Content of TRINet was cut-and-pasted to TRINet (India coast), with new content entered at TRINet to replace existing content. [1]Somno (talk) 03:05, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Guadalajara (disambiguation). and Guadalajara (disambiguation). There are two disambiguation pages one ending with a period and the other not. At the moment the latter is a redirect to the former. I would suggest moving the latter to the former, and then deleting the article ending with the '.', but both seem to have signicant history which may need to be merged. Hope this is the right place for listing this. Edgepedia (talk) 05:44, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
WUPF and WXPT, article was created for WXPT as a silent station. When station signed on and changed call sign to WUPF, a new article was created. I updated older page and tried to move it before I noticed that a new page had been created. There are not too many concurrent edits to confuse edit histories. Thanks RobDe68 (talk) 04:15, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
I have made a cut and paste edit from Gulzar to Sampooran Singh Gulzar after leaving a comment on the talk page. Similarly the talk pages have be cut and paste moved from Talk:Gulzar to Talk:Sampooran Singh Gulzar. Normal move was not possible as the redirect pages existed. Request you to merge the edit history and leave the other pages as redirect and not delete it. Bharathprime (talk) 04:36, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
Old Fiat Panda and New Fiat Panda were cut-and-paste merged on 23 June 2006 to Fiat Panda. Template:db-histmerge doesn't allow double mergers, so I leave the propusal here. --NaBUru38 (talk) 04:18, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Mudface (album) was redirected to Mudface because the two targets already existed and someone redirected the former to the undisambiguated title. Please merge the histories of both, as well as their talk pages. --Pwnage8 (talk) 15:27, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
Evidence was moved to Evidence (general) through copy-and-paste. There seems to be no consensus for this move, but more importantly, it was done the wrong way. Since then, the copy-pasted version has been further edited. I suggest merging the changes at Evidence (general) into Evidence, which can then be moved properly if consensus supports it. Somno (talk) 04:50, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Done & text-merge their talk pages Anthony Appleyard (talk) 09:50, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
I cut and paste moved flat pack to Flatpack_(electronics) redirecting the old page to Ready-to-assemble furniture as that made far more sense based on links to the page etc. However i didn't realise the move option existed (i do now) so obviously the history wasn't copied over. I've tagged Flatpack_(electronics) - could someone take a look? Thanks. extraordinary (talk) 09:53, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
MNU was copy/pasted to N-Nitroso-N-methylurea 11:12, 23 May 2007. I turned the former into a disambiguation page. --Aepoutre (talk) 08:48, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
Done versions prior to 23 May 2007 merged, later versions retained at MNU as dab page. Keith D (talk) 13:28, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
Talk:Bounty (ship) has wrong edit history because (Mea Culpa) the article page and talk page were pasted over HMS Bounty and its corresponding talk page. The cut and paste of the article was reverted leaving the talk pages tangled up, which was then 'fixed' with another cut and paste. Hope that's clear. Thanks. 17:40, 12 November 2008 User:Petecarney
I did it, but now Anthony Appleyard is undoing it as far as I can tell. I'll wait for him to finish, and hopefully he'll explain if I've made a mistake. Stwalkerster [ talk ] 22:45, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
An old one. Rags to riches cut paste to Rags to Riches over the disambiguation page there previously, 13 March 2007. I think Rags to riches is the correct capitalization for the phrase. Tassedethe (talk) 16:39, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
On 4 november, after a 94.189.172.94's edition, Onlyonetime moved List of Spanish monarchs to List of heads of state of Spain without explanation nor discussion 18 minutes later [4]. After 10 minutes, Onlyonetime copied y pasted the same html code where the redirect template was (in List of Spanish monarchs) [5], and half an hour later, 94.189.172.94 did exactly the same action, [6]. At 21:18, 94.189.172.94 redirected, again, List of heads of state of Spain to List of Spanish monarchs (he put redirect template in List of heads of state of Spain, on the contrary), and 7 minutes later Onlyonetime did a new edition. [7]. Hereby a new page of List of Spanish monarchs has been created with a different historial. I put some notification to the checkuser and the User:Habbit put other one to the administrator due to vandalism on another page with the same protagonists. The result is that they have been blocked.
I ran across a cut and paste move at DYK. The article Hershey's Snack Barz was cut and pasted into the Snack Barz article and they both have independent histories. It's a little too complicated for me to try as I have only done simple cases. The current redirect from Hershey's Snack Barz to Snack Barz sounds appropriate to me and is not being debated as far as I know. Royalbroil 17:31, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Done as plain move. The c&p was a plain copy with no editing then or after, so I reverted it. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 17:58, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
because of copy&paste Copyright infringement please just delete these 2 versions ([10], [11]) of the previous and current redirect Aşa to the articel Asa (singer). I already reverted the copy&paste of an IP, but because of Copyright infringement the versions should be deleted as well. (PS: I hope I'm correct here; if not pls. move my request to the correct place). Thx and regards --Jutta234 (talk) 00:00, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Done It was probably ok, but no harm in being on the cautious side. Cool HandLuke 15:19, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Just noticed this one I did a couple of years ago. An editor had overwritten the dab page BCK with a new article, so I moved that to BC Kosher then cut and pasted the old dab page back into BCK. The revisions of BC Kosher from revision 70823185 [12] and earlier should be merged into BCK. Thanks and sorry for the trouble. —Elipongo (Talkcontribs) 08:38, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Valentine (Restaurant) was created in November 2006. Another user created an article at Valentine (restaurant) in October 2008, realised there was a duplicate, and copy/pasted content in to his page before redirecting the original article. It's now in the correct place (with no capital 'R'), but with an improper history which needs splicing. Regards, --DeLarge (talk) 17:46, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
List of stars of Hyades & List of Stars of Hyades... the article originated on the badly named one, was renamed, then was copypasted back to the bad name and edited. So the two histories should be merged, and the talk page moved over to the properly named article, and the list table should exist as the latest version on the badly named one. 70.55.200.131 (talk) 11:42, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
DoneEndocrine gland to Endocrine glands. While not exactly a cut and paste move, these articles are on the same topic and have no overlapping content in the history. Endocrine gland was originally created on 5 May 2003, and then merged into Endocrine system on 5 February 2006. Then, Endocrine glands was created on 19 June 2006 and still exists now. The second iteration of the article should have been recreated at Endocrine gland, but was instead created elsewhere. Now, I'd like to move Endocrine glands to Endocrine gland, and I think history merging these two articles is most appropriate. --Scott Alter 05:55, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
British Australian Rules Football League to AFL Britain. AFL Britain was created as a new article. Later the contents of British Australian Rules Football League were copied over. Later again British Australian Rules Football League was redirected to AFL Britain. -- Mattinbgn\talk 23:49, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
I request merging history of Semi-simple algebra with Semisimple algebra. I believe this is nontrivial and non-controversial; although the cut-and-paste move is several years old. JoergenB (talk) 22:04, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
At 11:34 (UTC) on September 10, I believe I performed an unacceptable procedure. I began to use "cut and paste" over the course of several days to delete appx. 99% of the material in Prosecutor's Management Information System because it was merely a redundant, repetition of the history of Inslaw. My explanation for doing what I did was then posted in a notice by me and inserted on the talkpage on September 11, at 13:25 (UTC). Thus, I suppose that I messed up the continuity of the history of Prosecutor's Management Information System. My intent was not malicious; it was academic: there was no need for a "history of the story of Inslaw's contentious battle with the Department of Justice" to be written twice when it was clear to me that an article on Inslaw could contain the story, and an article on PROMIS could contain detailed information about what PROMIS is, was, and will do. I attempted to explain the difference in the opening paragraph on the PROMIS page; meanwhile I jotted down a bunch of temporary "note" material for interested parties to evaluate before they began writing repetitive material about a court case. Anyway, to make all the above short, I believe that someone with much more experience in Wikipedia guidelines and procedures needs to evalute what I have done and to tell me to leave Wikipedia, or help me correct my stupidity. Sorry. Hag2 (talk) 16:12, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
The work done on 10 September 2008 looks to me like ordinary text-merging, and there seems to be no history-merge to do. Leave a note in these two pages' talk pages explaining what happened. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 16:34, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
So that's a Done? Please be aware I have no clue how to properly format requests here, this was brought to my attention via an IRC request. Maxim(talk) 00:42, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
Wow. It looks like he cut, pasted, and redirected all of these! Will take a little while to sort out... And yes, TT should know better. Cool HandLuke 01:31, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Done This request involved 15 merges. I also did the semi-protections since those look reasonable, and about half of them already were at semi. Cool HandLuke 02:17, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
