (after its deletion)

The page wasn't deleted because the site was off line, it was deleted because it did not meet WP:GNG, and did not have independent reliable sources to show how it was notable. If you want to start working on it, I'd suggest start in your sandbox as a draft article, get the sources to show why it's notable and go from there. This page should not have been speedy-deleted as G4. Following the userfication by admin User:MichaelQSchmidt, User:Dr. Blofeld added a new section, with new sources, to the userfied text, then moved it back to mainspace. (MQS may not have userfied the article properly, but that problem could have by solved by a histmerge). The G4-deleted text was not substantially identical to the AFD-deleted text, and G4-deletion was therefore incorrect. Please restore the article. The Big Bad Wolfowitz (aka Hullaballoo). I see that you are working on it here Draft:Chase Johnsey (Ballet Dancer), however the draft was declined because it does not have sourcing to show why the subject is notable. If you do have a NY Times piece, you would need to add it to this article. Also, since this appears to be an article about you, I would read over WP:AUTO, as writing an autobiography is STRONGLY discouraged. RickinBaltimore (talk) 13:14, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Copy Infringement on Eco-Capitalism sandbox

Hi, So earlier today you deleted the sandbox, User:Celinanguyen/sandbox, and said it was due to copyright infringement. I believe this was a mistake on my part because I thought the sandbox was private to my group and posted a section that was only paraphrased and I was planning on going back and editing the section completely in my own words. I didn't know if there is anyway you can un-delete the sandbox or provide the edits we made back to us. Thanks Hoopesha (talk) 01:53, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

G12 Deletion of User Sandbox - Please Explain

[edit]

Re: this deletion:

20:14, 23 February 2017 RickinBaltimore (talk | contribs) deleted page User:Celinanguyen/sandbox (G12: Unambiguous copyright infringement of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eco-capitalism)

You deleted the entire sandbox of a user due to "copyright infringement." Please let me know what it was, specifically, that you found violated a copyright and why a sandbox met the criteria for speedy deletion. I would also like to know why the entire sandbox was deleted when G12 stipulates that "earlier versions without infringement should be retained" whenever possible. I appreciate your quick clarification on this since the sandbox belonged to one of my students who, alongside their classmates, are engaging with Wikipedia through the WikiEdu program. Students are tasked with working in groups to create or update an article. Explanation as to exactly why the sandbox was deleted in its entirety can better help them understand the ins and outs of Wikipedia. If, however, it is determined that the deletion of the entire sandbox page was an error, please rectify as the deletion has cost them quite a bit of lost work product, the final version of which is due to be graded next week. In other words, your deletion of the sandbox on which they were all working is equivalent to a hard drive crash a week before finals, so if anything can be recovered, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.Csloman (talk) 07:02, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright infringement of a wikipedia page? That doesn't sound right. Catfish Jim and the soapdish 13:54, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, If material is used without attribution, it violates the licensing terms under which it has been provided, which in turn violates the Reusers' rights and obligations clause of Wikipedia's copyrights policy is absolutely clear. And, as a general rule of them, better not to advise people to 'use common sense.' O Fortuna!...Imperatrix mundi. 16:03, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
While technically licensing violations are copyright violations, pages that contain unattributed text do not normally need to be deleted - in this case, shouldn't the sandbox be restored and then attributed/re-edited by the students? Given that it is a sandbox, and therefore a "work in progress", I would think they should be given a sufficient amount of time to rectify said issues. Garchy (talk) 16:28, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Absolutely. And frankly, the best course of action would have been to contact the new editor, explain the situation and walk them through the process. WP:BITE (a behavioral guideline) sums it up well. We have a new editor trying to get to grips with wp, for an academic project, and they're likely to disappear altogether as a result of this heavy-handed approach. You Deleted Draft:Dr. Sagar S Natraj page. I would like to ask you, if I am able to add a few references from local newspaper, will it be counted?

Hello, can you kindly respond? I have updated the article with references and it is still deleted, Kindly help.

