Poisar is a Area of Kandivali in the western side of Mumbai. It gets its name from the adjacent Poisar River. A BEST bus depot is located here. Also, Poisar Development is a company that derived the name Poisar; they have the Poisar River integrated into their logo.^{[citation needed]}

Overview

Poisar is an area located between Kandivali and Borivali. Poisar(West) comprises Borsapada etc. whereas Poisar (East) comprises slums and Thakur village and Thakur complex area.

Education

There are many schools from Thakur group and various trust running in Poisar. It hosts a renowned school called the Our Lady of Remedy High School and Kindergarten section.DVM High School run by Somvanshi charitable trust is in heart of Poisar(E)Slum. Poisar now has developed a lot with all kinds of facilities. BEST bus depot, Raghuleela MegaMall and good facilities has made it a better part of Kandivali and Borivali.
