Shankarlal Banker was an Indian independence movement activist. He was one of the early recruits of Mahatma Gandhi, and had a major role to play in the textile labour struggle in Ahmedabad. On 10 March 1922, Gandhiji and Shankarlal Banker, as producer and editor of Gandhi's newspaper Young India, were accused of treason and arrested.[1][2]
