Season chronology

Bigg Boss Tamil 3 is the ongoing third season of the reality TV game show Bigg Boss Tamil, which commenced on 23 June 2019 with 17 contestants (15 first-day entrants and 3 wildcard entrants – with one of them being already evicted housemates). Kamal Haasan returned for the third season as host. The show airs on Star Vijay. Hotstar also provides content not aired on television.

The house, located at EVP World in Chembarambakkam, Chennai, has been completely renovated with a Chettinad-based theme for this season.

^Note 2 : On Day 44, Saravan was ejected from the show after he had made a controversial statement on Day 35 that he had molested girls in the public bus when he was in college.

Weekly summary

The main events in the house are summarized in the table below. A typical week begins with nominations, followed by a "luxury budget" task, punishment, a task for immunity or anything else, and then the eviction of a housemate during the Saturday or Sunday show. Evictions, tasks, and other notable events for a particular week are noted in order of occurrence.

	Daily Tasks	On Day 1, the housemates selected one among themselves and "ganged" up on him/her, asking them to do a particular task. If the other housemates are satisfied with how the housemate did the task, they will garland him/her and welcome him/her back to the "gang". The same game was played on Day 2 when Meera entered the house. On Day 2, Sandy was assigned by Bigg Boss to teach the housemates to dance. On Day 3, Mohan was assigned by Bigg Boss to teach the housemates to sing. On Day 4, Meera was assigned by Bigg Boss to teach the housemates to model and walk the ramp. Vaayai Moodi Pesavum: On Day 4, the housemates were divided into 2 teams to play dumb charades. Team A: Cheran, Losliya, Madhumitha, Meera, Mohan, Mugen, Sandy, Tharshan Team B: Abhirami, Fathima, Kavin, Reshma, Sakshi, Saravanan, Sherin, Vanitha Winner: Team B On Day 5, Fathima was assigned by Bigg Boss to provide the housemates laughter therapy.
	Captaincy Task	On Day 1, the housemates were asked to select an envelope. One envelope read House Captain, while the other envelopes read one of either Cleaning Team, Cooking Team, Vessel Washing Team. Week 2
	Daily Tasks	On Day 8, Sakshi was assigned by Bigg Boss to teach the housemates karate. Vidhadhu Edhu: On Day 8, the housemates were divided into 4 teams to play the game Dog and Bone. Team 1: Losliya, Mohan, Sandy and Vanitha Team 2: Abhirami, Cheran, Mugen and Reshma Team 3: Fathima, Meera, Sakshi and Tharshan Team 4: Kavin, Madhumitha, Saravanan and Sherin Winner: Team 3 On Day 9, Madhumitha was assigned by Bigg Boss to give a motivational speech. On Day 10, Kavin was assigned by Bigg Boss to give a speech on love failure. On Day 11, Fathima was assigned by Bigg Boss to teach the housemates on news reading. Avvai Shanmughi: On Day 11, the male housemates impersonated as a particular female housemate and performed a skit regarding the events involving the female housemates in the house. The best performer was given a special prize. Best performer: Tharshan On Day 12, Saravanan was assigned by Bigg Boss to teach the housemates how to catch chickens. Prank Task: On Day 12, Bigg Boss told Sandy to play a prank on Meera by making her believe that there is a surprise mid-week eviction and that she has been evicted from the house with immediate effect. On Day 13, Abhirami was assigned by Bigg Boss to teach the housemates navarasas.
	Captaincy Task	On Day 7, host Kamal Haasan asked four housemates who are interested to become House Captain for the second week to come forward and explain why should the be nominated as captain and what they would do if they became captain. Once this was done, the housemate who received the most votes from the housemates became house captain for the week. Captaincy contenders: Meera, Mohan, Mugen and Reshma Winner: Mohan
	Nomination	On Day 8, Bigg Boss announced the rules and each housemate were called in the confession room for the nomination. Each housemate had to nominate 2 people barring the House Captain Mohan. Vanitha was given immunity by Kamal Haasan since she had been the House Captain during the first week when there were no nominations. Cheran, Fathima, Kavin, Madhumitha, Meera, Sakshi and Saravanan were nominated for the Week 2 eviction.
