False Positive 654766

Cluebot objected to an alteration I made to the List of Rice University Residential Colleges. The current format is full of uncited information taken from other wikipedia pages. Therefore, I replaced this content with a list-like format. Seeing as this page is supposed to be a list anyway, it seems like the correct change. MySQL ID: 654766

The world's authority on small wild cats, Jim Sanderson states the proper name is "Andean Cat". system asked if I wanted to move Usertalk: Andean Mountain Cat to Usertalk: Andean Cat. I said yes. Criterion of multiple attestation

Hello,

I would like to report that revert 350003 is a false positive. I suspect that this accusation is being inappropriately assigned to all users of my school's LAN. I performed no such edits on any of the aforementioned subject, nor do I have any idea as to why these messages are showing up on my account. I would suggest the usage of unique tracking cookies to help differentiate IP's from the same network and to screen out ID hackers/clones.

False positive error

I wanted to report ClueBot ID 496140 as a false-positive but I got a mySQL error. I wouldn't term the user's edits "unconstructive". There's been heated debate on whether to use the name Bengaluru or Bangalore to describe the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka. All the user did, it appears, is redirect the latter article to the former, possibly indicating his preference. Guilty of not building consensus on edits, perhaps, but not guilty of making edits that are not constructive. Thanks AreJay (talk) 00:57, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

False Positive

The site is titled Run (Snow Patrol song) and not Leona Lewis Advertising support. For Lewis' cover-song was created an own site called Run (Leona Lewis cover). The user Adi39 feeds the site constantly with Leona-Lewis-Advertising about her new single, a cover of "Run". That's pure marketing of Lewis' new single, but is contrasted to the original site, even with its title "Run (Snow Patrol song) and not neutrally wiki-editing more. The reason, why I made his renewed Leona Lewis Advertising undone.

==501149 False Positive. The link to report the false positive still does not work. I was going through the process of restoring vandalized material, which had been done by removing material at one location and creating a new Wikipedia entry which contained the material put forth by one individual. The overall effect was vandalism--material deleted without justification. This is discussed in the talk section of Wikipedia MIA (Missing in Action). The material needs to be worked out at Wikipedia MIA BEFORE creating new entries so that one individual cannot do an entire rewrite of what was worked out through compromise ToTheCircus (talk) 01:04, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

kriegerdwm (Removal of 2300 days in the Abomination of Desolation)

The editing out of the 2300 days as part of the Abomination of Desolation material was, as far as I can ascertain, egregious and delimits the argument considerably. This material does not fit the Day-year principle because the editor of the article has so requested it - if, then, it doesn't fit into that issue - and is considered superfluous by some here - then, pray tell, where does it fit? I humbly submit it fits into the Abomination of Desolation as a logical and spiritual centerpiece regarding this most salient interpretation!

Vandalism claim on Chuck Jones--ID 646233

Cluebot reverted edits by IP 208.127.115.121 on the article Chuck Jones and called them vandalism, ID 646233. All the IP did was make Wikilinks of several titles of Jones-directed-and/or-produced cartoon shorts (not redundantly overlinked, either). However, when I attempted to follow the directions to report the false positive, clicking on "Click here" got me a generic "cannot display the webpage" error notice. Others have reported the same problem (a false positive and the report process failing to operate) as much as several months back, with no responses in evidence. What gives? --Ted Watson (talk) 21:52, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Instead of reverting the blanking of pages that had [[Category:Living people]], (or {{Lifetime|foo||bar}} with nothing between the 2nd and 3rd pipe) it may be better to leave them blanked because the blanking is often to remove libel or unsourced nonsense.
