    Problem with bot

A bot tagged a image here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Seven_Sages_of_Greece.jpg now after the bot resized the image, considers it not free, and states it will be deleted because it is not used in an article. However, the image is still used in article space, and it is unclear why after resize it should be suddenly unfree.... prokaryotes (talk) 00:12, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It's not saying the current version will be deleted: only the previous version, as that is not being used in any article. Adam9007 (talk) 00:16, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yeah, just noticed this, a bit confusing. prokaryotes (talk) 00:25, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Prokaryotes, I've reverted the bot. In cases like this, where the text itself is the only copyrightable element (it's just a lot of characters, not some original image), the resolution doesn't matter for copyright purposes; if reduction is necessary, the proper approach is cropping to get rid of some of the text. Nyttend (talk) 05:09, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Maproom and Prokaryotes: Well, all that is all nice and fun, but if the author is Arthur Surridge Hunt as claimed by the file info, he died in 1934 (and 2017 > 1934 + 70, the UK being a 70years post mortem autoris country). Putting aside the original copyright of whoever wrote the fragment in ancient Greek (...) it would mean the file itself is free, cropping or not. This seems to be what the original complaint was about.
My money is that for some reason the image was tagged as non-free (I am not going to bother looking at the page history to know what happened) and then a bot decided that its resolution should be reduced (not that the bot decided on its own to reduce resolution and un-free the image). TigraanClick here to contact me 11:42, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Tigraan, the someone was Prokaryotes; here is the original revision of the page, as it was when Prokaryotes uploaded it. Nyttend (talk) 11:47, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • However, this is a page from a compilation first published in 1941 and republished (and possibly re-edited) in 1959. Editors have a copyright in the collection as a whole (selection, composition, layout) and in any substantive ("creative") modifications. I think the assumption that there is no post-Hunt copyrightable material here is reasonable, but it is hard to prove. Ideally, we would find a work by Hunt himself that includes this passage. -Arch dude (talk) 15:23, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Ugh. Well, that serves me well for trying to touch a copyright issue. Feel free to revert me, I will leave that to wiser people. TigraanClick here to contact me 15:36, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • I'm not competent to do it, but it would be better to find Hunt's original of this, which is somewhere in the 14 volumes of Oxyrhynchus Papyri that he and a co-author published in 1904, and reference it directly. Those are out of copyright and are available on-line. In my opinion there is no value in using an image of a page of a 1959 book (or even of a 1904 book) that contains only typecast English words: a referenced quote is better. However, Hunt's work also contains some plates of the actual Papyri, so you may get lucky and find this particular Papyrus fragment there, and that would certainly be a good image for us. (Fun fact: "papyri" is the plural of "papyrus". the things you learn while editing the help desk). -Arch dude (talk) 16:16, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you are interested - there is a HUGE picture of James Martineau half way down on his page. Should it be made smaller? I cannot do this myself - Thanks 139.216.210.155 (talk) 00:57, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Gnostic Gospels

Why is the talk page of the category showing up in the category at Category:Gnostic Gospels. --RAN (talk) 01:50, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    • This is a mess. The category talk page has a bunch of project templates. These templates are intended for use in article talk pages. Unfortunately, they are adding the talk pages including this one to categories. I'm not sure how (or if) this should be corrected. -Arch dude (talk) 03:27, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • I deleted both pages. After waiting some minutes, I undeleted the category and then created the talk page anew with the same contents. It's fine at the moment; let's see if "fine" persists. Nyttend (talk) 11:50, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How to Increase size of font. I cant read Wikipedia as font writing to small. Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Advent59 (talkcontribs) 02:20, 20 October 2017 (UTC) [reply]

    • The font size is controlled by your browser. Look at your browser's help text, or do a web search : e.g., google for "chrome font size" or "firefox font size" or "ie font size". -Arch dude (talk) 03:18, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Advent59: Some users accidentally change their browser font size, e.g. by holding down Ctrl while scrolling on the mouse. In many browsers, Ctrl++ zooms in, Ctrl+- zooms out, and Ctrl+0 resets. PrimeHunter (talk) 18:12, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    About.com as a source

Is about.com a reliable source for a Wikipedia article? This article has it as its only source, and I'm not sure if it counts. Thanks. Antrogh (talk) 03:02, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    • Antrogh, who are Stan & Debbie Hauter, and who reviewed their work? Remember that this website, which publishes on a ton of sources, cannot be a specialist in all of them, and if they hired lots of specialists (as a professional encyclopedia's editorial board does), they'd be attributed. Lacking any evidence of the first, and having evidence against the second, we have to conclude that it's not a reliable source. Nyttend (talk) 11:53, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Geisslerlieder

The article Geisslerlieder, basically is about songs. However it is totally skewed without giving any references on most parts. Should this be nominated for AFD? prokaryotes (talk) 01:49, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article has general references - not specific ones - see Wikipedia:Inline citation. You could ask for in-line citations using Template:More footnotes. It would have been better to ask this at WP:Help Desk. Rmhermen (talk) 01:58, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    (1) Skewed in what way? (2) AfD's under what policy? It doesn't have, and should have, footnotes, but it does cite two apparently legitimate sources. Beyond My Ken (talk) 02:01, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
BTW, these are not really questions for AN. Beyond My Ken (talk) 02:01, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. So far when i looked at the two cites they were about music in general. prokaryotes (talk) 12:58, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Cannot create a Wiki article

I would like to create a much needed Wiki article on dual citizenship in Lithuania. Here is the issue: I cannot in any way get passed "Before you create an article" page (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:New_user_landing_page&page=Dual+citizenship+in+Lithuania). I've tried seemingly everything. I am familiar with referencing, notability, archiving and so on. While I do not know everything about Wiki, no "rookie course" is necessary as my German account has created 100+ Wiki articles.Istorijos.archyvas (talk) 08:42, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean by not being able to get past the page you linked? It's unclear what your specific problem is. Tell us what things you have tried so that we can understand what your problem is. - X201 (talk) 08:47, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Also: You haven't got a German account under that account name. You only need one account for all Wikipedia sites now, you can use your German one here.- X201 (talk) 08:50, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Istorijos.archyvas: You can create articles in mainspace at the English Wikipedia when your account is four days old and has ten edits. You passed four days an hour ago and have seven edits so just make three more edits anywhere at en.wikipedia.org. PrimeHunter (talk) 14:56, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Where are the instructions for making a notice appear whenever someone attempts to edit a page?

Where are the instructions for making a notice appear whenever someone attempts to edit a page?

What I want to do is to make it so that whenever someone tries to edit List of Subaru engines they get a big notice saying "Stop! If you are about to add information on the engine codes EZ30R, EZ36R, EJ20T or EJ20TT, STOP NOW! Those engines do not exist. Someone put some false information on the Internet and it has spread to multiple site that are too lazy to check the official Subaru sources."

    @Guy Macon: You are looking for Wikipedia:Editnotice. -- John of Reading (talk) 10:14, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Guy Macon: That sounds to me like overkill. Would it not be better to create a new section ('Apocryphal engines', perhaps?) in the article detailing these facts (with an appropriate citation or two, of course)? {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 90.211.128.226 (talk) 10:22, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Most likely there are no sources for "engine XXX does not exist". But this looks like a good case for a WP:COMMENT. TigraanClick here to contact me 11:33, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Alas, the false information gets inserted in random places in the article, so a comment is of little use.
I just tried putting in an edit notice[1][2] but it displayed when I read the page, not when I opened an edit window. Could someone take a look and see what I did wrong? Wikipedia:Editnotice#Other namespaces says "Editnotices for other namespaces and for user subpages can be created and edited only by admins and template editors" so I was expecting an error message about not having the proper permissions. -Guy Macon (talk) 18:32, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It has to be created at Template:Editnotices/Page/List of Subaru engines. Only admins and template editors can edit there. PrimeHunter (talk) 19:38, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me, but what exactly is meant by that term here? And can one still give a vote on that issue?--Cleph (talk) 13:39, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A section header created so that those who respond don't have to load *all* previous responses into their edit window. And definitely. And I'm not sure that VPP is the place for such a significant vote, but I'm not sure what is the place. I've already voted to Keep the RD.Naraht (talk) 13:47, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    Thank you very much! Best regards--Cleph (talk) 13:49, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I will opine here that 'Break for editing' and 'Arbitrary break' and other such headings are the epitome of poorly chosen names. These section headings are included in watch lists and article histories but, in the context of these lists, give no indication of the discussion's subject. I urge anyone who is adding these kinds of section headings to choose a name that reflects the topic of the discussion.

