Bethnal Green railway station is in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets in east London. The station, and all trains serving it, is operated by 'one', on the West Anglia route, and it is in Travelcard Zone 2. Currently those who own an Oyster card cannot use it at this station. It is not to be confused with Bethnal Green tube station, which is about five minutes' walk away.
The station was formerly called Bethnal Green Junction and was also served by trains on the Great Eastern Main Line.
The typical off-peak service from the station is:
- 8tph (trains per hour) to London Liverpool Street
- 4tph to Chingford fast to Hackney Downs then all stations
- 2tph to Cheshunt fast to Hackney Downs then all stations via Seven Sisters
- 2tph to Enfield Town all stations via Seven Sisters
