*admin-note Obaid, I have now examined your editing history and unfortunately it is quite clear that apparently starting from this edit on May 26, 2018 on the arbcom page you have made numerous edits on wikipedia that don't seem to be written by you, but appear to be composed by and posted on behalf of some other user(s). All these edits are either complaints against editors you perceive to be on the "other side" India-Pakistan editing divide (eg, 1, 2, 3) or article-space/talkpage edits concerning related editing disputes (eg, 1, 2, 3). Worse, these apparent proxy-edits have continued since the friendly warning I gave you on July 18th (subsequent violations: 1, 2)pb
:For these reasons I have instituted the topic-ban listed above. Please note that the topic-ban covers all namespaces and specifically includes discussions at WP:ANI, WP:AN, WP:SPI, WP:EW etc regarding edits/editor(s) in the area you are topic-banned from, except when you are a directly involved party (eg, if an editor working in the area complains about you, you are free to respond).
:Since your work prior to May 26, 2018, and edits after that date that don't concern the India-Pakistan conflict, seem fine, I have kept the topic-ban focus narrow. However, please don't game that latitude, since that may require broadening of the topic-ban or escalation to a block. The process to appeal this discretionary sanction is described in the above template. Abecedare (talk) 02:36, 12 August 2018 (UTC)

Welcome

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent edits do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the "sandbox" rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributor's help page, or you can write helpme below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! Dougweller (talk) 17:25, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted your addition of the "Indian separatist movements" to the Muslim Conference. It doesn't make sense to label it "Indian" when it is not even in "India". I find this to be an extreme POV edit. If you disagree and have valid reasons for doing this, please open a discussion on the article talk page. Kautilya3 (talk) 18:19, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

there is a requirement for a stand alone article

Yes, there are a lot of other crappy articles about radio and tv stations that also should be removed from Wikipedia, however, that is not an excuse to leave one more that fails to meet the requirements .-- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 11:58, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Green turban requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Article claims a special significance for green turbans, but sources do not

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Proposed deletion of Green turban

The article Green turban has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article claims a special significance to green turbans, but sources show no more significance than black, white, red, and yellow turbans.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Template:English to urdu wikipedia's note:
this template is intended for translation of english wikipedia templates into urdu wikipedia.--Obaid Raza (talk) 04:19, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
and see User:محمد شعیب/LinkTranslator.js--Obaid Raza (talk) 04:24, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
This doesn't explain why the template might be necessary, or even why any intermediate page on en:wp might be necessary in order for the translation script to work. Please note that you absolutely cannot use template space to host article content. See WP:TG. If you really do need to use an intermediate page for the translation script to work, then there is no problem using a user sandbox page for this purpose. But please do not insert article content into this or any other template.
At least the present version of this template doesn't contain any article content. But if it really is necessary, then you need to provide template documentation explaining why it is necessary and how to use it. Otherwise it is likely to be nominated for deletion again.

thanks, Category:People from Punjab, Pakistan has 39 sub Categories.--Obaid Raza (talk) 07:21, 18 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
But Chacha Pakistani isn't in any of those 39 subcategories, so you removed information from his article. Looking at your most recent edits, I see that Har Gobind Khorana is in Category:People from Khanewal District, so it was sensible to remove the broader category, but Aslam Pahalwan isn't in any subcategory so should have been left in Punjab. Please check all the articles from which you've removed the Punjab category, and replace it if they aren't in a subcategory. Thanks. PamD 08:01, 18 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please help me remove my confusion about Pakistani film categories

My Salaams and greetings: Seems like there are too many 'Repeat' categories for Pakistani films. I am being sincere in asking so both of us save our time. I thought I would simply ask you so we both save time adding and removing categories. A tag has been placed on Template:Infobox Buddhism requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>substituted</noinclude>).