    Album Art Help

I'm a beginner to editing and creating Wikipedia articles, so please go easy on me. When I insert the link to an album art image on the album info template, it doesn't appear. Why is that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Justus et peccator (talkcontribs) 17:19, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I presume you are referring to User:Justus et peccator/sandbox, where you are trying to link the infobox template to an external image. The Template:Infobox album gives instructions for the "cover" parameter: Upload a copy of the album cover (under fair use). The image will display in the infobox in its real size, capped by the value of the user's "Thumbnail size" parameter in his or her appearance preferences. I hope this helps. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 18:27, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • As Eggishorn said, you must upload an image. But uploading an image is a daunting task for a new editor. Please do not get discouraged. We try to make it as easy as possible, but we also take copyright law very seriously, and this forces us to ask a bunch of complicated questions. -Arch dude (talk) 00:03, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Bear in mind that non-free fair use images can be used only in article namespace, not in a draft in userspace. --David Biddulph (talk) 04:10, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure where the disputed claim is made, but likely something related to Nation of Islam. Muhammad Speaks and The Final Call were founded by Malcolm X and Louis Farrakhan respectively, so it's probably something about being the first official publication of Nation of Islam. Hide page HotCat categorisation in my watchlist

I already have page categorisation checked in my watchlist "hide" options. However, I continue to see categorisations made by the HotCat gadget. Is there any way to hide these as well? Thanks.—Cpt.a.haddock (talk) (please ping when replying) 20:09, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Cpt.a.haddock: "Hide categorization of pages" only affects category pages you are watching. It hides pages being added to or removed from the category. There is no feature to hide categories being added to a page you are watching. For the specific case of HotCat, I guess a user script could be written (not by me) to look for "using HotCat" in the edit summary and hide the edit after the watchlist has loaded. PrimeHunter (talk) 23:33, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@PrimeHunter: Thank you. I suppose the other thing that could be done is to get the HotCat script to mark its edits as minor (by default).—Cpt.a.haddock (talk) (please ping when replying) 09:52, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Correction to Telaga Caste page. Not interesting information to read and understand

Kindly refer to the Kapu/Telaga/Balija community portal to add relevant content. Also, add a status column that they are classified as forward caste as of 2017. • Hello. Your first source is a primary source. Your second source looks good. It mentions that the caste is attempting to get backward status. I've edited the article as per the source. Hope it looks more appropriate now. Thanks. Lourdes 14:46, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, now a days every caste is trying to request government to classify them as backward inorder to attain employment and educational benefits unlike for economically deprived. Also, Telaga caste page looks very dull and no relevant content to read about history. If possible try adding from this link - http://www.aitelagakapubalijasangham.com/sub-castes/. Also, mention they are forward caste http://kshatriyastherulers.blogspot.com/2012/11/castes-in-india.html Telaga, Kapu, Balija, Naidu are classified as Forward Caste in Andhra Pradesh as of 2016. Formatting

I need help with formatting. Specifically, I want to know how to format a reference when I am citing something by an unknown or anonymous author (this is an issue for me because I am adding content from EBSCO, which sometimes does not provide author names). I am using sfn references, visible for example in the articles on Virtual Equality and Sexual Desire (book). You can see what I have done in this edit, but I am assuming that isn't the correct way of handling it and want to fix things. FreeKnowledgeCreator (talk) 05:15, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@FreeKnowledgeCreator: There's some help on this at Template:Sfn#No author name in citation template. The "Popular Magazine" example seems to be just what you need. -- John of Reading (talk) 06:55, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
OK thank you. I have to admit I'm not actually sure how to follow that example, however. FreeKnowledgeCreator (talk) 07:01, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@FreeKnowledgeCreator: I've made a couple of edits. The remaining inconsistency is that "Beckworth 1995" isn't listed in the bibliography. The script User:Gadget850/HarvErrors.js is great for drawing attention to this kind of error. -- John of Reading (talk) 07:34, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Tyrique Jarrett

I don't know where to go to ask someone to propose an article for deletion. I came across the article for football player Tyrique Jarrett and it seems clear that he doesn't qualify for notability. He was not drafted in the 2017 NFL Draft, is currently on the practice squad of a team, and has never played in a game. WP:NGRIDIRON says playing in at least one regular or postseason game is required to establish notability. He played on a college team but, per WP:NCOLLATH, he's clearly not notable for that. The only sources in the article are mostly just some general roster listings and media guides from his college and NFL teams. I know there are a bunch of different reasons and ways to propose deleting an article but I have no idea which route is best, and the process is too complex for me to do anyway. I thought maybe I should ask about his at a particular board but I didn't know if it should be one with expertise about the NFL, sports in general, BLPs, or some other place. I just want someone to look at the article to see if they agree this person is not notable and then propose it for deletion if they agree with me. 2605:A000:FFC0:D8:E8B0:35F4:5401:1C0D (talk) 00:25, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Please help

    Dear Sir/Madam.

