Plagiarism and close paraphrasing

Hi. I'm afraid the Confiscated Armenian properties in Turkey article you contributed to has parts which are very closely paraphrased from Legislative Provisions of the Ottoman/Turkish Governments Regarding Minorities and Their Properties and other sources. This can be a problem under both our copyright policies and our guideline on plagiarism.

While facts are not copyrightable, creative elements of presentation – including both structure and language – are. For an example of close paraphrasing, consider the following: The source says:

"The net result of this 'protection' law was the channeling of property 'owned' by the Turkish state to Muslims through rigged auctions, which often excluded even Muslims of non-Turkish origin."

The article says:

"These auctions channeled the property unlawfully expropriated by the Turkish state to the general Muslim population through oftentimes 'rigged' auctions, which often excluded non-Muslims or non-Turkish Muslims."

or The source says:

"Any litigant claiming property or revenues derived from its sale or rental would have the state as defendants."

The article says:

"Any litigant claiming property of revenues derived from its sale or rental would have the state as defendants."

Here are diffs where you added this content 1 and 2. These are two examples; there are other passages that similarly follow quite closely.

Pənahabad coin

Hi . Your omition in article Shusha seems to delete an important image . As you know , there is an ongoing struggle between Armenian and Azeri sides about the history of the region . A coin with the text of Fathali shah is important in showing the loyalty [at least temporal] of the Azeri side to Qajars . As you wrote " I couldn't find image elsewhere. if anyone can find it...feel free to repost it to the article " , I did find the image in this address :The coin . It would be of great help to the article if you re-include the image to the article .

Hi Proudbolsahye, I'm sorry I can't pass this as it is. I think if you just make a final check of the sources, it should be okay. I'm a bit concerned about the neutrality too; for example, it doesn't seem necessary to quote so much from Ussher about what he heard, when this is a biography of Yarrow. Thanks for the welcome. I added the criminal template and added what happened after the murder, which was on Zohrab's article. I don't know that much more about him and don't have any of the books sourced, though it does sound like he was ordered to commit the murders and was then used as a scapegoat. Jbarta (talk · contribs), thank you so much for taking the time and effort to restoring the photograph. It looks great. The photograph has received a lot of attention since it portrays such a powerful emotion. I think we should do anything we can to restore or improve its quality so that it receives the FP status is deserves. Unfortunately, there have been some difficulties, as me and Centpaccr already recognized, which is making it extremely difficult to have a "perfect" rendition where everyone may support or oppose in unison. Oppose votes have ranged from complaints that the photograph was "too altered" or "not altered enough" with some stating that it shouldn't have been altered at all. I think this is a problem when it comes to FP nominations in general. If a photograph has been altered, voters will have their own alterations in their own mind which will never appeal to ones individual subjective point of view. It's become a true Catch 22. The basic problem is that the first "restoration" was pretty badly done. You may not notice it, but as you have seen... others did. Hopefully this new edit will be better recieved because it's a more straightforward cleanup... taking the time to do it well and not getting silly with destructive edits. I don't know if it will cross the FP threshold, but we'll see how it goes. Falsification of Sources

Where did you get "the genocidal campaigns against both minorities" [3] in Bjornlund, M. (January 01, 2008). The 1914 cleansing of Aegean Greeks as a case of violent Turkification. Journal of Genocide Research, 10, 1, 41-58. The source is clear:

Seen from the vantage point of observers in the major harbour city of Smyrna (Izmir), and in Constantinople (Istanbul), the Ottoman capital, CUP policies of group persecution began in earnest with the attempted ethnic cleansing of Ottoman Greeks living along the Aegean littoral..........In 1914, the aim of Turkification was not to exterminate but to expel as many Greeks of the Aegean region as possible as not only a “security measure,” but as an extension of the policy of economic and cultural boycott, while at the same time creating living space for the muhadjirs that had been driven out of their homes under equally brutal circumstances.

So Turkification does not refer to Armenian Genocide, it refers to attempts at assimilation, which failed according to your other source [6]

Given your continued attempts at falsifying sources, and based on my previous interactions with you (I already shared some of my concerns here: Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/IncidentArchive814#GA_reassessment_on_Turkish_people, specifically these diffs [7] [8] [9]), I would like to warn you about your conduct here on Wikipedia.

You seem to have many good contributions here [10], but you should be careful to remember that Wikipedia is not a soapbox or means of promotion and Wikipedia is not a battleground. Your edit background does suggest an anti-Turkish/anti-Turkey POV [11]. I really do not care about your personal opinions, but this becomes a problem when you try to push your POV in a disruptive manner, such as by falsifying sources.

You should also remember WP:NPOV. Articles written by you exemplify this lack of neutrality. For example, in Racism in Turkey, an article edited almost exclusively by you, there is a 3 point list by Ali Suavi in the very lead. Besides the blatant disregard for manual of style, how relevant is this to Racism in Turkey? I doubt many people in Turkey -today- thinks "Turks are superior to other races in political, military and cultural aspects."

Those 2 are just few examples. I do not have time to go though your edit history now to find more specific examples, but over months of interaction with you, I have noticed a potentially problematic pattern. Also remember that there are two broad rulings of ARBCOM which may apply to issues such as these:
