Greetings; Not sure if you read the talk page for the Cochran article but I'm pretty sure that every edit I made was very well-documented and justified (unless I fumble-fingered an edit). Thanks for your concern, though! Let me know if there's something I've missed.[[User:Fanatic W1K|Fanatic W1K]] ([[User talk:Fanatic W1K|talk]]) 01:33, 5 July 2013 (UTC) |

Speedy deletion nomination of William Henry Gorman
You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
A tag has been placed on William Henry Gorman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. UtherSRG (talk) 23:20, 18 April 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Velocity, Inc.
A tag has been placed on Velocity, Inc. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. For finding a whole bunch of useful refs for ERCO Ercoupe - Ahunt (talk) 17:28, 9 February 2011 (UTC) |
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Curtiss Lark, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://manitobaaviationcouncil.ca/index2.php?option=com_docman&task=doc_view&gid=18&Itemid=35.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. Evening FlugKerl: Am I right to think that FlugKerl2 is someone completely different? I'm trying to get info on a photo (of a Twin Navion) by him or her! TSRL (talk) 21:43, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply. I've been dabbling in Temco aircraft lately, so when I saw the photo I wondered which Twin Navion it was, the Camair or the Temco/Riley. After staring at some images in Jane's AWA 1956/7 I convinced myself it shows the Temco, largely because of the curved fin leading edge, but also the twin nose-lights. Both types could have tip tanks. Its windscreen is different from those in the 1956 shots of both types, having no central pillar, but I guess these things get renewed. Do you agree with this identification? Maybe there is a serial or Oshkosh record as a cross check. If it can be definitely typed it would be helpful to annotate the photo info. Cheers, TSRL (talk) 08:50, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info on TTN39/N108N and also for revising the caption and photo info. If you are going to do the TEMCO Riley, then JAWA56/7 has an article on it, plus another on the Camair for comparison, both quite detailed.TSRL (talk) 19:30, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
Agusta GA-series engines
FlugKerl, I've noticed you've been working on engines made by Agusta, such as the Agusta GA.40 and Agusta GA.70. I've added a section for their engines at Agusta#Aircraft engines. Do you know if there are many more original engines made by Agusta? If there aren't too many, say under 8 or so, we can add these engines to Template:AgustaWestland aircraft. If there are more than 8-10, we could create a separate infobox for the engines. Thanks. - BilCat (talk) 09:30, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
Date format
Nice article on the Chester Swee'Pea, if a little short.I had to edit your dates to the standard Wikipedia format of dd mm yyyy - e.g. 20 July 1947. Abrial A-260 et al
Thanks for contributing to the Aviation Project. Your Abrial A-260 article is a little short even for a stub,and might be confused with a place-holder posted just to turn a red-link blue. Carry on writing articles, but can you ensure that they have more flesh before posting. A second source with spec.s and more info would be nice too. The idea of the red-link is to indicate where an article is required to be written. Posting sub-stubs just to remove red-links is counter-productive and against WP:REDDEAL. I am not posting this to be antagonistic;if you wish to discuss it further, append to this entry or at my ser page or better yet on Talk:List of aircraft. Keep up the good work, just a lot more before posting please.Petebutt (talk) 04:45, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi, you appear to have created a duplicate of Velie Monocoupe with Monocoupe Model 22. Your article is referenced, the other (which I believe ids the more common name) has a photo. It's page 24. Thought that it was interesting that they noted the first plane handled FlugKerl (talk) 18:58, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you for your prompt reply. It would have been a Cessna aircraft because Cessna operates the tower at IDP. As a part of the agreement with the City of Independence, Cessna has to supply the tower operations with personnel during parts of the day. I would guess that 90% of the traffic at the airport is generated by Cessna through their testing and certification operations at the local Cessna plant. Independence is the single-engine facility and the Cessna Citation Mustang line is located here. Cessna has been good for the city, but I can't help but wish that they had a larger backlog of aircraft to build these days. The economy has been rough on the general aviation industry and lay-offs at Cessna has not helped the local economy. Montgomery County where Independence, Kansas is located has the worse un-employment rate in Kansas lately. I hope things get better. Cheers. Cuprum17 (talk) 13:08, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
The article John G. Montijo has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

