  • Comment – The WP:LEAD section of articles often do not need sources because the lead section summarizes content in other sections of the article. If the latter content has sources, then citations are not needed in the lead. North America1000 09:55, 17 May 2019 (UTC)

  • Dongding Island - This would be an interesting challenge for someone who does cleanup. The topic deserves a more professional touch than I can give it. I created this new article, and it's not a long article- maybe under 1000 words. I think it needs the touch of someone more familiar with Wikipedia standards for high quality articles- someone who does cleanup. I would just mess it up even further if I tried to clean it up. The citations are okay, but I think they could be better. I will try to learn from the way the article is changed to reform my style of editing. Geographyinitiative (talk) 19:34, 15 June 2019 (UTC)

  • GT Dave - American drink industry businessman. A possible COI contribution, but the person looks notable to me. The article, however, needs a bit of cleanup. As an example, I am pretty sure that the phrase "His oldest brother, Adam, graduated from Louisiana State University's medical school in 2008" should be in the article. --Bbarmadillo (talk) 08:26, 13 July 2019 (UTC)
  • Hawaiian Falls - reads like someone copied in a corporate report or internal history of the company. Capitalization of "the Company" and overemphasis on legal negotiations lend support to this position. -- Damenleeturks (talk) 22:16, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
Partly done - cleaned up a bit and did a rewrite of "Hawaiian Falls Waco" (same kind of edits could be applied to other sections). --Bbarmadillo (talk) 09:27, 13 July 2019 (UTC)

  • Kimono -- an anon user from the UK has added a ton of content just in the past few weeks. This appears to be the same user as a known anon active on the EN WIKT, who appears to be somewhat obsessive-compulsive about Japan, and who is unable to read Japanese. They also appear to source from manga and other works of dubious academic quality. Much of their EN WIKT content has been outright wrong, with the occasionally correct fact mixed in. I suspect that much of the recent additions to Kimono require close vetting. I've done a quick pass through the Kimono#Accessories_and_related_garments section, stripping out patently incorrect "lit" additions to Japanese terms, and correcting their addition of the "hakoseko" description. However, there's a ton of content that I just don't have time to go through.
I'm an admin and editor mainly of Japanese entries on EN WIKT. Feel free to ping me for background on this user, or for any help with the Japanese terms. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 17:12, 10 July 2019 (UTC)

  • Orphan BLP article Randal Teague seems excessively detailed, containing material that is unreferenced, referenced to self-published sources, and/or just plain trivial in nature. Later parts of it read like a personal resume written by the subject or someone closely associated with the subject (e.g. reporting authorship of what appear to be obscure committee reports, a long list of memberships in all kinds of organizations that nobody else is likely to know, that he and his divorced wife are on friendly terms, places he has visited, etc.). Most content came from a single-purpose editor indeffed for having a corporate name, and then a subsequent editor that looks sock/meatish. The subject may be too notable to AfD, yet the current page needs a severe haircut. Agricolae (talk) 01:32, 4 March 2020 (UTC)

  • Como - i added the climate chart template but i am not able to make it appear in the climate section; it seems i put the code in the right place but on my pc it is rendered in the following section (Main Sights). My screen resolution is 1360*768 on a windows desktop; at 1280*1024 is badly placed as well - user agent is Chrome but even using different user agents nothing changes. Same problem on mobile devices. If i edit only the Climate section and then preview it, it appears in the right place but when you finish editing it is misplaced nontheless. Strange Itemirus (talk) 12:24, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

Not done See note below. -- WILDSTARtalk 12:49, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
information Note: Itemirus The MediaWiki software is rendering the page correctly using a Responsive Design Mode (RDM). The placing of images, templates, etc. when editing and after publishing can differ for a variety of reasons. You can preview your page using source editing instead of visual editing to get a better idea how it will look before publishing. There are advanced techniques you can use as found at WP:EIS and even using CSS to force a different outcome. However, because there is an inordinate amount of images in that article, expect things to differ substantially between various screen sizes. Consider reviewing MOS:IMAGES, and in particular MOS:SANDWICH for all the sandwiching I saw in the article. Sometimes, less is more. Thank you. -- WILDSTARtalk 12:49, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