	Luxury Budget Task	Ippave Kanna Kattudhae: On Day 9, housemates were divided into 4 teams and each had to complete a task in the Activity Area within the time period to win luxury budget points. Team Annaparavai: Madhumitha, Meera, Sandy and Saravanan Team Yaanai: Fathima, Mohan, Mugen and Reshma Team Singam: Cheran, Kavin, Losliya and Vanitha Team Onai: Abhirami, Sakshi, Sherin and Tharshan Team Singam’s task (Day 9): One teammate had to lift up a bodybuilder seated on a wheelbarrow. Vanitha successfully completed the task. Team Onai’s task (Day 9): Two teammates had to solve a magnetic puzzle which has Kamal Haasan’s picture. Sakshi and Tharshan failed to complete the task. Team Annaparavai’s task (Day 11): Two teammates had to successfully retrieve a specific number of yellow and special coins from a muddy well. Madhumitha and Sandy successfully completed the task. Team Yaanai's task (Day 12): All the team members had to successfully eat the food before them before the time runs out. They successfully completed the task.
	In Jail	No housemate entered the Bigg Boss jail during this week.
	Exits	On Day 14, Fathima was evicted from the house after facing the public vote.
Week 3
	Daily Tasks	On Day 16, Meera was assigned by Bigg Boss to teach the housemates yoga. On Day 18, Kavin and Sandy were assigned by Bigg Boss to sing songs about the other housemates. On Day 19, Losliya was assigned by Bigg Boss to teach the housemates how to catch butterflies. Sponsored Task (Nippon Paint): On Day 19, the housemates had to go to the Activity Area and impress their palm on a frame using a paint of their favourite colour. On Day 20, Vanitha was assigned by Bigg Boss to act as a teacher to the housemates.
	Captaincy Task	On Day 14, evicted housemate Fathima Babu was granted a "special power" by Kamal Haasan to select three housemates to take part in the Week 3 captaincy task. Captaincy contenders: Abhirami, Sandy and Tharshan Captaincy Task (Maatikittaye Mannaru): On Day 15, the captaincy contenders had to tie each other's backside with a rope and move around the house. The last housemate with the rope still attached to him/her became the Week 3 House Captain. Winner: Abhirami
	Nomination	On Day 15, Bigg Boss announced the rules and each housemate were called in the confession room for the nomination. Each housemate had to nominate 2 people barring the House Captain Abhirami. Madhumitha, Meera, Mohan, Saravanan and Vanitha were nominated for the Week 3 eviction.
	Luxury Budget Task	Murder Mystery: On Day 16, the housemates were divided into two teams: Killer: Vanitha was assigned by Bigg Boss to be a killer and kill public team members to win luxury budget points. She was assigned a mobile phone by Bigg Boss who informed her through the phone on who she needs to kill. Mugen is assigned as her assistant. Vanitha must not inform anybody except Mugen on who will be killed. Public: Public team members include the rest of the housemates. They have to protect their lives from the killer to win the task. If any housemate is murdered by the killer he/she should dress up as a ghost and enter the graveyard arranged in the garden area. The other public team members must pretend that the "dead" housemates don't exist. On Day 18, two more teams were added: Police: Kavin and Meera were made as police inspector and constable respectively. Their job was to interrogate the public team members regarding the "murders". Sanyasi: Sandy was assigned by Bigg Boss to be a sanyasi who can communicate with the "ghosts" of the "murdered" housemates and assist Kavin and Meera in the investigation. Following tasks were done by Vanitha to kill public team members: Task 1 (Day 16): She had to make Sakshi wipe the make up off her face herself. She successfully did the same and killed Sakshi. Task 2 (Day 16): She had to make Mohan dance like Michael Jackson. She successfully made Mohan to dance and killed him. Task 3 (Day 17): She had to make Sherin kiss Tharshan. She successfully made Sherin kiss Tharshan on his hand and killed her. Task 4 (Day 17): She had to ask Mugen to "accidentally" spill cold coffee on Reshma. Mugen did this successfully and killed Reshma. Task 5 (Day 18): She had to steal Kavin's gun and hide it in a place where he could not find it. Vanitha and Mugen achieved this with success, killing Kavin. There was also a daily task on Day 17 which was part of the luxury budget task: Mannavanne Azhalaama, Kannire Vidalaama: Housemates who are not "killed" had to give an eulogy on the housemates who are "dead". At the end of the task, the housemates unanimously decided on the best and worst performing housemates during the task. The best performers were made as the contenders for the Week 4 House Captaincy. 	In Jail	On Day 18, Cheran and Kavin entered the Bigg Boss jail after being nominated by housemates as the worst performers of the week's luxury budget task. They were released the next day.
	Exits	On Day 21, Vanitha was evicted from the house after facing the public vote.
Week 4
	Daily Tasks	Solvadhellam Unmai: On Day 22, the housemates had to take a chit containing 2 opposite character traits, identify a housemate for each trait and explain the reason why that housemate was identified. On Day 23, Abhirami was assigned by Bigg Boss to teach the housemates how to sell fish. On Day 24, Sakshi was assigned by Bigg Boss to talk about friendship. Neeya Naana: On Day 24, the housemates were divided into 2 teams to engage in debate on the various activities in the house in the Activity Area. Meera was assigned as the debate moderator. The following day, the housemates unanimously had to decide the best performer during the task, who would be made a contender for the Week 5 House Captaincy. Team A: Abhirami, Cheran, Losliya, Madhumitha, Sakshi, Sherin and Tharshan Team B: Kavin, Mohan, Mugen, Reshma, Sandy and Saravanan Winner: Team A Best Performer: Saravanan On Day 25, Mohan was assigned by Bigg Boss to teach the housemates opera singing. Talk Show: On Day 26, a talk show was organised with Abhirami as the host. She gave a card containing a housemate name to another housemate, who had to talk about that housemate.
	Captaincy Task	On Day 18, the best performers of the Week 3 luxury budget task were made as the contenders for the Week 4 House Captaincy by Bigg Boss. Captaincy contenders: Mohan, Sakshi and Vanitha Captaincy Task: On Day 19, the captaincy contenders had to play a game of tag. Each contender had to wear a life jacket and throw a "danger" coin on each other. The housemate with the danger coin on his/her back or who withdraws from the task as soon as the buzzer rings will be eliminated from the task. Winner: Sakshi
	Nomination	On Day 22, Bigg Boss announced the rules and each housemate were called in the confession room for the nomination. Each housemate had to nominate 2 people barring the House Captain Sakshi. Abhirami, Cheran, Meera, Mohan and Saravanan were nominated for the Week 4 eviction.
	Luxury Budget Task	Tick Tick Tick: Two housemates had to stop a specific number of alarms among several clocks placed in the Activity Area within a particular time period to gain luxury budget points. Another one or two housemate(s) will cheer the other two housemates while they are doing the task. There were four rounds of this task. Round 1 (Meera and Sandy, cheered by Cheran) (Day 23): They had to stop 2 alarms among 300 clocks within 10 seconds to win 700 luxury budget points. After the time period, the luxury budget points would get reduced by 100 every ten seconds. They took 18 seconds to stop the two alarms, so they gained 600 luxury budget points. Round 2 (Mugen and Reshma, cheered by Saravanan) (Day 23): They had to stop 4 alarms among 400 clocks within 20 seconds to win 700 luxury budget points. After the time period, the luxury budget points would get reduced by 100 every ten seconds. They took 28 seconds to stop the four alarms, so they gained 600 luxury budget points. Round 3 (Abhirami and Kavin, cheered by Madhumitha and Mohan) (Day 24): They had to stop 15 alarms among 500 clocks within 30 seconds to win 700 luxury budget points. After the time period, the luxury budget points would get reduced by 100 every ten seconds. They failed to complete the task. Round 4 (Sakshi and Tharshan, cheered by Losliya and Sherin) (Day 24): They had to stop 25 alarms among 700 clocks within 45 seconds to win 700 luxury budget points. After the time period, the luxury budget points would get reduced by 100 every ten seconds. They failed to complete the task. At the end of the task, the housemates unanimously decided on the best and worst performing housemates during the task. The best performers were made as the contenders for the Week 5 House Captaincy. The worst performers had to spend the rest of the day in jail. Best Performers: Reshma and Tharshan Worst Performer: Meera
	In Jail	On Day 25, Meera was sent to the Bigg Boss jail after being nominated by housemates as the worst performer of the Week 4 luxury budget task. Sakshi was also sent to the Bigg Boss jail on Day 25 as she had violated the Bigg Boss rule by being with more than one housemate in the Smoking Area in spite of being warned by Bigg Boss. Both of them were released the next day.
