Hi Brankestein. Just wanted to check in with you about this edit. Yes, I know in Spanish the diacritics on the words are needed, but in usage for the name of the group? All of the sources I can find, as well as self-references (such as [1]) leave this off. I just was wondering what rationale you had for making that edit. SpencerT♦C 20:59, 21 January 2014 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:14Falbumcover.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:14Falbumcover.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 08:53, 3 December 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. 220 of Borg 03:40, 5 March 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Zion live 2017.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Zion live 2017.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. – Train2104 (t • c) 15:19, 17 April 2017 (UTC)
Despacito
Hey Brankestein, as you are the main contributor to Despacito, you must have seen that the user Iknow23 disputed that the original and remix versions are being counted as one. I think Billboard has made it quite clear thus far with their two articles ([2] and [3]) that they are being counted as one, considering it was noted as having moved up the chart from "48–9" when Bieber was not credited last week. As I have said to them, the original version is still selling and its sales are merely being combined with the remix from this week on. Billboard's articles have also just said the remix has "helped" it make the top 10, not that the remix alone has achieved this. If you disagree, can you please make it clear to them that you do as well/revert as you see fit? I really hope they don't start an edit war over it, but surely if more than one editor disagrees with them, especially you, as the user who has contributed the most to the article, it helps the case. Thanks. Ss112 04:31, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- @Ss112: I agree with you. You want to delete the Billboard Hot 100 No. 9 peak of the Remix version section? Brankestein (talk) 04:43, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- I'm not sure we should delete that, as Billboard has combined both unlike other countries' charts that have just credited the original "Despacito" (while only a few have credited "Despacito (Remix)", like Sweden). I'm assuming when Billboard updates its charts later, they will credit Bieber's version in the top 10, whereas prior to this week it just said "Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee", and their article has made it clear they are combining the remix's chart history with that of the original version (as the No. 9 peak won't be credited as a new entry, but will say it has moved up from 48), so it makes sense to have it in both to me. Ss112 04:49, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, I will make it clear if this happens again. Brankestein (talk) 04:56, 25 April 2017 (UTC)

Despacito table
Hi, thanks for all your work on Despacito. On the Despacito updated view count table, I have a few concerns to discuss with you.
a) I don't think it is clear that the ranking means "Fastest to each milestone".
b) I think that the "peak" ranking is less informative to a reader than the current ranking. The source also refers to current ranking, so the peak ranking is unsourced.
c) In the same vein, I don't think that the "Displaced by" column is significant, it is also unsourced, and it is also not really expandable if more videos displace it (or if one Spanish-language video and one overall music video displace it). So I would get rid of this.
It may be that the table I made yesterday wasn't the best way of fixing these issues but it might be a good starting point - I am going away for a few days, and so if you agree, please fix it in your preferred way.

Despacito Hot 100 No. 1
Hey, I was thinking of writing something about it, but then I was thinking you'd probably like to kinda restructure the chart performance section on Despacito now that it's reached number one on the Hot 100? Ss112 18:44, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
- Feel free to write what you have in mind. We will see if the section needs to be restructured. Brankestein (talk) 19:19, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
- I've added a bit, but I'm still not sure if that is noticeable enough or worded as well as it could be. I think reaching number 1 on the Hot 100 is one of its most notable achievements thus far, so it should definitely be/stay in the first paragraph somewhere. Ss112
- I don't think there's much more information to add. We should wait some time if the song has consecutive weeks at number one on the Hot 100 or something else, like a record of some kind. Brankestein (talk) 20:48, 15 May 2017 (UTC)

