Minapur Assembly constituency is an assembly constituency in Muzaffarpur district in the Indian state of Bihar.

Overview

As per Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies Order, 2008, No. 90 Minapur Assembly constituency is composed of the following: Minapur community development block; Garha, Jhaphan, Kafen Chaudhary, Narkatiya, Narma, Patiyasa and Rampur Jaipal gram panchayats of Bochahan CD Block.[1]

Minapur Assembly constituency is part of No. 16 Vaishali (Lok Sabha constituency).[1]

Traditionally Many Ahirs Or Yadavs Of This Region Are Cultivators and Cow Herders But Few Ahir Families Are Extremely Wealthy Class Who Performs Many Kshatriya Rituals Like Shastra Pujan Or Wearing Janeu. The Ahir Rais Of Gosaipur Village Owns A Large Estate In Modern Day Minapur Region Near Muzzafarpur.Gosaipur Was One Of The Finest Zamindari Having History Of 350 Years. This Family Claim it's Migration From Nepal And Lineage From Abhira Yadava Dynasty Of Nepal. They Worship Chhinmastika Maa As Caste Diety Or Kuldevi Same As The Ahir Yadav Kings Of Nepal.