	Exits	On Day 28, Mohan was evicted from the house after facing the public vote.
Week 5
	Daily Tasks	On Day 29, Madhumitha was assigned by Bigg Boss to teach the housemates how to sell vadas and samosas in a train. Paatu Paadava Paarthu Pesava: On Day 29, the housemates had to take 2 chits, one containing a song and another containing a punch dialogue and dedicate each to a particular housemate. On Day 31, Sandy was assigned by Bigg Boss to teach the housemates how to graze cattle. On Day 35, the housemates played a game where they decided whether a housemate was hero, villain or zero (neutral) and gave the reason for the same. Most votes for Hero: Cheran Most votes for Villain: Tharshan
	Captaincy Task	On Day 25, the best performers of the Week 4 luxury budget task as well as the Neeya Naana daily task were made as the contenders for the Week 5 House Captaincy by Bigg Boss. Captaincy contenders: Reshma, Saravanan and Tharshan Captaincy Task: On Day 26, the captaincy contenders with the help of some housemates had to defend a stack of cups from other housemates who threw balls to dislodge them. The contender with the maximum number of cups after the buzzer became the Week 5 House Captain. Winner: Reshma
	Nomination	On Day 29, Bigg Boss announced the rules and each housemate were called in the confession room for the nomination. Each housemate had to nominate 2 people barring the House Captain Reshma. Abhirami, Cheran, Kavin, Meera, Sakshi and Saravanan were nominated for the Week 5 eviction.
	Luxury Budget Task	Idhu Namma Aatchi: On Day 30, the housemates were divided into two teams, each team representing a rival village: Paambhupatti: Cheran (leader), Abhirami, Kavin, Mugen, Reshma, Sakshi and Sandy Keeripatti: Madhumitha (leader), Losliya, Meera, Saravanan, Sherin and Tharshan Each of the housemates were assigned a particular role and had to enact that role: Abhirami: Mugen's wife Kavin, Sakshi and Sandy: Members of Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, Sakshi was its leader. Losliya: Prankster of Keeripatti Meera: Tharshan's mother Mugen: Protector of Paambhupatti Reshma: Thief Saravanan: Country minor Sherin: Tharshan's wife Tharshan: Villager from Keeripatti Cheran and Madhumitha, as the leaders of the Paambhupatti and Keeripatti villages respectively, had to solve the problems faced by their villagers. Each village was assigned a particular area of the house: Paambhupatti: Vessel washing and washroom areas Keeripatti: Cooking and cleaning areas A member of each village, if they want to use the area controlled by the other village, need to perform a task to get access to that area. At the end of the task, the housemates unanimously decided on the best and worst performing housemates during the task. The best performers were made as the contenders for the Week 6 House Captaincy. 	In Jail	On Day 33, Abhirami and Losliya entered the Bigg Boss jail after being nominated by housemates as the worst performers of the week's luxury budget task. They were released the next night.

Week 6
	Daily Tasks	On Day 37, Mugen was assigned by Bigg Boss to teach rapping to the housemates. On Day 38, Madhumitha was assigned by Bigg Boss to teach the housemates how to fake emotions. Motta Kathathaasi: On Day 38, the housemates were asked by Bigg Boss to write 2 questions regarding the character of any 2 housemates in the house and place it in a box. Once this was done, the box was taken to the living area. A housemate will randomly pick up a question from the box and the housemate to whom the question is directed has to give an appropriate response. Sponsored Task (Centre Fresh Mr. Confident): On Day 41, the housemates were divided into 2 teams based on gender: Team Men: Mugen, Sandy and Tharshan Team Women: Abhirami, Losliya, Sakshi, Sherin and Reshma Each member of the men's team had to chew Centre Fresh chewing gum and impress a member of the women's team of their choice. Cheran, Kavin, Madhumitha and Saravanan were assigned as the judges of this task. They decided which member of the men's team most confidently impressed a women's team member and awarded him the title Centre Fresh Mr. Confident. Winner: Tharshan On Day 42, host Kamal Haasan divided the housemates into pairs. Each housemate in a pair had to imitate each other. The pairs were as follows: Abhirami and Cheran Kavin and Reshma Losliya and Sherin Madhumitha and Saravanan Mugen and Tharshan Sakshi and Sandy
	Captaincy Task	On Day 33, the best performers of the Week 5 luxury budget task were made as the contenders for the Week 6 House Captaincy by Bigg Boss. Captaincy contenders: Meera, Mugen and Tharshan Captaincy Task: On Day 34, each captaincy contender was assigned a pole to which some number of balloons are attached. They had to defend the balloons from the housemates who pricked the balloons of the contenders they don't want as House Captain. After the buzzer, the housemate who has the most number of balloons attached to his/her pole became the Week 6 House Captain. Winner: Tharshan
	Nomination	On Day 36, in the first open nomination of the season, the housemates were asked to nominate 2 housemates for eviction in front of all the other housemates with valid reason, barring the House Captain Tharshan. Abhirami, Kavin, Madhumitha, Reshma and Sakshi were nominated for the Week 6 eviction.