The Good Article Nominations Page Needs Your Help!
Hi there. You nominated an article for evaluation against the good article criteria some time ago, but I noticed you have yet to review an article yourself. Although it's not mandatory, it would be helpful if every user who creates a nomination also reviewed at least one other article, as this would help clear the massive backlog. Reviewing someone else's article can also help you in the long run: every article reviewed brings yours one position closer to the top of the nominations list! If you worked on the article you nominated, chances are you're already familiar with the six good article criteria. It really isn't hard to review, and may take an experienced editor only a few hours to complete. If you have the time and would like to help, please click here, take a moment to figure out which article you'd like to review, then click on its (start review) button. Thank you for reading, and if you need assistance with your review at any point, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page and I'll respond to you as soon as I can. Homeostasis07 (talk) |
Daddy Yankee discography
Not that I particularly care about your removal of the column, but what do you mean with this edit summary? Ireland and the UK are two separate countries and two separate charts. While it's true that the Official Charts Company has recently taken up helping to publish the Irish charts, we don't exclude Ireland solely based on the fact that an album or artist charted in the UK as well. That may apply to Scotland. Ss112 21:55, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- My bad, I thought that Ireland was part of the UK. What a foolish mistake... Thanks for letting me know. Brankestein (talk) 23:11, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Daddy Yankee Puerto Rico Star.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Daddy Yankee Puerto Rico Star.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>

Barrio Fino
Hello:
The copy edit that you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Barrio Fino has been completed.
In the Composition section I added a "clarification needed" tag to this section as I was unsure exactly what the last part meant.
- "Corazones" is a social rap that focuses on how every person, represented by hearts, "is different and feels different things".[13] Daddy Yankee wrote the lyrics because he believes that the mass media focuses more on reporting negative news, entailing him to take notice about the needs of poor neighborhoods.[13][18]
Other than that I think the article is in great shape.
Good luck with your GA nimination.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Regards,
Twofingered Typist (talk) 13:20, 21 August 2017 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Daddy Yankee Orchestra.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Daddy Yankee Orchestra.jpg.
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

Daddy Yankee (discography)
I would like to let you know that I understand why you reverted my edit, adding the Havana (Remix) track. However, if you ever decide to add it onto the page, make sure to add it to the lead artist subsection, not the featured artist subsection, as he owns the track along with Camila Cabello. Every875 (talk) 22:29, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
- Hi! Every performer involved in a track, lead or guest, owns it for songwriting credits, and I'm surprised that Daddy Yankee isn't credited as a feature artist following the original song (which is credited as Camila Cabello featuring Young Thug). Anyway, I don't think that the song needs to be on the list for the moment, since it's a remix version that didn't manage to rank separately on any chart (yet). The table would be unnecessary long if we add every single remix version that featured Daddy Yankee... Brankestein (talk) 22:37, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
- Update: It looks like the track has just charted! Maybe now is a good time to add it to Daddy Yankee's discography. I found it here: [6] After all, it's a remix of a hit song, and Yankee might want it to be displayed. Every875 (talk) 22:39, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
- Hi! Sorry but iTunes' charts are deprecated in Wikipedia: "Charts pertaining to only one specific retailer should not be used." Brankestein (talk) 01:24, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
- At long last it has charted! I do not mean to be annoying but Camila Cabello's discography page links to a reliable source, PROMUSICAE ([7]), saying the remix has charted in Spain. Maybe now it could be included? Just remember, Daddy Yankee is a lead artist. Every875 (talk) 21:19, 12 December 2017 (UTC)
- The Camila Cabello's discography page shows the remix of "Havana" on the Other charted songs section, so it should be correct to do the same on Daddy Yankee's discography. Brankestein (talk) 01:45, 13 December 2017 (UTC)

Despacito year-end charts
Hey, I don't know if it was you who added all the year-end charts to Despacito, but generally we wouldn't include the On-Demand, Streaming and Radio Songs charts if we don't have these in the weekly charts section. Even at year's end, these are still component charts that factor into its overall Hot 100 placement. Same with the overlinking—we generally don't link to the charts or publishers, as they are already used in the section in the first column per WP:OVERLINK. Ss112 07:48, 17 December 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry, it was me. EDIT: Just to know, in future years, if "Despacito" appears on the year-end chart of Digital Songs (e.g.) without ranking on the Hot 100, could it be on the year-end column of that year? Brankestein (talk) 16:01, 17 December 2017 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Despacito Diamond RIAA.jpg
