1968 Winter Olympics
At the 1968 Winter Olympics held in neighbouring Grenoble, it played host to the luge events.[1] Costing FRF 3,190,000 to complete, the Olympic luge track was completed using 1,400 cubic metres of earthwork and 1,800 cubic metres of reinforced concrete.[1] The facility had three start houses, 132 lighting posts, telephone circuitry, 40 loudspeakers, and a signalling system for the competitors.[1]
