- Comment: Hi, my request for a history merge of the draft and the redirected mainspace version was turned down due to WP:PARALLEL so I suggest following the advice of moving the redirect to an alternate disambiguation, preserving its history and leaving a note about it in the edit history and talk page of this page and the redirect. If there are no objections i'll do so tomorrow, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 22:38, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: If hesitant to request the redirect be deleted, a couple options to preserve history:*Move redirect to an alternate disambiguation (e.g. Legion of Super-Heroes (2023 film) or Legion of Super-Heroes (Tomorrowverse))*Page swap and preserve history in Draft space-2pou (talk) 22:20, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: Hi, i've checked the redirect and there was no discussion and this version is a significant improvement as the redirected version had no references which is the main reason it was redirected. I'll look into requesting a history merge of the two pages tomorrow, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 21:40, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: This draft is for a title that was previously an article, but was then cut down to a redirect. If this draft is accepted, the history should be preserved. Do not tag the redirect for G6. Reviewers should check the history and verify whether there was a consensus to cut the article down to a redirect, or whether the action was taken boldly without discussion. If there was a consensus for the cutdown, do not accept this draft without verifying that the draft improves the article or that consensus has changed. If in doubt, please discuss. - Comment: Hi, please add a reception section giving details of reviews of the film in reliable sources with each review individually referenced. Atlantic306 (talk) 22:31, 2 March 2023 (UTC)
- There wasn't any discussion. @Onel5969 has narrowed it down to a redirect: "Zero sources no indication of notability". 5.22.135.85 (talk) 15:33, 5 March 2023 (UTC)

Production
Development
The idea of a Legion of Superheroes film was conceived by Butch Lukic and Jim Krieg, whp wanted to incorporate both Supergirl and the team into the Tomorrowverse.[3][4] Lukic hired Jeff Wamester as director due to their previous collaboration in Justice Society: World War II (2021).[4]
Speculation of a Legion Of Super-Heroes film began in June 2022 when the Motion Picture Association gave a PG-13 rating to an unannounced film.[5] The film was confirmed by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment the next month at the San Diego Comic-Con after the premier of Green Lantern: Beware My Power.[6] The film is the first DC animated film to be released by DC Studios, which took over development on all DC projects in November 2022.[7]
Casting
In October 2022, the voice cast of the film was revealed, featuring Meg Donnelly as Supergirl, Harry Shum Jr. as Brainiac 5, Cynthia Hamidi as Dawnstar, Gideon Adlon as Phantom Girl, Ely Henry as Bouncing Boy, Robbie Daymond as Timber Wolf and Brainiac 4, Yuri Lowenthal as Mon-El, Eric Lopez as Cosmic Boy and Chemical King, Darin De Paul as Brainiac and Solomon Grundy, Benjamin Diskin as Arm-Fall-Off-Boy and Brainiac 2, Victoria Grace as Shadow Lass, Jennifer Hale as Alura, Daisy Lightfoot as Triplicate Girl, and Zeno Robinson as Invisible Kid and Brainiac 3. Darren Criss, Matt Bomer, and Jensen Ackles were also announced to be reprising their roles from previous DC films as Superman, Flash, and Batman, respectively.[1]
Donelly was cast as Supergirl after voice director Wes Gleason showed Lukic footage of her previous work.[4] Robinson was allowed to improvise many of his lines during recording. He also wanted to develop his own take on Invisible Boy, as the film marked his first appearance in media outside of comics.[8]
Release
A trailer for the film was released on November 16, 2022, and on the following day its release date was announced for February 7, 2023.[2] Legion of Super-Heroes was released on home media on DVD, Blu-ray, 4K, and video on demand on February 7, 2023.[9]
Reception
Sam Stone of Comic Book Resources wrote: "Though the movie could up the ante on some of its major set pieces, it does get to the heart of what makes the Legion tick".[10]
Brian Costello of Common Sense Media described the film as "a pretty standard but enjoyable superhero animated action movie".[11]
