UEFA Europa League
During the prior season, Sevilla finished sixth in La Liga. Since the winners of the Copa del Rey, Valencia, also qualified for European competition based on league position, the spot awarded to the cup winners (Europa League group stage) was passed to the sixth-placed team.

Notes
- ^ F91 Dudelange played their home matches at Stade Josy Barthel, Luxembourg City, instead of their regular home stadium Stade Jos Nosbaum, Dudelange.
- ^ Due to on-going renovations of the Estadi Ciutat de València, Levante played their remaining home matches of the season at the Estadi Olímpic Camilo Cano.[6]
- ^ Bergantiños played at Riazor instead of their regular stadium As Eiroas, in Carballo, as it does not meet the requirements established by the Royal Spanish Football Federation.[10]