The article was clearly promotional. The references did not meet our guidelines for reliable sources, and he himself doesn't appear to meet general notability guidelines. RickinBaltimore (talk) 16:19, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • A recent query shows that only 16% of administrators on the English Wikipedia have enabled two-factor authentication. If you haven't already enabled it please consider doing so.
  • Cookie blocks should be deployed to the English Wikipedia soon. This will extend the current autoblock system by setting a cookie for each block, which will then autoblock the user after they switch accounts under a new IP.
  • A bot will now automatically place a protection template on protected pages when admins forget to do so.

Deleted Sandbox

[edit]

Hi RickinBaltimore, you recently deleted my wikipedia page, which is understandable, I was curious to see how long it would last online for an art piece. However, all of my Sandbox account has been deleted? I thought Sandbox was a place intended for experimentation so why has it been taken down? Kind Regards Hayley Darbyshire (talk) 16:09, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your sandbox, while a place to work on draft pieces away from the mainspace, is still subject to Wikipedia's rules, especially those regarding web-hosting. If you're looking to do this, I'd suggest a free blogging or webhosting site instead. Also, I don't think I deleted the sandbox page, that would been Yunshui instead. RickinBaltimore (talk) 16:12, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

deleted ivory wade

[edit]

Hi RickinBaltimore, you recently deleted ivory wade page rapidly,he is one of America famous rapper.Im trying to develop Wikipedia about American rappers. many of them have Wikipedia page a few of them haven't Wikipedia page i trying for develop that. I start with ivory wade one of American famous rapper you can check reference. you should not delete it speedy.we should discuss about that (mariya_mon96 (mariya_mon96) 16:08, 20 February 2017 (UTC)).[reply]

Ivory Wade clearly does not meet Wikipedia's guidelines for a musician. For a "famous rapper" I find very, very few google hits, and none from what we consider reliable sources. RickinBaltimore (talk) 19:47, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy close of ROC Maestro

[edit]

Note that the author did blank the article, but he very soon after set up a copy at User:Erics101/sandbox/ROC Maestro and submitted it for AFC review, so I don't think his intention is that we not have the article. - MrOllie (talk) 20:01, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't catch the sandbox article, right now I think this is fine though, let it go through AfC and then come to the mainspace after. The original also was already at AfD too, so not sure if it would have survived. RickinBaltimore (talk) 20:02, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on your user page, User talk:Rssinfotech, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. My patrolling experience

Hello, I'm not sure if there is a way for you remember my patrolling experience from my username (I do your's since I receive email notifications of page deletion from your end for the ones I tag via CSD).
In any case, if you do, would you please consider endorsing my request for 'New Page Patroller' rights (which has been denied for now) - here?
However, if you think that I do not have sufficient experience, I would understand and re-apply once I do.

The consensus at Wp:Articles for deletion/Bansal Classes was that it is notable. G11 deletion is invalid. Quoth WP:CSD: "If a page has survived its most recent deletion discussion, it should not be speedy deleted except for newly discovered copyright violations and pages that meet specific uncontroversial criteria; these criteria are noted below.". Please restore. 103.6.159.81 (talk) 08:25, 6 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that this exists at Bansal Learning, so since that's the case I will not restore at this time as there doesn't appear to be a need to do so. If you feel it needs to be restored, go to deletion review. RickinBaltimore (talk) 12:09, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, I'm not sure whether I pinged you correctly over at the AfD - Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bansal Learning, please so undelete this page so that we can have fuller discussion on which article needs to be kept. Feedback and Guide me on how to submitted

[edit]

Respected Rick, I need your HELP and GUIDANCE on Article that I submitted in Adil Adi. Please, can you share your FEEDBACK? Thanks Adil AdiAdil Adi (talk) 19:38, 7 March 2017 (UTC) What is the reason that you remove the article? I will be more appreciated to learn from you. Adil Adi (talk) 19:38, 7 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The issue is that the article was promotional in nature. This is something that we discourage on Wikipedia. Additionally, and much more importantly, this was an autobiography. This is something that is HIGHLY discouraged, and is scrutinized even more so. RickinBaltimore (talk) 19:40, 7 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding PSI

[edit]