I want to add if possible an article as short biography about an official person who was deputy of chef commander at Intelegence department in Iranian Pahlavi's Imperial Army Royal Guard before 1979. That is important for Iran's contemporary history to have name and information about important persons like that as records. I'm sure there is no any article about him available right now on internet cause he was classified in Pahlavi's regime and he was seriousley under hard political pressure after 1979 cause the current political regime. I'm a computer programmer and an IT professional expert guy. Your website is very useful encyclopedia as well and it's best one right now and i can understand your policies to try to keep most information and articles as verified correct information on your website. Of course i saw wrong and incorrect information in persian and english about Iranian (Persian) culture and history on your web site too. Honestly the required stpes and procedures to publish and upload a new article in your website technically is not anymore user friendly and it's very difficult as well as to won a difficult pc game final stage so honestly again I have not that time to spend long-term on your website as editor to could create just a new article so please help me about that to add new real article on your encyclopedia. I'm able to verify that person indentification because he is my father. He died at june 2016 so he is not still classified or under current Iranian regime's pressure individually. I'm the resource and i could give you my information for that but i can not provide my name in that page because my family currently security and safety in Iran. I will be appreciate for your help.

Is the article that you wish to create about Major Mohammad Ali Mahanloo?. You could request an article at WP:Requested articles, or create a draft at Draft:Major Mohammad Ali Mahanloo, but if the subject has not yet been mentioned in the press or other independent published sources, then it is too early for an article in Wikipedia. Archive Talk Page

I am trying to archive my Talk page with a script for it to Archive for the first time and then regularly; I put this on my Talk page but it does not seem to be working. Can somebody help me fix it so it will occur on whatever frequency basis would make most sense? Many thanks in advance. FULBERT (talk) 19:44, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you look at your user talk page history, you will see that it was archived to User talk:FULBERT/Archive 33, which is what you told the bot to do. It is not clear why you asked for that rather than User talk:FULBERT/Archive 1. --David Biddulph (talk) 19:49, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure how I did that; thanks David Biddulph. FULBERT (talk) 01:30, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
For a similar problem recently you may wish to look at WP:Teahouse/Questions/Archive 681#Archive box. --David Biddulph (talk) 19:54, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the reference; useful to read more about this, David Biddulph. Always more for me to learn!! FULBERT (talk) 01:30, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
FULBERT I've fixed it, the Archive now starts at 1. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 19:56, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Dodger67 for the help fixing it! Will this continue to archive on its own? FULBERT (talk) 01:30, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
FULBERT yes, it's all set now, the bot will come around periodically and follow the instructions. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 09:16, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    Thanks Dodger67! FULBERT (talk) 09:47, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

'TRNC' 'Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus'

    Dear Wikipedia,

this article is technically wrong since a turkish repubilic in 'Northern' Cyprus is not recognised by any country other than Turkey. 'Northern' Cyprus is officially called occupied land, as the Turkish army invaded Cyrpus in 1974. Please read on some history, before publishing factually incorrect articles. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C4:6CA9:4701:A830:9417:D460:9C89 (talk) 19:53, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I see nothing factually incorrect in the article. The first paragraph says "a self-declared state .... Recognised only by Turkey, Northern Cyprus is considered by the international community to be part of the Republic of Cyprus." Maproom (talk) 20:12, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki data supporters/managers appear to use their power of political opinion

I have added a reference and details of public statements from Khizr Khan and they have been removed and ignored as "my opinion" even though I have left reference transcripts from the Internet to back the details about Khan. At least one person with power has muted these reference materials as "my opinion" in a chat session. Does Wiki have any viability if personal public statements are included in a person's Wiki history? — Preceding unsigned comment added by UGAWise (talkcontribs) 19:55, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is a community of editors. Consensus should be obtained on the talk page of the article. There are no persons with power who mute referenced statements here, but in this case there seems to be a disagreement over interpretation of the reference. I have no opinion either way on this topic, so will not contribute. Wikipedia considers it important to present a balanced view. Dbfirs 08:39, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Lately I've been having a problem with IP editors vandalizing the article on Google Chrome version history. Lately, on October 18, 2.24.16.251 and 72.69.116.88 vandalized the page with these three edits, but I had to undo the vandalism to keep it safe. But then, today, 2.24.26.129 posted two claims that I vandalized the page by "removing all info about Chrome 62 Stable" (which I did not do!), but I had to remove the lies the IP editor made about me. Now I'm very worried. What shall I do to keep the Google Chrome version history article safe from IP editor vandalism? I feel like I'm being threatened here! --Angeldeb82 (talk) 22:24, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The place for discussing the problem is at Talk:Google Chrome version history, so I have reverted your deletion of the message which the IP left there. You are not, in general, permitted to remove another user's contributions to a talk page, see WP:TPO. The IP added information with references so it is not clear why you referred to the addition as vandalism. Remember that the Wikipedia definition of the term is at WP:Vandalism. At the talk page you can explain why you consider the IP's edits to have been vandalism, and other editors can consider your response. --David Biddulph (talk) 22:45, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Biased article