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page's talk page, where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 11:27, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Reviewer Flag

Hi, Obaid Raza.
I've noticed that you are an AfC reviewer but don't yet have the New Page Reviewer flag. Would you please consider heading over to PERM and requesting it? (check the flag requirements HERE)
As part of a larger plan to increase cooperation between New Page Patrol and Articles for creation, we are trying to get as many of the active AfC reviewers as possible under the NPR user flag (per this discussion). Unlike the AfC request list, the NPR flag carries no obligation to review new articles, so I'm not asking you to help out at New Page Patrol if you don't want to, just to request the flag.
Of course, if it is something you would be interested in, you can have a look at the NPP tutorial. Please mention that you are an active AfC reviewer in your application.
Cheers and thanks for helping out at AfC, — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 06:37, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

New page reviewer granted

Hello Obaid Raza. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group, allowing you to review new pages and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or in some cases, tag them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is a vital function for policing the quality of the encylopedia; if you have not already done so, you must read the new tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the various deletion criteria. If you need more help or wish to discuss the process, please join or start a thread at page reviewer talk.

 • URGENT: Please consider helping get the huge backlog down to a manageable number of pages as soon as possible.
 • Be nice to new users - they are often not aware of doing anything wrong.
 • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted - be formal and polite in your approach to them too, even if they are not.
 • Don't review a page if you are not sure what to do. Just leave it for another reviewer.
 • Remember that quality is quintessential to good patrolling. Take your time to patrol each article, there is no rush. Use the message feature and offer basic advice.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In case of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, the right can be revoked at any time by an administrator. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 14:57, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please provide some supporting evidence of Kautilya3 engaging in sock-puppetry and edit-warring, as asserted in your statement over this edit of your's at ARCA?

Discretionary sanctions alert

This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

Please carefully read this information:

The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

Proxy-editing concerns

As you may have seen, concerns were expressed at the recent SPI you filed that your complaint was a proxy-edit on behalf of others. I haven't looked into the evidence for that, and don't plan to at present. For now, I'll just advice that if indeed there is any truth to that, don't repeat any such edits in the future. There have been other signs of proxy-editing in this topic-area, and at some point admins are going to lose patience and start issuing blocks. Hope you'll keep that in mind and help dam such battleground conduct. Abecedare (talk) 22:37, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice that you are now subject to an arbitration enforcement sanction

The following sanction now applies to you:

You are indefinitely banned from edits and pages related to conflict between India and Pakistan, broadly construed

You have been sanctioned for apparent proxy-editing on behalf of other user(s) and battleground conduct (see note below for details)

This sanction is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/India-Pakistan#Final decision and, if applicable, the procedure described at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions. If the sanction includes a ban, please read the banning policy to ensure you understand what this means. If you do not comply with this sanction, you may be blocked for an extended period, by way of enforcement of this sanction—and you may also be made subject to further sanctions.

You may appeal this sanction using the process described here. I recommend that you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template if you wish to submit an appeal to the arbitration enforcement noticeboard. You may also appeal directly to me (on my talk page), before or instead of appealing to the noticeboard. Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. You are also free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. Abecedare (talk) 02:36, 12 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

 • information Administrator note Obaid, I have now examined your editing history and unfortunately it is quite clear that apparently starting from this edit on May 26, 2018 on the arbcom page you have made numerous edits on wikipedia that don't seem to be written by you, but appear to be composed by and posted on behalf of some other user(s). All these edits are either complaints against editors you perceive to be on the "other side" India-Pakistan editing divide (eg, 1, 2, 3) or article-space/talkpage edits concerning related editing disputes (eg, 1, 2, 3). Worse, these apparent proxy-edits have continued since the friendly warning I gave you on July 18th (subsequent violations: 1, 2)
For these reasons I have instituted the topic-ban listed above.
Since your work prior to May 26, 2018, and edits after that date that don't concern the India-Pakistan conflict, seem fine, I have kept the topic-ban focus narrow. However, please don't game that latitude, since that may require broadening of the topic-ban or escalation to a block. The process to appeal this discretionary sanction is described in the above template. Abecedare (talk) 02:36, 12 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