New aircraft articles
Don't forget that you can announce new aircraft articles at Wikipedia:New articles (Aircraft)Petebutt (talk) 15:23, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
- Hello FlugKerl. Congratulations on creating Richard VanGrunsven. It is a great article and well-sourced. I have just done a little copy-editing. The opening paragraph includes the following sentence: The number of VanGrunsven-designed homebuilt aircraft produced each year in North America exceeds the combined production of all commercial general aviation companies. Could you check the source cited for this sentence because I think the sentence contains an error? It states that the number of Vans' aircraft "produced each year in North America exceeds ... " and compares it with "all commercial general aviation companies." Vans' aircraft are manufactured in large numbers by amateur builders all around the world, not just in the USA and Canada, so the large number of such aircraft produced annually shouldn't be confined to North America. Secondly, if you are talking about "all commercial general aviation companies" you are including such companies world-wide. The number of aircraft produced by the world's general aviation companies is unlikely to be known with any accuracy because, outside North America, Europe and other English-speaking countries, aircraft manufacturers don't report their production statistices to anyone, and are not obliged to do so. I suggest the sentence should say:
- The number of VanGrunsven-designed homebuilt aircraft produced each year exceeds the combined production of all commercial general aviation companies in North America.

Knoll Aircraft Company
Hey FlugKerl, I just thought I'd let you know that I saw your article Knoll Aircraft Company in the New Articles list-- There is a good number of citations and references.However, I think the article seems to contain a few errors: the article is confusing. I do not understand what you are trying to say.It would be great if you could also add references to the related article Heinrich Hertel.
It's nice to see you editing! Amy Z (talk) 02:17, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
It is choppy.. The whole article started as a small citation about the beechcraft factory from a flying magazine article. Which had a mention of the yellow air cab company that I remembered in an old article on a Stout airplane I made a year ago, which led to the Knoll aircraft company, that was based at the same site, which led to half a dozen more airplane articles left to create. My articles are pretty choppy, as I gather every citation and ref I can, place them in the standard template, then build from there. In this case, Knoll has a half decent website to build from, but personal websites are not the best primary sources. I hope others with good sources can help fill in the prose in the middle. In this case, I could probably email a few people in the Wichita area and get some good stories to add... but one of Wikipedia's challenges is that if you really like a subject, you can't just add original research, even if you know the guy who built the aircraft. I doubt there is much out there on Knoll aircraft, but every once in a while I find a detailed article or newspaper story to build off of. I'll try to clean up the associated pages right after I get all my summer airshow photos imported into relevant pagesFlugKerl (talk) 04:05, 19 August 2012 (UTC)

Request for an Interview
Hi FlugKerl,
Thank you for getting back to me about Knoll Aircraft Company.
I am a researcher at Carnegie Mellon University examining how to make interaction in Wikipedia more effective. Our research has shown that certain types of feedback encourage Wikipedians to edit more while others seem to discourage them. Experienced and less experienced Wikipedians seem to have different reactions to very similar feedback. I am interested in interviewing you about your reaction to the message I sent you. A discussion with you will help us better understand the types of feedback that can encourage newcomers's participation to Wikipedia without turning off old-timers.
I can talk with you via online chat, on Skype, over the phone, or just through Wikipedia messages if you are more comfortable with that. The interview should take take less than 60 minutes. You do need to be over 18 years old, and consent to be a part of the study in order to for me to interview you. This study has been approved by Carnegie Mellon's research ethics committee (the IRB), and the Wikipedia Research Committee.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you soon. We will be glad to send you a draft describing our research results right after the interview.

Disambiguation link notification for September 30
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Aero Commander 500 family, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Rockwell and Yemen Airlines (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Greetings; Not sure if you read the talk page for the Cochran article but I'm pretty sure that every edit I made was very well-documented and justified (unless I fumble-fingered an edit). Thanks for your concern, though! Let me know if there's something I've missed.Fanatic W1K (talk) 01:33, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
