List of aircraft carriers in service

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Rob984 (talk | contribs) at 21:48, 26 November 2016 (woops, restored wikilinks). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

This is a list of aircraft carriers which are currently in service, reserve, under construction, or being rebuilt. An aircraft carrier is a warship with a full-length flight deck, hangar and facilities for arming, deploying, and recovering aircraft.[1] The list only refers to the status of the ship, not availability or condition of an air wing. This includes helicopter carriers and amphibious assault ships, which are vessels whose primary purpose is to carry, arm, deploy, and recover aircraft.