Fixed remaining bare URLs. -- WILDSTARtalk 22:44, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
information Note: not sure if this person is even notable. No inline citations; "References" consists of google scholar citation number, two dead pages on the site of his university, two of his publications, and a dead site. There are no claims in the article that would make him satisfy one of the criteria of WP:NACADEMIC, let alone sources for them. I will try to look for some sources, but if I'm unsuccessful, I will probably nominate it at AFD. PJvanMill (talk) 21:04, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
Partly done I get the impression that there are probably enough sources out there to write an article, but it would have to be rewritten from the very ground up. For now I've gutted the article. PJvanMill (talk) 18:22, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
information Note: Striking this entry as the work that remains to be done is not cleanup work. PJvanMill (talk) 21:44, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
  • Charing Cross tube station - Recently rewritten, instead of condensing the article, the edit expanded it to a ridiculously long level, particularly the history section, but just in general. I'd like to see the previous version added to and clarified, but we're talking sentences, not entire pages of new information. The major expansion is not consistent with other articles on rapid transit stations. --Criticalthinker (talk) 05:17, 10 May 2020 (UTC)
  • So, I did discuss this the person who made the edits. There is no use to go back and forth with him because it was clear he disagrees. I honestly don't think it's much of a debate that if the former page was too little then the expansion is MUCH too much. I even left suggestions of how it could be improved. The length simply isn't consistent with other comparable pages. --Criticalthinker (talk) 09:25, 10 May 2020 (UTC)
  • I don't think we did discuss this as such. You made a comment that you though the article was too long and detailed. I made a comment that it was following precedents of other better quality articles from our WikiProject. I also don't think that WP:CLEAN is intended for the sort of changes that you are asking for. You don't say which articles you are comparing this one to, but, in my response, I gave some examples of other good and featured articles on our project. I only provided examples of London Underground related articles, but there is also London Necropolis railway station (GA), Herne Hill railway station (FA), London Bridge station (GA) and Quainton Road railway station (FA), all of which have long detailed history sections. I'm not suggesting that all station articles should be expanded to this level of detail - most of them don't have this amount of history - but Charing Cross tube station did have a long gestation period, which I believe is worth including. You commented that instead of condensing the article, the edit expanded it to a a ridiculously long level. Why is a detailed history of planning and construction ridiculous? As the previous version of the article was lacking basic key information, how could it have been condensed?--DavidCane (talk) 10:58, 10 May 2020 (UTC)
information Note: While at first I did think the history section seemed rather long and possibly overdetailed, on closer inspection, I get the impression that the length is not due to an excessive level of detail, but more to the amount of history that the station has. Everything in the section seems to be properly sourced, as well. That it is longer than articles on similar topics is not much of an argument in that case. Given all that, I am striking this entry as probably not needing cleanup. PJvanMill (talk) 21:51, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

  • Clampi (trojan) - rewrite/context | I've make a series of major edits in an attempt to resolve a resonating issue with "vandalism" (not, AGF) from Youtube fans of Kitboga (streamer) trying to warn people that wp as being used as part of a technical support scam. I've taken courses in technical writing but admittedly this needs some help. I've changed the tense to past tense to reflect the confusion as to with this is either a virus with current potential to cause harm or a historical footnote forshadowing future trojans with ever evolving capabilities. Please absolutely take 20 minutes to read the talk page before commenting. Technophant (talk) 11:56, 2 June 2020 (UTC)
@Technophant This looks quite good actually. It's well-sourced, neutral, and for the most part very readable. I think it's quite clear from the lead that this isn't currently much of a threat. The only improvement that I immediately see is that the second sentence of the lead should be split up into 2 or 3 sentences. Is there any specific problem you need help with? Kind regards from PJvanMill (talk) 19:34, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