	Luxury Budget Task	Podu Aatam Podu: On Day 37, the housemates were asked to dress up as a particular Tamil film actor/actress and impersonate them as well. Each housemate was assigned a song associated with the actor/actress they are impersonating. When the song is played, irrespective of whatever they are doing, they have to go on the stage placed in the living area and dance to that song. If they are not able to reach the stage before the buzzer, then luxury budget points will be cut. A group song was also assigned to all the housemates to dance to. The same rules for the individual song apply to the group song as well. 	Daily Tasks	On Day 43, Sherin was assigned by Bigg Boss to teach the housemates how to talk gibberish. Sponsored Task (Airtel Thanks): On Day 43, the housemates were divided into 3 teams: Team A: Kavin, Mugen and Sandy Team B: Abhirami, Losliya and Tharshan Team C: Madhumitha, Sakshi and Sherin Each of the three teams had to memorise the Airtel Thanks plans which are put up in the Activity Area. Then, they had to recreate the same plans on a board in the Garden Area using tiles in the shortest possible time and with no or least amount of clues. Cheran and Saravanan were assigned as the judges of the task. Winner: Team B On Day 44, the housemates had to speak about a close friend who had influenced their life. On Day 45, Tharshan was assigned by Bigg Boss to explain to housemates how to survive without a mobile phone. On Day 45, the female housemates impersonated as a particular male housemate and performed a skit regarding the events involving the male housemates in the house. The best performers, who were decided by the male housemates, were given chikki as a prize. Best performers: Abhirami and Madhumitha On Day 46, Kavin was assigned by Bigg Boss to teach the housemates jumping. On Day 46, the housemates played a game in the Activity Area in which they had to push a paper ball to a wastepaper bin using a writing pad. This was done in order to engage the housemates while Kasthuri entered the house. On Day 46, the new housemate Kasthuri was granted special powers to ask a particular housemate to do the following: Abhirami: Singing a song whenever someone enters the bathroom. Kavin: Write an imposition using his nose. Madhumitha: Carry umbrella for Tharshan wherever he is going. Sakshi: Stand upside-down. Sherin: Stand on a chair and perform squats. On Day 47, Kasthuri was assigned by Bigg Boss to describe the events of the current Bigg Boss season until her arrival. Sponsored Task (RKG Ghee Gamma Gamma Manam Nalam Tharam Dinam): On Day 47, the housemates were divided into two teams: Team A: Kasthuri (master chef), Sakshi (assistant chef), Abhirami, Cheran and Losliya Team B: Tharshan (master chef), Sherin (assistant chef), Kavin, Mugen and Sandy Each team had to cook Sakkarai Pongal using RKG ghee before the time runs out. The team with the best presented and best tasting pongal won the task. Madhumitha was assigned as the judge of the task. Winner: Team B Unmaiya Solla Illa Sonnatha Sei: On Day 47, the housemates played a game of Truth or dare. Sponsored Task (Prisma Fashion Show 2019): On Day 48, the housemates divided into five teams consisting of one male and one female housemate each: Abhirami and Mugen Cheran and Madhumitha Kavin and Losliya Sakshi and Sandy Sherin and Tharshan Each team had to model and walk the ramp put up in the Activity Area with the Bigg Boss Tamil theme song playing in the background. The best male model was awarded Prisma Mr. Where Comfort Meets Style and the best female model was awarded Prisma Ms. Get Gorgeous Inside. Kasthuri was assigned as the judge of the task. Prisma Mr. Where Comfort Meets Style: Tharshan Prisma Ms. Get Gorgeous Inside: Sakshi Angels and Devils: On Day 49, the housmates played a game where they declared 1 housemate of their choice as an "angel" and another housemate also of their choice as a "devil" and give the reason for the same. When a housemate nominated another housemate as "angel", they had to place a feather crown on their head. A housemate who nominates another housemate as "devil" had to place horns on their head.