I believe that this page should be deleted, because it is mostly made up of promotional material and is made mostly by school's students and other people, who are in close connection with the subject. This explains, why this article is almost entirely unsourced and is written like an advertisement booklet. This page needs to be entirely re-written to meet Wikipedia's guidelines. Even though this page contains clean up tags, cleaning up won't help the issue very much. I will place the CSD tag back where it belongs. Cheers, FriyMan talk 14:51, 8 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I'd not do that. If you think the page needs to be deleted, take it to AfD at this point. Once a CSD tag is removed by an editor that is not the author, it's a contested deletion, and CSD no longer applies. I don't have an opinion on the page, except that cleanup does not equal deletion. RickinBaltimore (talk) 15:01, 8 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your advice, RickinBaltimore! I have made an AfD discussion about the article and I believe it will be deleted. I did not know about the contested deletion policy. Thank you, FriyMan talk 15:21, 8 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

About a deleted page

[edit]

Dear RickinBaltimore,

As I noticed the Creamfinance page was proposed for a speedy deletion and afterwards deleted. I believe there is significant new information for this page that would justify recreating the deleted page. I am willing to contribute to its content if you give the chance. Can this be done by reuploading this page a draft so that I could contribute to the content for reevaluation?

Looking forward to your response!

ArtisOzolins (talk) 16:24, 8 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This page was deleted, because it was promotional and a recreation of previously deleted page. It is generally considered bad to recreate a page, that was deleted per a deletion discussion, ArtisOzolins. And remember, pages are not always deleted, because they are not notable. RickinBaltimore, have you considered salting the page? (Sorry for talk page stalking, I have been a victim of it too.) FriyMan talk 06:39, 9 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I have in fact salted the page, and yes this was purely promotional copy and I would not restore it. RickinBaltimore (talk) 13:05, 9 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

About Deleted Page Analytic Solver

[edit]

I was trying to create a page simalar to Gurobi, ModeFRONTIER, ModeFRONTIER, or even Microsoft Excel. There are many other software products listed on wikipedia I thought I could create a simalar page about one I was intersted in. I would like to make it work, I just don't understand what was wrong with it. It is important to me because it's made by a company Frontline Systems Inc. in my hometown Incline Village, NV. I place where most people only think of tourism but I think it's important to show the other things that have come from Lake Tahoe. Thank you, TahoeBob —Preceding undated comment added 18:32, 9 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewing the page, the issue with the software, and the reason for deletion, was that it was promoting the product, rather than describing it. A second issue that may apply is if it even a notable piece of software, see WP:GNG for a better understanding of what is notable. WHile there are other software applications, they have met the general notability guidelines for inclusion. RickinBaltimore (talk) 18:41, 9 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Part's of Analytic Solver have shipped with every version of excel since 1990, there must be a billion people or more who have it. It was the first solver software to be accessible in every major spreadsheet program. The page was a work in progress could you at least allow me to edit it in draft so I can fix it to meet the guide lines. As I believe it is a very notable piece of software from a very notable company founded by a notable person Dan Fylstra [1] Thank you TahoeBob (talk) 19:07, 9 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I posted the deleted text at User:TahoeBob/Sandbox. Feel free to work on it there, but be mindful of the promotional tone of the article. RickinBaltimore (talk) 19:09, 9 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

41 Entertainment Post

[edit]

Hi Rick -

You recently deleted a page for 41 Entertainment. The company is established and has years of successful partnerships that can easily be found throughout the web. We are a major supplier of children's animated content to Netflix. The most recent submission was written in a neutral, factual style. Also, everything was attributed to outside resources. We would like to resubmit our document to have a page on Wikipedia. Thank you to advise. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41ent (talkcontribs) 19:46, 10 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I would HIGHLY recommend a name change immediately before this is even considered. Your user name, and the use of "we" in your message shows this is a promotional account, and is not allowed per Wikipedia's rules. RickinBaltimore (talk) 19:48, 10 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I saw that- and would have nominated it if it hadn't already been. Classic example of providing nothing but puff about the company, with nothing encyclopaedic remaining. How much more obvious does SEO have to become, I wonder. — O Fortuna! Imperatrix mundi. 19:58, 10 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