I have detected a biased article here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CEX.IO_Bitcoin_Exchange The article contains doubtful information that isn't proved by factual data. I have already tried to undo the edits but the user reverts them back.Wikiwarriorangel (talk) 10:31, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Wikiwarriorangel: I have restored the page to the last good version (AFAICT) before all the edit-warring. I have also left a welcome / warning at the other editor's talk page. Please do not continue to 'back and forth' with edits at the page. This is known as edit warring and can lead to loss of privileges irrespective of the merits of the edits. Try to engage with the other editor per WP:BRD to reach an agreement. Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 10:51, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You haven't actually asked a question, but if this is related to your two drafts, Draft:Al Imran ft and User:Alimranft6466/sandbox, neither of them stands any chance of being accepted by a reviewer because neither has any references to satisfy the requirement for verifiability or to demonstrate notability. Also, neither is written in coherent English, so you may be better off editing in a Wikipedia in your native language. --David Biddulph (talk) 15:37, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Page: "Larry Warren (Rendlesham)"

Dear Wikipedia. I am trying to access this page. It used to be there, but whenever I do now I am redirected to another page, this one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rendlesham_Forest_incident Why is this? Best wishes Ben — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.139.70.236 (talk) 15:06, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, the page was nominated for deletion and subsequently re-directed to Rendlesham Forest incident as a result of the discussion which you can read at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Larry Warren (Rendlesham). Please sign your posts at talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~). Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 15:20, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
In what way was Larry Warren (Rendlesham) relevant to Rendlesham Forest incident? The latter includes no mention of the word "Warren". If you don't know, perhaps an admin who can see the deleted page can answer? --David Biddulph (talk) 15:31, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
it's not entirely clear how he is (or was) relevant. Old versions of the Larry Warren (Rendlesham) talk page indicate that he was seen in the area at the time of the incident and was possibly a witness, but that information was sketchy at best, lacked notability and was poorly sourced. I've never seen the page before, I just searched, found the redirect and then the AfD. Eagleash (talk) 15:55, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Using harvnb

I just tried to add a citation to Conic section, which uses the harvnb template. I tried to enter the reference itself and the inline citation the way it looks like other entries are done, but I can’t get it to click down to the bibliography. What am I doing wrong? Help:Cite errors/Cite error references missing key

This refers to article I just edited, titled "Daughter of Dr. Jekyll." I got 2 messages: (1) Cite error: A list-defined reference called "Weaver2000" is not used in the content (2) Cite error: A list-defined reference called "Rhodes2008" is not used in the content." I looked at the Help Page but instructions are not for Visual Editor, so I have no idea what to do. If it helps, error (1) is the result of me deleting a reference that cited books.google as the source and using the book itself and (2) is the result of me deleting an incorrect reference, also from books.google, and replacing it with a correct reference.

How to get an article published

I was approached by a contributor who offered to publish a Wikipedia article about my business. Is this allowed under your terms of service? While I'd like an article published, I don't want to pay for something if it's just going to be taken down after it's put up. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.190.246.179 (talk) 17:56, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Very wise to question this . A paid editor can often get an article published – take the money and run before it the article gets deleted. Out of interest, how much was he asking. The going price appears to be about $270 and upwards. As a rule of thumb – if your business is 'notable' it will already have and article free of charge, if it is not it will be deleted. Who was this editor? He may have good credentials. Then we can advise further. Aspro (talk) 18:52, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Template and contents table

The contents table is not showing in articles where the Arab culture template is in. It is somehow in the "more" collapsible list of the template. What is the problem? e.g. Arab dance and Arab culture.

I removed the '=' tags from the template, it seems this solved it. Tarook97 (talk) 18:58, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, [3] fixed it. ==...== creates a section heading and the table of contents is by default placed right before the first section heading in the page. PrimeHunter (talk) 19:04, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, on the page for the Italian language I just found a link that was once a useful site but is now a porn advertising hub in German or somesuch (warning, NSFW: http://www.italofonia.org). I already removed it from that page obviously, what I wanted to know was whether there's some sort of tool or add-on that allows you to search other pages on wikipedia and sister projects that link to the same website? For instance in Wp:It we have this page: https://it.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?target=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.italofonia.org&title=Speciale%3ACercaCollegamenti with the site I just mentioned as an example.
