Zimbabwe at the Olympics
Template:Infobox Olympics Zimbabwe Zimbabwe first participated at the Olympic Games under that name in 1980, and has sent athletes to compete in every Summer Olympic Games since then. Previously, Rhodesia had participated in the Games on three occasions since 1928. The nation has never participated in the Winter Olympic Games.
Zimbabwean athletes have won a total of eight medals: the surprise gold medal by the Zimbabwe women's national field hockey team in 1980, and seven medals by swimmer Kirsty Coventry, three in 2004 and four in 2008.
The National Olympic Committee for Zimbabwe was created in 1934 and recognized by the International Olympic Committee in 1980.