UPDATED: CHRIST APOSTOLIC CHURCH INTERNATIONAL

[edit]

Hello I responded to the Speedy deletion tag placed against the article CHRIST APOSTOLIC CHURCH INTERNATIONAL by the user Reddogsix on his talk page. The article is about the pioneers of PENTECOSTALISM in Ghana. This is the first ever pentecostal ministry started in Ghana 100 years ago. It is an international organization with branches in the United States of America, Togo, Nigeria, and other parts of Africa.

Kindly reverse the deletion or send them on my talk page so that I add the update. I was updating the page when you deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rockampson (talkcontribs) 18:32, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

AG Markets

Hey RickinBaltimore you just deleted the AG Markets article (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=AG_Markets&action=edit&redlink=1). I would really like if you indicate me what to change on the article in order to not delete it. I've created this company's website but is a company that people is interested on, Is not advertising. So please, it would be really helpful if you indicate me what to change on the artice to not delete it.

Thanks in advance Ksekoliara —Preceding and I'm not sure how to take out that link at the end, sorry.undated comment added 15:25, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

SInce you created the company website, you have an admitted conflict of interest with the article. That aside, the article did not show how the company was notable, nor did it have any outside independent reliable sources to show why it was notable. This was an ad for the company, not as an encyclopedic article. RickinBaltimore (talk) 18:10, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hey again rick, I don't think I have a conflict of interests, The company is a forex broker and has a wide amount of clients. So, if I show you reliable sources to show that is notable you will not delete it? Is not an AD. Sorry I wanted to say ARticle not website. I created the article.

Thanks in advance — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ksekoliara (talkcontribs) 10:18, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

THe issue again is that since you created the company website, that is a direct conflict of interest, as you worked with the company in question. RickinBaltimore (talk) 15:53, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
User:Ksekoliara - First, please sign your posts. Second, sometimes there isn't anything that you can change on a promotional article to make it non-promotional. A corporate article can be deleted for non-notability or for promotional nature, or both. The argument that "people are interested" may be true but irrelevant; we don't use Wikipedia to serve a commercial interest. RickinBaltimore is a reasonable administrator and deletes things that need deleting. Sometimes they can't be fixed. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:13, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Review BuzzConf

[edit]

Hi RickinBaltimore. A few of the BuzzConf community came to look at and work on the BuzzConf page I created, and I was asked if it's ready for resubmission. I don't want to make the mistake of making it part of the main Wikipedia area yet, and was wondering if there's any way to get feedback on the page to date. Thanks!! --Geekcamper (talk) 04:03, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

One of the biggest issues I have with the page is the lack of independent secondary reliable sources. So far the only sources you have in the article are to your event, which are 1st party and not able to be used for sourcing. I do see there are press releases on the event, but these aren't tied into the article and help establish it's notability. It's looking better, but it's not ready to go just yet. Also, if you did submit it through AfC, and it's declined, it isn't a negative, the AfC editors can pinpoint what you'd have to do with the article. RickinBaltimore (talk) 12:36, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You deleted this a couple of weeks ago- can you just see whether it's substantially different in its new creation? Take care — O Fortuna! Imperatrix mundi. 12:30, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The ad copy has been removed somewhat, though the "Omniservices" section does read a bit like a promotion of the company's services (and I don't think it's needed). Needs sourcing though. RickinBaltimore (talk) 12:39, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Bibliotech Page review

[edit]

Hello, you recently deleted the Bibliotech page after it had been submitted for review and cited G11 for unambiguous advertising but I was wondering if it could be reinstated. It has been edited several times since its original deletion as a draft, and is a neutral article - unless you can pinpoint which part specifically seems like advertising. The article mirrors other pages of similar companies including Chegg and Spotify, for example, and also covers other relevant topics including education and changes in publishing. There are also several sources cited that support the information (not just about the company) and therefore does not seem worthy of deletion. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cris Tkatchenko (talkcontribs) 09:35, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