User:Skomorokh/Anarchist terminology seems to have been cut'n'pasted, with minor alterations, to Anarchist terminology. If someone could merge all the history of the userspace version into the mainspace version, and then delete the userspace version as a user request, I would be most grateful. the skomorokh 09:48, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Done by Anthony already. Cool HandLuke 05:15, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
I completely blew it and absent-mindedly started a copy/paste move... stopping halfway through it when I realized my mistake. My intent was to move Nims to Nims (river) and then redirect Nims (NIMS) to National Incident Management System, which is a much more active page. I was then going to add "for" links to National Incident Management System for both the Nims river and Nims surname. Sorry for the goof. Fjbfour (talk) 05:32, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
I have already done that, or what needs to be done? Page Nims is now a disambig page. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:56, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Looks fine, thanks for the repair. Fjbfour (talk) 01:43, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Dalmatian was c&p moved to Dalmatian (dog) on 20 June 2008 and made into a disambiguation page. The dab page has subsequently been edited and a listing added. —Elipongo (Talkcontribs) 23:57, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
Addendum: The talk pages need to be merged as well. —Elipongo (Talkcontribs) 00:03, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
The page The early years was created, then The Early Years (Dannii Minogue album) was created. As the second title was better, but it could not be speedy deleted, I moved the text from the old title to the new one, with minor changes, then requested a history merge so the history of the old title could be moved, and then it could be redirected to The Early Years. The edits to The early years after The Early Years (Dannii Minogue album) was created only consist of deletion requests, reverts and redirects, and do not add any content; at the time I requested a merge these edits did not exist. --Snigbrook(talk) 22:00, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
Hoy ya me Voy->Hoy Ya Me Voy. Former has old history, but the latter seems to be the correct capitalization. At the moment both stand alone, altho' there is essentially no simultaneous/parallel edit history to muck things up. Shawisland (talk) 21:35, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
The user should have requested userfication to have the article properly copied to his userspace. I notified the user of the problem at User talk:Jmpenzone with no response. I would have fixed this myself, but I proposed the AfD and would rather a third party admin take a look at this. --—— Gadget850 (Ed)talk - 16:03, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
Not done: no answer in 11 days. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 11:47, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
The author created "Hampshire County, Virginia Delegate James Allen" [13] shortly before copying and pasting it verbatim to "Colonel James Allen".[14] Another editor redirected the original to the Colonel. I moved the "Colonel James Allen" page to James Allen (Virginia delegate) as part of cleanup. • Gene93k (talk) 07:18, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

The article Strong Hearts was deleted. I had an admin userfy it for me at User:Skomorokh/Strong, with the intention of recreating it, but I decided to merge it to the related article Rod Coronado instead, for notability reasons (Strong Hearts was a zine Coronado wrote). The Coronado article now includes contributions from the deleted article, as well as one from my sandbox. Is it possible for these edits to be merged into the history of the Coronado article? I would like my sandbox deleted, but don't wish to violate anyone's GFDL rights. Any help appreciated, Skomorokh 00:12, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
I'm sorry I'm afraid I'm not familiar with this area, what does "parallel versions" mean? How will the reader be able to identify the authors of the Strong Hearts section of the Rod Coronado article if all the history of the section is deleted? Skomorokh 15:55, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
Good question, Skomorokh. Maybe there's some way to do it. Can you figure out who the authors were and list them somewhere, such as in an edit summary or on the talk page? (I'm not sure whether that would do or not; and if the page history is complicated it might not be feasible.) ☺Coppertwig(talk) 01:08, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
R-7 (missile) → R-7 Semyorka. R-7 Semyorka was cut-and-paste moved to R-7 (missile) without discussion. Per de facto naming conventions, the former title would be preferable when fixing the move. If the move to R-7 (missile) had been discussed, then there would have been opposition. --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 08:02, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Disregard, user seems to have reverted it, and no significant history remains at the redirect. --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 08:45, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Not done. Someone reverted the cut-&-paste. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 10:49, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Hrm, since this began way back in 2006 when neither method was discouraged, it probably requires a talk page consensus to merge the histories back into the main talk page of the article. –xeno (talk) 19:46, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
