Non-free rationale for File:MC Buffalo 1990.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:MC Buffalo 1990.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Majora (talk) 01:28, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Alvaronacinovic.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Orphaned non-free image File:Rkcrikvenica.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Rkcrikvenica.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:37, 15 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Alvaronacinovichrvatska.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Alvaronacinovichrvatska.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Majora (talk) 00:59, 30 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open![edit]

Hello, HipHopRijeka. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Zamet2016-17.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Zamet2016-17.jpeg, which you've attributed to (c) RK Zamet. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 23:28, 1 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Handball articles1[edit]

Hey, great job on expanding the croatian handball articles. One small thing, the section "References" should be above "External links". And the medals are sorted by gold, silver, bronze and then chronological with the oldest first if there are more than 1. Thank you. Kante4 (talk) 16:48, 25 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

20XX–present also not needed, just leave present out. Weight also because it changes all the time. Kante4 (talk) 18:10, 25 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Teo Čorić has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Career stats tables[edit]

Hi there. Good job adding all those career stats tables. :-) You might want to consider using the current layout for your tables. • Speaking of that, can you please add a proper ref for Mauro Ravnić's Rijeka statistics? I had to remove it because you only inserted the club's homepage and nothing else, and when I browsed there I found nothing regarding the player (also, the link for his Yugoslavia caps was dead and so I replaced it with another reliable link). Disambiguation link notification for March 12[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2017–18 RK Zamet season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gorica (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:05, 12 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sources and communication[edit]

I have contacted you about several unreferenced articles you created; you have continued to edit but have not responded or addressed the issues. Please see WP:Communication is required, WP:V and WP:BURDEN. You have also been blocked for adding unsourced material; please stop doing this. Boleyn (talk) 17:35, 13 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You have continued to edit but not responded, although these are serious issues and other editors have also raised them with you. I have pointed out that WP:Communication is required and directed you to WP:V and WP:BURDEN. You are now risking a block - please respond. Boleyn (talk) 20:43, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
If you do not respond, I will have to look at initiating an WP:ANI which could lead to a block. Articles like 1997-98 Croatian First A League are still unreferenced. I have no idea if you understand that 'external links' are just 'suggestions for further reading, not necessarily sources used in the article' or if you understand why your creations have been tagged for improved referencing. I don't know if you understand because you refuse to communicate. Communication is an essential part of WP:CONDUCT and WP:DISPUTE - WP:Communication is required, not optional. We're here to build an encylopaedia together. Please respond. Boleyn (talk) 07:23, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You have ignored 10 messages from me, over a period of weeks. Please respond at the ANI. Boleyn (talk) 20:25, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hello, I've blocked your account indefinitely due to your long-term addition of unsourced content and your complete refusal to communicate. Swarm 01:43, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I put in references to the articles that were unreferenced so I don't see why you blocked me. HHRIA123, 20:40, 4 April 2018 (UTC).[reply]

Boleyn, Swarm is there any way I could get unblocked? Please write a response I don't know how to communicate on wikipedia, I don't even know if you'll see this but if you do please respond. HHRIA123, 13:57, 7 April 2018 (UTC).[reply]

Hi, HHRIA123, yes, we will see your messages if you tag us. You can certainly be unblocked if you follow the procedures at WP:UNBLOCK. You did add in some sources around the time of the ANI - some were to unreliable sources that shouldn't be used, like other Wikipedia articles and most were unclear because they weren't WP:INLINECITED, but it was an improvement and I thank you for your work on that. However, it took months of me taking a lot of time to message you and try to solve the problems before you addressed this, and that isn't fair on other editors. Please read back over my messages and click on the blue links. We need to know that you understand the importance of WP:V and that in future you will add clear, reliable references to all articles you create.

The second part of why you were blocked is 'complete refusal to communicate.' We need to know why you ignored my ten messages and if you understand that if an editor contacts you with a concern, you do have to respond. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 12:34, 7 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Most of the sports sources (sources not references) I put in where from books if it would be better i could take a photo and link it as a reference as to what I put in the articles so you don't delete them. As to the not answering and communicating I didn't know I had to answer I just went and fixed the things in the articles that you and other administrators said where mistakes. Sorry about that I didn't mean any disrespect. (talk) 14:45, 7 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. If a book was your source, you just need to add something like 'Rawls, John. A Theory of Justice. Harvard University Press, 1971, p. 1', preferably WP:INLINECITED. As for not responding, if you look at User talk:HHRIA123#Sources and communication, you will see how I took the time on three occasions to explain that WP:Communication is required and that this is a matter of policy; you also did not fix the mistakes until well after they were brought to your attention. Thanks for the apology. Have a look at WP:UNBLOCK, make sure you've followed all the things you need to do and Swarm will look at it in due course. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 13:47, 7 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:MateoHrvatin2016.jpeg[edit]

However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

HHRIA123 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I would like to be unblocked so I could fix the mistakes and errors I've made before being blocked as I started to. After being unblocked I would like to continue editing and this time I would communicate with the administrators unlike before as it was a problem on my part. I would like to continue to edit and create sports articles (mostly about football and handball) and music articles (artists, albums ect.). So in conclusion I now know what my errors where and I'm sorry for putting the administrators trough the hassle. If unblocked I promise not to do these things again, to fix the articles that need to be fixed and to continue improving and adding articles in wikipedia.

Decline reason:

This does not address your persistent addition of unsourced content. Yamla (talk) 11:38, 8 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

With my previous unblock request I would like to add that I now know that I was wrong not to reference or source content in articles. I am sorry. I hope you would please unblock me.

Decline reason:

At the end of the day, an unblock appeal needs to convince the reviewing administrator that unblocking would be in Wikipedia's best interests. I find myself unconvinced. You need to be more specific in your responses. For example: why is it a problem if you add unsourced content? Which policies are relevant? How will you go about making sure content is sourced in future? How will you ensure you communicate; what venues will you use? If we can see that you've read the relevant policies and you know how and where to do things, we're much more likely to remove the block. Simply saying, "I know what I did, I won't do it again," doesn't tell us anything about how you will behave if unblocked. Yunshui  12:55, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Eldesperadolet3.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Eldesperadolet3.jpeg.

Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 03:00, 5 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Croatian national handball team results has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not really notable to have a list of results here.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Notice

If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. jlwoodwa (talk) 20:49, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
