Frozen 3, stylized as Frozen III, is an upcoming American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It will be the sequel to Frozen (2013) and Frozen II (2019), and the third installment in the Frozen franchise. Idina Menzel and Josh Gad will reprise their respective voice roles as Elsa and Olaf from the previous two films.
Development on a third Frozen film was announced by Disney CEO Bob Iger in February 2023, with Menzel and Gad set to return though Jennifer Lee revealed later that June that she would not return to direct. The release date was revealed in August 2024.
Frozen 3 is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States on November 24, 2027.

[edit]In February 2023, during the Q1 earnings call, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed that a sequel to Frozen II (2019) was in active development.[3] Shortly thereafter, Josh Gad confirmed that he would return as the voice of Olaf in the film.[4] In June of the same year, Jennifer Lee revealed that she would not be returning to direct.[5] At the D23 convention in August 2024, Lee showed the first look concept art of the film.[6]

[edit]In November 2023, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that a fourth Frozen film was in active development.[8] At the 2024 D23 convention, Lee confirmed that a fourth film was being planned.[9][6]
