Kyrgyzstan has appeared in five Summer Games and five Winter Games as an independent state and has won three medals. It previously appeared under the Soviet Union. In 1992, Kyrgyzstan has joined in the league with the Unified Team, while in 1994, Kyrgyzstan has made its very first appearance at the Winter Olympics and the Summer Olympics in 1996 after the breakup of the Soviet Union.