	Captaincy Task	On Day 40, the best performers of the Week 6 luxury budget task were made as the contenders for the Week 7 House Captaincy by Bigg Boss. Captaincy contenders: Madhumitha, Mugen and Sandy Captaincy Task: On Day 40, the task was to balance oneself in a pair of skis. The captaincy contenders were ordered to walk together in the same pair of skis and the one who survives without falling from the board would be declared the winner. Winner: Mugen
	Nomination	On Day 43, Bigg Boss announced the rules and each housemate were called in the confession room for the nomination. Each housemate had to nominate two people barring the House Captain Mugen. Abhirami, Losliya and Sakshi were nominated for the Week 7 eviction. Saravanan was also nominated for the Week 7 eviction, but he was ejected from the show the next day.
	Luxury Budget Task	Than Kaiyil Thanaku Udhavi: This was the luxury budget task for the week. The housemate who had the maximum number of points at the end of the task got immunity from the following week eviction. There were three rounds of this task. Round 1 (Day 44): The housemates had to go to the Garden Area at the sound of the buzzer to collect coins thrown from outside. The coins had three denominations corresponding to points: Twenty, Fifty and Hundred. The housemates not only had to collect coins so that they get maximum points, they had to defend their coins from the other housemates. Round 1 leaders: Sandy (1060 points) Saravanan (840 points) Tharshan (810 points) Round 2 (Venaam Machan Venaam) (Day 45): The housemates were divided into five teams of two members each. The teams were: Team Pink: Abhirami and Madhumitha Team Yellow: Losliya and Sakshi Team Blue: Cheran and Kavin Team Red: Sandy and Tharshan Team Black: Mugen and Sherin All the five teams had to play a game of tag against each other. They had to wear a life jacket and throw a "killer" coin on each other. There were three rounds of this task. A buzzer marks the start and end of each round. At the end of the first and second round, the team whose member had the killer coin had to start the next round. If a housemate had the coin at the end of the third round, then both he/she and his/her team member lost 50 points which they accumulated in the first round. Losing Team: Team Blue Round 2 leaders: Sandy (1060 points) Tharshan (810 points) Madhumitha (430 points) Round 3 (Ellame Vidhi) (Day 45): The housemates had to take a coin from the bottom of a bowl containing red liquid. One coin was blank. The other coins contained a question involving adding or removing the points accumulated from the previous two rounds to/from another housemate. The housemates decided which housemate they want to give/take points. At the end of the luxury budget task, the top three were as follows: Winner: Sakshi (610 points) Runner-Up: Abhirami (600 points) Third Place: Madhumitha (490 points) As Sakshi won the luxury budget task, she was granted immunity from the following week eviction process. Despite this, she was evicted at the end of the week. On Day 46, the housemates also unanimously decided the best performing housemates of the luxury budget task who would be the contenders for the Week 8 Captaincy. 	Daily Tasks	Sabash, Sariyana Poti: On Day 53, the housemates divided into 2 teams based on their gender and debated in the Activity Area on the various aspects in the Bigg Boss House in which men or women were better. Team Men: Cheran, Kavin, Mugen, Sandy and Tharshan Team Women: Abhirami, Kasthuri, Losliya, Madhumitha, Sherin and Vanitha Sponsored Task (Helo app): On Day 54, the housemates nominated another housemate of their choice to speak a message in front of the camera. The message spoken by the housemate should be creative and witty. This message will be published in the housemate's official Helo App page. Cheran was assigned as the judge of the task. The winner of the task (most imaginative and creative message) was given Brookside Chocolate as a prize. Winner: Abhirami Sponsored Task (Hershey's Kisses): On Day 55, the housemates were divided into 3 teams. Each team chose a particular flavour of Hershey's Kisses Chocolate: Team Milk Chocolate: Abhirami, Sherin and Vanitha Team Cookies and Cream: Cheran, Kasthuri and Losliya Team Almonds: Kavin, Mugen and Tharshan Two members of each team, with their hands tied by their wrists, had to take the Hershey's Kisses chocolates of the flavour they chose from a box and trace the word assigned to them with the chocolates collected and without any gaps between the chocolates, before the buzzer is sounded. The third housemate will cheer the other two housemates. The words assigned to each team are as follows: Team Milk Chocolate: Sharing Team Cookies and Cream: Loving Team Almonds: Caring Sandy was assigned as the judge of the task. Winner: Team Milk Chocolate
	Captaincy Task	On Day 46, the best performers of the Week 7 luxury budget task were made as the contenders for the Week 8 House Captaincy by Kasthuri, who asked them to explain why they want to be captain and what they would do if they were made captain. If she is not satisifed with the response of at least one contender, she can replace him/her with another housemate. Captaincy contenders: Cheran, Losliya and Sandy Captaincy Task: On Day 47, the captaincy contenders had to paint a canvas put up in the Garden Area using a colour of their choice. Cheran: Red Losliya: Blue Sandy: Green Kasthuri was assigned as the judge of the task. The contender who had the most paint on the canvas was assigned as the Week 8 House Captain. Winner: Sandy
	Nomination	On Day 50, Bigg Boss announced the rules and each housemate were called in the confession room for the nomination. Each housemate had to nominate two people barring the House Captain Sandy. Kasthuri was granted immunity from nominations, being the new housemate. Abhirami, Kavin, Losliya, Madhumitha and Mugen were nominated for the Week 8 eviction.
	Luxury Budget Task	Bigg Boss Hotel: This was the luxury budget task for the week. In this task, the housemates had to act as hotel staff and entertain the guest, who is none other than Vanitha Vijayakumar, who had been evicted earlier in the season and had re-entered the house as a wildcard entrant. On Day 50, the housemates were assigned various roles as follows: Abhirami, Kasthuri and Tharshan: Room Service Cheran: Hotel Manager Kavin and Sandy: Housekeeping Losliya and Mugen: Entertainers Madhumitha: Chef Sherin: Spa worker Depending on how Vanitha rated the hotel service, the luxury budget points was added or removed. As Vanitha was "satisfied" with the service, luxury budget points were added. At the end of the task on Day 52, the housemates unanimously decided on the best and worst performing housemates during the task. The best performers were made as the contenders for the Week 9 House Captaincy. The worst performers had to spend the rest of the day in jail. 	In Jail	On Day 52, Abhirami and Kasthuri entered the Bigg Boss jail after being nominated by housemates as the worst performers of the week's luxury budget task. They were released the next day.
	Exits	On Day 54, Madhumitha left the show with special permission as she had indulged in self harm by cutting her hand as a result of a fight between her and the rest of the housemates except Cheran and Kasthuri. On Day 56, Abhirami was evicted from the house after facing the public vote.

	Daily Tasks
	Captaincy Task	On Day 52, the best performers of the Week 8 luxury budget task were made as the contenders for the Week 9 House Captaincy by Bigg Boss. Captaincy contenders: Madhumitha, Sherin and Tharshan Captaincy Task: On Day 54, the captaincy contenders had to take letters corresponding to the word 'CAPTAIN' from a box blindfolded and attach the letter to the corresponding space on a board which reads 'CAPTAIN'. Each contender was assigned a letter of a particular colour: Madhumitha: Blue Sherin: Red Tharshan: Green The contender who created the 'CAPTAIN' on their board with their colour first became the Week 9 House Captain. Winner: Madhumitha However, as Madhumitha was ejected from the show later that night, the House Captain position became vacant. Therefore, on Day 56, host Kamal Haasan asked the housemates to choose among the losing captaincy contenders for the Week 9 House Captaincy to replace Madhumitha as House Captain. 	Luxury Budget Task	Amma Naan Poitu Varen: In the Week 9 luxury budget task, the Bigg Boss house turned into a kindergarten school with the housemates acting as students or teachers. On Day 58, the housemates were assigned various roles: Cheran: School principal Kasthuri: Kindergarten teacher Rest of the housemates: Students Each of the housemates had to dress up and act as per their role. As part of this task, on Day 58, the housemates had to relieve a memorable experience of their school life.
