Google hits don't accurately measure the notability of the 90s athletes as well as the do 21st century athletes. We can go to AFD if you want. I will contest any suggestion of removal and want the tag removed. My guess is that she is considered important enough by her accomplishments to stay. Reply to my talk page. Construction of Chicago Spire

Just so you are aware the construction of the Chicago Spire has not yet officially begun. They have started digging at the site, but Shelbourne and the rest of the community don't consider the building "officially" under construction yet. As soon as they start inserting caissons into the earth construction will begin. Because this is supposed to happen July 9th I won't change any of your edits, but I thought I'd let you know. The last one, you just recreated with much of the same copied content! Rearranging the order of sentences and changing a word or two is not sufficient. One more thing, also fairly important. When you need to copy content from one Wikipedia page to another, such as when you are splitting a large article into two, you must indicate the source of the material where you do the pasting. An edit summary noting the name of the source article is sufficient. The GNU free documentation license, which covers all of the text in the project, requires that we keep track of all of the contributors. Library template

Caution, though Wikipedia does encourage editors to be bold when editing, that is actually cautioned against with templates. I'm all for improvment, but it needs to be done correctly, and with the library template it was not done correctly. If you click on the "what links here" link for the template you will see that the template is used on more than 50 articles, which means you have screwed up everyone of those articles that had an image using the previous text field. Either revert your edits, go through all the articles and update the infoboxes, or re-add the "library logo" field to co-exist with the "image field" you have added. I personally prefer the "image field" over a logo, so that is an improvment, but we can just screw up all the other articles. Aboutmovies 06:49, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

I changed from Administration to Presidency because it reflects a larger subject matter. The "Administration" only reflect those officials that served under a President during his term of office while "Presidency" includes all officials, events, and other matters relating his tenure as President. Please stop adding POV to Alan Colmes entry bio

Atsuishin, I think you are wrong to keep changing the first paragraph of the Alan Colmes article to reflect the views of his critics. I'm a little newer to Wikipedia than you but I am sure that it's unfair to the article's neutrality for the opening paragraph to state that the subject of the article is wrong. Your version also includes 3 links to establish this and they all go to websites of his critics. Again, this is anything but neutral. I do agree there is a debate about whether Alan Colmes is a true blue liberal, and that's why there is a section for critics. That's fine. Within the context of the whole article, yes is important to have those things. However, your version makes it seem as if his critics' opinions of him are just as important as the basic biographical details about him. If it was truly without POV maybe you would include Colmes, his supporters, and his critics. Or maybe, as I think, the first section should include just the basic facts, and as I already pointed out, there is a criticism section to deal with those things you noted. Just because they're well sourced doesn't mean they belong in the first paragraph. Your version even omits his radio show. It's pretty clear you don't like him and want negative opinions in the first paragraph. That is POV. And I will keep correcting the page, too. I doubt there are many people outside the Fox News PR office that would describe Colmes at best as a moderate democrat (DLC), if you can provide some other prominent critics on the left, however I'd by open to changing my mind. 2) on the basic facts; I very much agree with your desire to stick to the basic facts and if questions of ideology are removed I wouldn't mine supplanting the disputed edits to the criticism section. 3) I can tell you're not quite as familiar with wikipedia as you could be, otherwise you probably would have refrained for stating that "I don't like Colmes", prehaps you examine the Assume good faith policy, your superstitions of my bias not withstanding (and mine of yours) shouldn't lead you to assume that I have malicious intentions.

I think your personal arguments about where Colmes stands are all fine and I don't even completely disagree... but they simply don't belong in the first paragraph. There is a criticism section, and that's where it goes. I refer to my point about how the intro section should be limited to factual information and not be colored by views of his critics. There is a place for that. And again, your version leaves out his radio show, which he has done for longer than Hannity & Colmes. I'm unclear about your argument, introductions are suppose to include the most notable thing about a person or subject, so for instance Jane Fonda is a Oscar winning actor but her article mentions the role she played during the Vietnam war. Colmes would probably not be very notable, save of the response the he has from his critics commenting on his employment at fox news, there are plenty of radio talk show host. I have a subject view that Colmes ideological Claims are not very accurate, however that does not make any opposing argument objective simply because it is in opposition. You state the intro section should be "limited to factual information" which of course is obviously why I have been editing the current articles state. It is not a fact, in my view that Colmes is "Liberal". Fortunately its is also the view share by many critics who self identify as liberals. furthermore nothing in the opening section is not factual, I present, as a stated above, the fox news version of events and then I present the critics, both are clearly denoted and both are sourced. You state that you feel the articles criticism has a place and should be lumped to together at the end, but you don't seem to be changing the article to reflect those beliefs. The most important thing about Alan Colmes is that many liberals don't believe he is liberal enough? Well, that's a subjective interpretation. I would argue you wouldn't even know who Colmes is if he wasn't a TV and radio personality, so the TV and radio personality aspects of his career should go up top. I further disagree that something that's listed in his Fox News bio is so important that it belongs in the primary facts about him. And as for your citing the Wikipedia rule that one should Assume Good Faith -- well, one doesn't have to assume good faith forever. You clearly want the entry to be negative toward Alan Colmes. That's not good faith. One reason I say this is that you attach 3 sources to that sentence. Really, if you need 3 sources then it's obviously pretty contentious. It is a *fact* that Colmes does radio and TV. His relative liberalism is a matter of *opinion*. Therefore it belongs in the following paragraph, and that's where it stays now. I apologize for not commenting again, but I have been traveling. Anyway I thought your last version was much more fair, removing even the left vs. right aspect of the show makes sense to me. My grounds are just that including facts about subjective opinions are best left out of the main paragraph. For example, the first paragraph of Oliver Stone's entry does not say "many critics argue he blends fiction with fact in a way that does disservice to popular conceptions of recent history" although this is undoubtedly true. I got the list at the National Academies of Science Web site. There is a directory form where you can search for members of the academies by name, institution, field, etc. Unfortunately I don't have bios for any of the ones without Wikipedia articles. Information on those profs is difficult to find, as many of these professors retired long before Wikipedia rise to prominence.

Wash U image

I've been in touch with the Wash U administration, and we've come to a compromise. As you know, they object to the official seal being used. The administration has agreed to use their "more unofficial" seal on Wikipedia. Of course, the compromise means nothing if Wikipedia editors want another image. Hopefully we can settle this issue. Fix awkward wording

I reverted one of your edits to Washington University in St. Louis. The edit summary said "fix awkward wording" but it deleted informative and well-sourced information. Also the population density surrounding Wash U's campus reflect an urban density not suburban. Just wanted to let you know cause I know you make many productive edits for Wikipeda. Thanks!
