Sarurpur Kalan, or Saroorpur Kalan, is a large village about 10 km north of Baghpat, in Baghpat district, Uttar Pradesh state, India.[1] It is located halfway between Baghpat and Baraut. Towns near Sarurpur are Murthal and Rai in the west, Kutana in the north and Daula in the east.[2] Baraut Railway Station approx 11 km, sujra railway station is 5 km approx and Indira Gandhi International Airport are the nearest railway station and airport.

Sarurpur Kalan is a large village contains approx 13,000 population and 75% literacy rate and is mostly inhabited by traders and farmers. The famous 'Gufa wala Mandir' is situated near by this village. In addition to this, three Hindu temples, one Jain temple and two mosques fulfills the religious sentiments of its subjects. There is one government inter college and multiple private schools are available for primary and intermidate level studies. In addition to schools, one BEd college recognised by CCS University also available in village. SBI, Syndicate bank and post Office also running their branches to make accounts facilities available to villagers. One government hospital and multiple private clinics, run mainly by BAMS and BHMS, are there to facilitate the medical services to its people. Most of the population consists of Jats (Nains), Muslims and Jains. All its people lives with great religious harmony, till date no religious disharmony has been reported in this village which makes its ideal to follow by others. Bricks making facilities are the main trade upon which the whole economy of village runs in addition to agriculture. Also there are considerate number of persons who are working in government sector which includes teachers, army, air force, Delhi police, UP police. In last two UP police constable enrollment examination, Sarurpur Kalan has been the no.1 village in whole UP on account of no of candidates qualified the examination.
