This is a list of environmental organizations.

Intergovernmental organizations

There are also environmental intergovernmental organizations that group governments at the regional and local level, as distinguishable from the national level. Examples are the network of regional governments for sustainable development [1], the ICLEI-Local governments for sustainability [2] and the Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia (PEMSEA) [3]. These organizations use the method of open coordination to share policy best practice and provide assistance and counsel to partners on issues related to environmental development following the UN Millennium Agenda. These networks can be seen as international organisations and have observer status in the different UN environmental organizations.

Hariyali is an organization set up for the protection and improving of environmental conditions. Main areas of its activities are large-scale plantation, more particularly, on denuded forest land, water harvesting and conservation and generating environmental awareness. It carries out most of its activities through the "Shramdaan" (voluntary labour) of students, employees from corporate sector and nature lovers. MECC 

Mongolian environmental civil council was established from the 1st meeting of Mongolian environmental NGOs, it is an organization that united all Mongolian  environmental NGOs on a voluntary basis and aimed to coordinate activities of some government duties regarding environmental protection and restoration that are going to be implemented by other than government.

Priority Stop Mongolian environmental degradation and leave a healthy, unspoiled natural world to our next generation.

Purpose MECC is working on coordinating cooperation of Environmental NGOs, improving their knowledge and capacity and beginning to work with governmental and international organizations within the frame of Mongolian environmental protection work.
